I feel like the lack of audio and visual queue is a balance to the fact that so many Pokemon are constantly on screen. This way you still have to go up and check them, which is essentially encountering it like the old games. Finding shinies in this game has been a lot more fun that Legends Arceus where it would sparkle before you even saw it.

Its only been eeveelutions +eevee and gyrados, but dont you agree? The eeveelutions are amazing themselves but some of their shinies stick out in an amazing way.) So me and my friend are a bit confused about shiny buff's so do the food/charm shiny buffs work on all wild pokemon or only on outbreak pokemon? and when stacking that 60 kill streak in an outbreak do you have that buff forever when hunting that mon type in outbreaks or if you get the same outbreak again is it refreshed and you gotta stack that 60 kill streak again?
No. you can do your quests or level up your pokemon then come back later. the only thing that matters is the event itself. so as long as you dont defeat too many of them to end the outbreak it will be fine.
Try to get outbreaks near towns so you can simply go in and out of the town to respawn. Also, some outbreaks have "sweet spots" where you can optimize seeing a number of spawn spots after ending your respawn picnic. Sandwiches, even the best ones, do not guarantee a shiny, so make sure to save your game just before you make a sandwich. Sandwich power will disappear if you try to change the system clock, and will only last 30 minutes real world time, so be careful! Best of luck out there!
been doing masuda for a shiny charmander and i think im probably around 300 eggs so far and no luck ive been grinding through eggs like craaazy lately, ive also got the shiny charm i found a shiny deino by accident and i found a shiny froslass from an outbreak, im so happy! lol
great video... except you forgot one thing.. shiny charm usually stacks woth mesuda method so if i am not mistaken that takes the odds to 1 in 445 on a shiny , i however am not sure if that works in this game too, and whether or not the sparkeling boost from aandwich will lower it too, is so, i inmagine it to be 1 in 386 or so
Yes.but in my experience you can save while chaining and restart if u accidentally do that and it will retain your chain.. I did that for my shiny wooper and drakloak.
I really like shinies that has more than just one color. I dont like a shiny with just same color all around it. Like a shiny Staryu and Starmie has more color to it. And I love its shiny coz of it.
So the best way to do it is by getting the food buff and going to outbreaks, kill 60 of those Pokémon and reset the spawns by doing picnic mode until it spawns a shiny
You can save after you kill 60 in an outbreak and if you reset you will still continue with increased shiny odds? So in case the outbreak dissapear i can close the game and reset
I literally caught 3 shinies at the start of the game. (Scatterbug, Psyduck and Azurill) I was and am still in shock. I think I used up my life‘s luck now. + Scatterbug and Psyduck were like 5 minutes apart I think until now, I never got a shiny while playing the story.
The only problem with shiny farming wild pokemon is if you actually want to use them its nearly impossible to get a 5 or 6 IV shiny this way, where with egg farming your shiny can much more easily be a 5 or 6 IV with the desiered nature. Maybe im min/maxing too much but if I am going to put in the effort for an all shiny team I want them to be good enough to show off without getting stomped.

Omg thx so much for this info I really needed it. And also apparently if you have a Pokémon from a different language as well as another Pokémon from the same egg group then if you make them breed, the chances of it being a shiny drop to around 2000
the language trick is called the masuda method, coded in by jenuchi masuda in i believe gen 4. the egg group has no effect on shiny odds, just that if you try to breed pokemon from different groups, they wont me eggs at all

@@kaelyngee6170 its a small little cave idk exactly. its on route if you want to go from the ice to the ghost gym area. But just everywhere where snorunt spawns basicly, it was a full odds and wasn't particularly hunting it in Scarvi yet (I was in arceus though so very happy i got it in scarvy x3)
When I defeat 60 pokemon in the outbreaks, it has to be the same species? If im defeating Mewtwos and I defeat a Rayquaza accidentally does the chain break?

It you are farming by a town if you walk into it, all pokemon despawn so is quicker than using a picnic, hope this helps

it doesnt. save and reload, teleport to another place, defeat different pokemon does not matter as long as the mass outbreak is still ongoing.
Used this method to get a shiny vaporeon after only one picnic reset, works great!

Does shiny charm stack with mass outbreaks?
I’ve done a ton of outbreaks and no shiny. But just randomly encountered a shiny spoink 3 hours into the game
I found a shiny heracross with no sandwich boosters or shiny charm when trying to find 5 star terra raids to get herba mystica to get shiny pokemon
Honestly, I had a shiny with chunk, but then I got a new switch was my old one broke down and then I lost my little trunk

My favorite shiny is Trulatula and I did find one but I didn't put everstone on it in time then it evolved I was sad because I don't like the evolved shiny but I did find one of my other favorite shinys fortress but it used self destruct and I also had a shiny golduck I almost missed it had an ability that disabled self destruct and it was in my party but I wasn't using it as my first pokemon in my party :( my first shiny pokemon was Ratatata or however you spell it I've only seen four shinys on my life but only caught three of them :(
Can you see your catch combos anywhere like in let's go?
If getting a shiny is this easy, it would make me feel absolutely nothing for the one I just caught

I found a full-odds shiny shinx in my first 2 hours of playing! I was ecstatic because shinx is one of my favs and I’ve never had any luck with shinies. Seems he was a fluke because I’ve spent hours trying these outbreak resets and never found another shiny!!

Got two shinies today made a regular lvl 1 power electric sandwich for mareep and a shiny fletching showed up I took a other lap and then there was my shiny mareep
Just found a random shiny snorunt lurking in a cave. One of the shinies I was hunting in arceus so very cool! Didnt know how the mechanics worked yet, besides knowing about the sandwich buff. Good to know about the raids! Thing to look out for. Thanks for the video :3 shinies dont make a sparkle sound anymore right? Cause I just saw the different looking snorunt, unlike in arceus I didnt hear some kind of sparkling noice.

@@kaelyngee6170 its a small little cave idk exactly. its on route if you want to go from the ice to the ghost gym area. But just everywhere where snorunt spawns basicly, it was a full odds and wasn't particularly hunting it in Scarvi yet (I was in arceus though so very happy i got it in scarvy x3)

Is the 60+ chained and is it possible for it be broken?
When I defeat 60 pokemon in the outbreaks, it has to be the same species? If im defeating Mewtwos and I defeat a Rayquaza accidentally does the chain break?
It has to be 60 pokemon of the especies you're shiny hunting for.Also,there's no way to break the chain by defeating another especies

Along the same line - if I catch a shiny, does that reset my chain? Or can I keep searching for a 2nd one with the same boosted odds?
@@captain_britain Super curious on this as well. What resets my chain? Does flying to another location? Getting in a battle? Anytime I hit a loading screen? Something has to reset it otherwise we'd be running a chain non-stop.
