Yuneec Breeze Broken Glass Sensor - How does it fly now?

- My Breeze stopped flying and said there was an Infrared Sensor Error. I saw the glass is broken. So I broke off the glass and surprise, surprise! It flies really good!!! Agh, but now how long do I have before I brake the sensors themselves? Good thing I have insurance.
The Yuneec Breeze is under 200 dollars at Amazon amzn.to/2IGQ2z3 & Ebay goo.gl/cxS2AT
On this channel, I do Drone reviews, Action Cameras, High Tech toys, and give tech tips and great Ideas.
If there's a video you want me to make, send me an email at tommydrone55@gmail.com
That Breeze of yours has been through a lot of adventures
Yeah, I've crashed it more than another drone. Funny thing it's slow in comparison. Truth, I have insurance on it, so I've been abusive.
good job tommy happy you got it working ☺☺
Man I just got a brand new one I’m taking it back!! U just saved me some money 💰
The Breeze is an interesting drone in that (no-kidding) Every model (3 total) All 3 had an Infrared Error. Meaning it would have problems. However, it still works. I'm thinking the DJI Spark is probably a better choice.
I got one cheap, with broken out glass and it flies just great. I actually tried using an infrared passband filter to block visible light and allow IR but it caused sensor failure indicate right away. The idea was to help increase contrast for the sensor but it didn't work at all. So, I just fly without the glass and never think about it anymore.
En mi caso conseguí un cristal para reloj , vienen en todos los tamaños y para el Breeze utilice uno de 21.3 mm. Trabaja excelente. Lo conseguí en una tienda donde reparan relojes vale menos de US $2.
can you compare the videos you have taken before and after. wondering if the lens is a polarized filter as well?
Do you mean the downward facing camera on the drone. That's used for tracking distance etc. I never put a lens on the filter of the Breeze. The glass that comes attached to the body of this drone is a special glass of course and when I switched it, I just put regular clear plastic there to protect it. What I found was the drone flew fine with or without the extra glass protection. So I removed the lens and just flew without anything. It still flies great too.
Tommy, just to clarify, is their another purpose for the glass other than protection? or does it also reflects/deflects lights?
just cleaned out the glass when my broke. Don't fly indoors, too many optical flow errors, maybe from low light condition, will crash flying through shadow areas.
Hey Tommy "vertigo drones" online. In your case you get both pcs you need in one shot.
Would it say overweight on the controller
Cool, thank's
Maybe I should break out my glass because I get a lot of those optical flow errors.
Hey guys vertigo drones, you can buy bottom pc with gps cover $40. Hope this helps if you want to improve the looks of yours.
Cool, they are cheaper than amazon too. Here's there link www.vertigodrones.com/Yuneec-Breeze-Cabin-Cover_p_397.html this site charges 40 dollars and Amazon charges 50. However, I have an idea, what if I take the glass from a 1 dollar flash light. Would that work? I'm going to try it this week and see what happens.
I went to throw the drone away without removing the broken glass and the drone went down or my application pulled out something for the sensor glass now it took the glass to blow
I chopped up a bird with my phantom but it stayed airborne.
That would have been cool to see. Some day, I'd love to catch a bird with the drone, I love those videos.
I was recording the flight but you can't see it happen. When I brought the quad down there was blood all over the props and body.
it affects nothing that the fellow found
True. I have since removed the glass lens and the drone flys fine.
to make the new yuneec breeze the new one is easy or to go to a technique
