- Henry Cole has enlisted the help of his friend and engine-whisperer Sam Lovegrove to fettle the motor on his Triumph 3HW, ready for his world speed record attempt. But will he be able to persuade a reluctant Sam to travel to Bonneville with him?
You two Gents remind me of my best childhood friend of 50 plus years. We’ve been riding together for years. No better feeling than tooling along back roads on a early morning together!
“More carbs attached to it than deep pan pizza!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
I can only imagine how fun it would be to hang out with guys like you!! Y’all make my day!
Love seeing old bits of kit like this out and about and not stuffed in a dingey museum gathering dust!. Nice one!. Nuff said 🙂👍
*The dynamic duo are back in action. Yes the Ariel is magic, more of the same please* 👍
The smell of Castrol R reminds me of going to Speedway meets on cold winter nights.
You guys are the Keith and Mick of Bike restoration - yeha !
Great craic !
Yippee! So glad🤓 Great to see you both out on the road again & Lovely countryside xx
You know it makes sense! Henry had a good point, well delivered 😃 Can’t have one of you without the other 👍
Another good watch 😎☝️just need more and longer episodes lol keep up the good work
Cracking video, well done you two!
Henry thanks for the video, ace to see you with Sam again 👍
Great, Sam and Henry off to Bonneville again.
As a kid I used to love the smell watching speedway at Hackney Hawks back in the 60s.
Oh gosh!! Yes Castrol R40... Had it in my 66 Bonnie along with other friends!! Gloriously aromatic especially on the A361 between Chipping Norton And Shipton under Wychood after the pictures!!! 😃😂😂
These two seem genuine proper mates!
Offset crank pin will give a little more stroke, grind a little off the bottom of the cam will give more lift, lighten the flywheel, carb extension, maybe flat side or a Gardener, think Sam knows this already . Good to see you guys upto no good again, lovely vid thanks. ps check ignition system from a chain saw or a lawn mower, just saying.
Most excellent - the correct decision has been made.
Was ace meeting you at the harrogate book signing. you are a nice chap to talk to...........
Wonderful video, recognize the shots they used for the intro of Shed and Buried.
Yes, so this was a while back then?
@@bonkeydollocks1879 No idea when it was filmed, but programme was on every day a while ago.

That's where the titles from shed and buried came from!
thanks from Portugal 🤟👍👍
I love watching you guys... I don't do motorbikes, never will, but this is a MUST watch. WHY?
On a side note - sat watching Worlds Greatest Motorcycle rides - America Highway 1 - HOW YOUNG - or is it a youngers unknow brother?
I live down there and know the road well. I wonder how long they had to wait to get a dry day lol.
Just got to get Skid to go along and you got a full house 😀😀
“…and that’s the great thing about vintage bikes. They just go on & on….” (like their owners; for which I am guilty)
I want Sam as my surrogate dad or at least neighbour. 😬👍
Sam bike is a aerial is that Square aerial four as my dad had one and he said he could not ride it with out a sidecar it had so much power
Thought Sam might shock every one and get the honda out for the ride
So, what became of the Triumph 3HW?
Henry dear fellow.. Is your lovely friend Sam related to Barry Lovegrove AKA Bunt from Shipton under Wychood originally??
Hi Henry hi Sam
Love you two xden uk biker
I thought Sam had move to France?
