This game looks amazing, and I love seeing Cream being more included in the story. The ending line Sonic gives before the credits is very touching "Glad you're back!" Because we're glad that Cream's made her mark again! 🧡 Also, Ariem is a cool character, I wouldn't mind seeing her again in the IDW comics.

Might be just me but, Sonic sounds like a mixture of his Frontiers voice and his original high pitch one (Like how Roger did with Boom Sonic). Pretty nice combo. THANK YOU ROGER CRAIG SMITH!! YOU ARE THE G.O.A.T IN MY BOOKS!

This game has such a great style, and the animations are probably the best in-game rendered cutscenes we've ever had. The characters just look so expressive and alive when animated like this.

Considering we've hardly seen Cream the Rabbit in many many years (except in the comics) it is kinda surprising and nice they're giving her focus in the story. With Fang being a key secondary villain in "Sonic Superstars" (after disappearing for decades) it's nice they are finally giving obscure characters in Sonic more attention.

For a mobile game, these cutscenes go over the top of expectations. There are so many great things I could say about the characters and their interactions. From Cream's involvement with the team, to Knuckles and Ariem's relations in responsibility as guardians, even Ariem's character in particular is great. Hardlight really outdid theirselves with this game, even if it's short...short but sweet
Wow, I think this might just be the smoking gun that SEGA needs to invest in some newer, more animation-friendly models for newer mainline titles. There's so much more bounce and fluidity to the characters' movements here. While it's lacking a bit of polish (nothing new for Sonic) it looks miles better than anything we've seen from modern Sonic outside of pre-rendered video. These characters are so much more charming when they're allowed to be more emotive with their body language.

Wow. If I had a nickel every time Tails helped Cream with a new friend in the post credits of a game, I'd have two nickels. It isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

"Let's do it to it"... Was that a shout out to the 90s Sonic cartoons? Because that was Sonic's catch phrase in them, especially Sonic SatAM, I believe.
Is nobody gonna talk about the fact that Ian Flynn was a writer in this? Sure, this is no Frontiers, this is a simple, short, sweet plot but it totally works on its favor. Just compare this to Sonic Lost World's plot, both of them don't aim for the most complex thing ever but Dream Team goes straight to the point, the dialogue doesn't try to be "funny" for kids, and in general just has a nice flow, so it's short and sweet like I said. And THAT'S how you make good use of these lighter and less tense stories, props to people involved in this, the character interactions also makes Lost World look like trash... not that it's a hard thing to do but, you got me.

19:32 nice touch right there. Ariem talks in a way that knuckles feel the same, but with the Master Emerald. ARGHHHH I LOVE SONIC FRANCHISE SO MUUUUUCHHHH. Being a huge fan as a kid, its nice to see how much they did improve. I love the cutscenes and the facial expressions, its pure gold! Love how the characters were freed with their """""" pair""""", like Sonic and Amy, Tails and Cream (pls dont shipp, theyre kids.) Knuckles and Rouge. I LOVE TO SEE CREAM AND CHEESE ARE BACK!!

I like the voice Roger chose for Sonic here, not as high a pitch as in other games but not as low as in Frontiers. Don't know what they were going for with Rouge, though.

Those full cutscenes are actually pretty good to watch so far as possible. Sonic Dream Team gameplay was going to be the blast 😊
Looks like Amy is really taking up leadership in Sonic's circle.
i wasn't too fond of the voice changes in frontier but eventually warmed up to them because it actually made them sound more mature and serious after all they've gone trough, specially Amy since she seemed to have grown out of her crazy stalker personality and stopped going after sonic and actually became a independent and more mature person.
But what in the name of what's holy they did to Rouge's voice?

Ian Flynn did that to stroke himself off because he always has to shoehorn a reference. Mr. KnowingSmile gotta stroke his ego somehow.
That catchphrase would mean more if the Freedom Fighters actually were still around. This is just jangling keys. And it's hollow, especially Ian himself was responsible for killing Sally not once but TWICE for shock value. He also called the Freedom Fighters "outdated" and "defunct" and "not representative of the Sonic brand."
I'd rather he just stick to writing a story that stands on its own merits rather than bombarding fans with references and fanservice because "I'm a fan, too! LOL"
I honestly find these motion comic style cutscenes better than the frontiers "standing around and hitting the emote button every now and then" style

I am so HAPPY that Cream and Cheese are FINALLY back! I mean, their last appearance was in the Mario and Sonic Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, last time they were playable was the 3DS version of the Mario and Sonic Rio Olympic Games and their last appearance in a main Sonic game was Sonic Generations in 2011! No I am not counting Sonic Forces Speed Battle.
😂 In my own opinion, this game and the fact that cream was with Eggman canonizes that one Instagram fan comic that goes like:
Cream: Is everything made out of atoms?
Eggman: Yes, everything.
Cream: Are shadows?
Eggman: ….

On the other hand its NOT great that they brought back Karen Strassman as Rouge because A) this voice might be even worse than her Team Sonic Racing voice, and B) she is just a bad person in general!

I know I’m in the minority here but I honestly prefer Rebecca Hong’s Sonic X voice delivery for Cream. I really admired her “breathyness” approach to her character. It made Cream sound more dignified.
Rouge's voice was always this high? Idk but i think this voice is pretty out of character for her.
I wouldn’t go too hard on Karen if I were you, but I do agree that Rouge doesn’t sound that great, in that her voice is just much higher when it actually should be much lower than what is heard in Dream Team. Karen did portray Rouge with a lower pitch voice before, like in Generations and Forces. But now, I don’t understand why all of a sudden, it’s much higher and more annoying. I hope this problem is only temporary..please?

Seeing Knuckles actually talking to Cream, calling her kid, and lifting her onto his shoulder like a supportive big brother is so cool.
Seriously, it's so frustrating that scenes like these where Sonic characters actually interact with one another in a meaningful way are such a rarity in this series. Normally it's just "Here's Sonic spending a whole game being BFF's with some new character who nobody asked for and who doesn't even look or feel like a Sonic character and who will never be seen, heard of, or mentioned ever again and we have to treat it like it's the end of the dang universe. Meanwhile all of Sonic's actual friends are stuck on the sidelines twiddling their thumbs with nothing worthwhile to do in the story!"
Or it's "Oh look! There's Sonic's lame-o friends! Herpy Derp, ain't they silly? Ain't they so useless without Sonic? See, see critics, we hate Sonic's dumb friends as much as you do! Yeah, we get you, we're totally on the same page! Please buy our games!"
I'm so sick of that crap. Sega, stop letting haters and detractors dictate how to make your games and how to utilise your characters. Just let them be themselves and actually use them!

Here’s my take:
Graphics were amazing, but the voice acting and story fell a bit flat. The bosses had amazing designs, but were incredibly easy. The only boss I’d consider hard is the Four Man, given how the angles felt weird and the mechanics for Cream are new. The final boss didn’t even feel like one, just another course. If they had improved the game mechanics and put in more effort, the game would’ve come out amazing.
Best parts? The Foremen looking at each other in confusion, the Guardian Hunter snapping, and the narrative.

I wonder she will be playable in sonic frontiers I hope she returns in sonic movie 4 if the the plot takes like sonic advance 2 or sonic prime season 3 or maybe she can be playable in sonic superstars as a dlc because she is a cute character she always has her flying ability and she deserves to appear more Sonic games

Cream's voice strongly reminds me of Darla Dimple from 'Cats Don't Dance', so it really creeps me out.

While most of the cast sound awful, Mike however sounds great!
Its almost as good as his performance in Sonic and Tails R, given the extra menace he's channeling in his voice, unlike in Frontiers where he was more likely to put you to sleep than frighten you. Especially when he's talking about roads to Sonic in a similar style to Doc Emmett, in Back To The Future pt.3, when he's talking about the future while nursing a whisky. But no complaints from me here for Mike.
I agree that Mike is top tier as always, but I honestly think the other cast members sound good. Sonic sounds like a nice middle ground between his Frontiers voice and what he did beforehand. The only actor I'd say is legitimately bad is Rouge, a stepdown from her previous voices

Let's have a moment of silence for all the poor android users that can't play this. The fact that you need an apple phone and a membership to play this is absolutely ridiculous they really put all that hard work into a game that's only for an apple arcade exclusive, this has to go down as one of the worst Sega decisions ever like we get it you need money but people are rarely going to play this if you make it only for one specific device you guys gotta do better.

That's very disappointing to say the least, they have been sidelining him Real Hard recently.
Not a playable part but he’s still manning the machine so they can free Ariem, which is still important, story-wise, although he does get knocked off and then gives it to sonic. However in other games like frontiers there was a noticeable amount of effort put into giving him an ark and in final frontiers he’s just as important as the other playable characters or slightly more so, as he opens the vaults for everyone. On top of that in superstars he’s generally treated the same as the others and even gets his own unique act and then builds everyone spaceships, so I can’t say he’s been sidelined there.
So, eh, they are getting sidelined in this a bit but I can’t really say he’s really been sidelined in the more recent games as he’s generally on par with other characters or slightly more important, unless we count forces in which case yeah definitely for that one, although frontiers goes out of it’s way to undo that game for him.
