Well can't compare these two countries. Philippines has always been the top in Asia when it comes to big pageants like MU. Beauty and brains like a real total package. The way they "move and talk" very classy! Unbeatable I should say. It's a fact not even debatable. Love from 🇬🇧

Lemme be honest. The Philippines is a powerhouse when it comes to beauty pageants (in Asia) and that is indicated in Miss Universe, almost every uear the Philippines is included within Top 20.

It’s just part of Philippine culture. The fiestas have queens, schools have beauty pageants,
local beauties in float parades. Even in the sixties towns have fiesta queen coronations, live bands and dance nights (with entrance tickets) Universities have beauty pageants with Q&A and talent shows.
Hindi lang asia pre, kundi sa buong mundo, mapa latin america man yan, europe north america, top 1 ang pinas.
Philippines is too strong but cant deny Thailand sends stunning ladies every year. Chalita was my favorite Thailand representative❤️ Love from Philippines

Philippines 2010-2014 are ahead in terms of presentation skills. Their walks are polished.
IDK but starting 2018, the Thailand was always searching for a "Catriona" standard for their represent in MU. I think it is because how Catriona grace their stage and dahlin' she have an enormous impact, not only in MU; but also in other big pageants ❤️

Philippines is a powerhouse not only because of Ms Universe. Credit also for the crowns of the most prestigious pageant of Ms World, Earth, Intercontinental, Globe, Reyna Hispana Americana and im not sure if I missed one.
Youv'e missed Miss Tourism, Miss Aura International, And Miss Culture International philippine's get new crown...this pageant held in South Africa...
And also Supranational. Never mind the MGI coz its a favoritism pageant.

I never actually watched miss universe when I was young and only started with 2015 as I was in the hospital at the time and everyone was watching it live on tv. But OMG, the earlier queens were literally gorgeous, confidant, runway-worthy goddesses🙀👏❤. I'm not bashing or anything but, the ones after 2018, idk what happened but for some reason, a part of that strong aura and confidence was gone. However, it is understandable as I think they felt pressured too much when people said Miss Universe 2018 Philippines was the best miss universe they've seen.

I think we can all agree that these women have a body that every women dream of. Thailand candidates just need some it factor/impact. They already have a body that can made them advance. PH candidates are confident, have strong personality, and they know how to make themselves noticeable and have an impact in the crowd. That is why they are constantly been on the runner these past decade. If Thailand will work on that aspect, for sure they will have the crown someday.

I'm from the Philippines, but honestly I feel the Thai candidates are not less attractive than the ones from the Philippines. I've noticed being able to speak fluent English is one of the more important factor in most beauty contests. If they would just brush up their English and learned how to walk and strut like a model, all these other girls will have an equal chance of winning.

MUP Org needs to pick a representative that will make us place in the top 5 again, we are barely placing in the top 10 for 2 consecutive years, I hope they pick a really strong candidate for MU 2021.

Thailand was never been close to the Philippines when comes to placement and winning.
Don’t underestimate thailand. They were the first MU winner in 1965 from South East Asia. And 1966 first runner up. Another MU in 1988. They had many top 10 in the past, but they were not too serious about pageantry. But they been doing well lately many top 5 past few years. So they are taking pageantry seriously now…..
@@alisa1741 i think he's not underestimating thailand, HE'S STATING FACTS. Thailand is still far from PH when it comes to pageantry but they are really climbing up soooo fast. Philippines won MU four times already, won MI six times, MW once, ME four times, MS once etc. and a lot of placements ans runners-up. Tho thailand has been placing a lot lately and won MI and MS recently. And I'm 100% sure they will get their 3rd MU crown pretty soon because of the consecutive placements. 😉

I love both countries and all the other Asian countries. We all know the Phillippines is the powerhouse of Asia when it comes pageantry. They take pageantry very seriously compared to other Asian countries. The Phillippines have the adventage because of their English speaking abilities. In recent years though other Asian countries are following the Phillippines footstep. The phillippines should not see this as a threat or competition, rather an encouragement for other Asians to be the powerhouse of the world. Asians should unite and support each other.
