He can’t really give consent. It’s an imbalance of power between him and the current and former CEO who are encouraging the joke at his expense. Just because he’s willing to make money off it has no bearing on his ability to consent.

The ONLY thing that needs to match are the endcaps, in sets of two. Literally everything else can be random and it'll look great.

making it 3.x compatible would notably not JUST be for pathfinder, it would let the tile be used a general tracking device, since it would have (4 * 9) + 6 == 40 total pips. The tile is cool as hell, the problem is that in it's current state it has EXACTLY 1 possible use... unlike every other product in the kickstarter.
To turn Jason's words back on him, it IS fudge dice... but in the current state, not what folks are pushing for.
I'll understand if they can't manage it due to production costs on the additional magnets... but it will be a shame if so, and for me turns it from a must-buy into a never-touch.
@@kgoblin5084 true, but with fudge dice there were only handful of buyers, in this case they have a LOT of buyers for the 5e version and well, 3.x & pathfinder are the minority. Would a variant it make it useful for many systems: yes, but production cost wise there might not be enough buyers in those systems to make it viable.

i watched the stream they did right when the kickstarter launched and i think he said multiple people worked on different parts of the video (though i did have it on in the background while working so i'm not 100% sure if i heard correctly lol)
That is by far one of the best, and banging, Kickstarter or promo videos I've ever seen. I don't know if it was JV who did it, but whoever did it deserves a raise. Some real primo technical editing and shooting skills on display here.
My favorite part was the cowbell. I think you need more of it.
The opening montage is so good!! The pacing is so on point. Love the enamel meeple spin-zoom-out shot and the bobbing Samuel L Jackson head. Love how you showed us how a table would look like with these tiles in action too. I can't choose a fave because the product seems like a must-have set. Gotta get 'em all!!

Buying something off a website that is already clearly a scam website seems like a great way to get your credit card info stolen.
I wouldn't be surprised if their bank immediately detects potential fraud and cancels the card.

I can't get over the Party Tray Transition in the Kickstarter Trailer. Its so seamless! I watched it in 0.25 speed and still can't tell if it was a matched shot or clipped (I don't know the technical terms). Really good job on the trailer!

I am amassed how the production values of this episodes have gone up since s1.
According to the strict Kickstarter wording, they expect you to fulfill a campaign before running another one to ensure the obligations are being met.
It's to prevent things like Guild Ball Studios or Sandy Peterson Games, where campaigns look like they can't fulfill without more money.
For the spell tracker tile, if the magnet is that powerfull, I would see an easy swappable stuff would be as 3D printed addons.
- It would still need the tile so no rip-off for Wyrmwood,
- If it's outside of Wyrmwood they dont have a responsability on providing new themes,
- Anyone could make an add-on for a new game system as long as it fits the size of the tiles (just bend the rays of the spell levels to make a spiral and not a starfish) ,
- And nowadays 3D printing companies are popping everywhere so it should be in reach of 99% of peoples interested
The real downfall I could see is, you ordered a beautifull wood tile and now you are covering it in whatever material the printing was done in
Considering buying a tracker tile but am afraid it’ll become used as a communal fidget spinner

For those saying you'd need more ball bearings for the caster tile, you don't need a ball for each slot, you can have one per row of slots and just move it between the divots. So making more slots is the issue, not more ball bearings.

I honestly didn't buy the caster tile the first time because it is so restrictive in it's number of slots. Why not just fill the whole tile with slots?

If I played in person more and was going to buy some hexy time tiles, I would totally want a pathfinder caster tile. I think an interchangeable caster tile would be cool and interesting but you could easily just do separate tiles. As far as system scope, Pathfinder and D&D are going to be the two big ones with spells. 3.5, 5e, pathfinder 1e, and pathfinder 2e would probably be the 4 systems that you would want to cover as I would guess that would cover as least 70% of games that use a system with spell slots similar to 5e.

So I'm a little bit confused with the tracker tile... the number of available slots seems odd. Like it's shown having slots ordered as such 4 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 from 1st level to 9th. Which works just fine for the vast majority of classes, but here's my concern, Warlocks. They're oddballs. And I know you could just fill your slots in other numbers but the whole point of the tracker tile is to keep things in line and organized, right? And warlocks, being the oddballs they are, get up to 4 slots but their slots upgrade in strength. So a tile meant to accommodate all base classes in D&D 5e, no cross-classing or anything like that, I feel should look more like 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1. Which again I really find the current one odd because the tile already has a 4th slot on 5th level even though a warlock is the only one that's going to use that. So why don't 2, 3, and 4 have a 4th slot as well?
TLDR: Love you're work, just being picky as a warlock main ;P

Caster tile: 'There are dozens of us' say the three people not using 5E. For a possible idea to make more systems happen, I think Doug's got the right idea with his blank tile. Laser cut steel tile toppers would be the way I'd explore first. You got your hex donut that holds the balls, and you got an anodized steel glaze to snap on top. And list em as separate items. One item for the Hex, one for a pack of 5e tops, one for a pack of 3.5 tops, etc. And post the DXF files so that people can possibly get a local steel shop to customize them if they want an extra hole or something like that.
RTD: not worth the hassle during the campaign; possible idea to do with the clearance stock at the end of the campaign if you overproduce by a bit.

"play a real system" really?!? Wow, way to alienate any non 5e player. Maybe that was jest, but yikes. Reality is you can't please everyone, I would have just been compassionate and a realist. But the master of sardonic arsehood has spoken. 🤣
Everything I have from Wyrmwood is RTD, the modular tile racks are literally the only thing on the chart of things that does not have this option which means it was a choice. I do not know woods enough and trust your craftsmanship to send me a beautiful piece of wood, so I always go for RTD. I appreciate your opinions on aesthetics but I see zero reason explained here how this would impact logistics. Literally end caps and tile racks are in separate columns, they can already be mismatched and as long as the end caps are the same on RTD I do not understand why they would ignore a clearly vocal (even if small) part of the community that wants this. I love you guys, your transparency, your customer service and your products but when it comes to this all that changes is to push a random wood button like all the others.

Spalted wood is the best wood! I love it and I bought my last piece in Bolivian and I was instantly sad that I didn’t get spalted.
The whiteboard tile shouldn't be laid out the same way as the post-it tile. You would need the top to be completely whiteboard(no wood edges) in order for the dry erase to not just get gunked up in the border. Basically the whole top face of the tile would have to be metal or plastic and ideally as smooth as possible. I do think it would work well like that, just probably wouldn't make a lot of sense for wyrmwood to be making it.

Hey Bobby and Bennett I really think the white board tile can actually work if you do two things. 1. make the white board insert removable and 2. in order to protect the wood use a total boat resin product to make it easier to clean. There is also a clear white board finish that you might want to try as well. Love this project.

While stuff like the Solo and Duo Tiles would be a pain to make without a CNC, I'd love taking a stab at my own Card Tiles or Hex Trays! FCOL, I've even been tinkering with designs for my own Gaming Table inspired by you guys (not modular, tho)

RTD is "roll the dice" - its an option where you can "roll" to get a random wood for any given product. You pay slightly above the price for basic priced woods and can get all sorts. Really good if you don't want a specific look or like to collect all the things. So yeah, that's why they would be randomised
