According to my deep research, whenever a police station is built on a formerly secure place, the security of that area goes on deteriorating because of the fact that they collude with the criminals and also the thugs feel more secure in hands of police than in the mobs hands.

They don't sell land and mostly to new comers, that's how they are able to profile the population and know who's who. It's not unusual to have most families occupying the land on a 3rd or 4th generation but that said, it's a very beautiful place to be.😘

This is how Kikuyu villages used to be before colonialism, no jails, you are disciplined by your OWN people, if you can't change you leave. The police were introduced to keep an eye on Africans, not necessarily to protect them. Times have changed, but the community that has ownership of it's security will always win.
