Answer: it won't start. It will show a black screen and it will say something like, Cannot find system storage or cannot start. Because the OS is on the harddrive. A very small part of it is on a chip on the console that will allow booting in to safe mode to format the hdd or repair it in case the hdd fails and you need to replace it. This video could be 20 seconds long.
I think safe mode is just a fallback if your PS4's OS gets corrupted

When I took out my hard drive on my PS4 it showed me a message saying that the PS4 Is Too Hot please wait a few minutes till the PS4 cools down

No it does nothing. It will ask you to reformat the harddrive because an xbox can't read a ps4s hdd because it has another partition structure and it is encrypted. And visa versa.
@@haveaniceday4585 a pc is able to read the partition table and it lets you format it
@@arceus413 It is able to see the partition. Which means you can delete it or reformat it. But it cant read it. To read it means to see the files on the partition. And you can sertainly not write to it.

If I'm not mistaken,if you boot up an Xbox 360 without a hard drive,it will boot up like normal and still play games like normal.only difference is,is that your save games are gone (unless you used cloud saves) and you can't play games that require a mandatory install but one disc games work like normal.

I think it will turn on but nothing is downloaded or saved (Maybe games are downloaded but wont start/run) or it Will give you a warning message and then let you play games but not save them.
I have done this many times. I work with consoles of any kind as if removing hardware like Hard Drives, CPU’s, Heat Sync, Fan, Disk Trays, GPU’s, Unused Wires, Floppy Disks, and much more.
Hard drives are simple to replace

A couple years ago I bought a brand new ps4 slim from Walmart and when I turned it on I got that error code. So I checked the hard drive bay and turns out there was no hard drive in it. It was a sealed box and everything. I had to go buy a hard drive and manually install the system software.
I took out an Xbox 360 Hard Drive once. It starts up normally!

You can even play games without hard drive on a Xbox 360. And I'm pretty sure you can save games to USB memory stick.

360 never required a hard drive. Pretty sure earlier ones were even sold without a hard drive at all
You're right. Xbox 360 Core didn't include a hard drive and Xbox 360 Arcade had 256MB memory card, which was later updated to 256MB internal and later to 512MB internal. And there was also the 4GB Xbox 360 S.
One thing you've done wrong with your console is putting it in a tight space where it cannot breathe for example the air vents on the side and the back will not have much to breathe you should put it by like a open window where cool air comes out so it makes it lasts more longer I can tell you're constantly whatever he less than a year
More curiously, what the hell happens when you do that with an Xbox One w/o a hard drive, given that the HDD is not removable on that system.

You can redownload The System Software from Sony's website I always put a SSD in my PlayStation when I get a new one

I took the hard drive out of an already on PS4, and the menu works without it!! That said, as soon as you try to do anything not loaded in the ram it crashes.

PS4 Pro with a SATA II hard drive... that's pretty sad, I have a desktop from 2006 with SATA II in it. SATA III was first created in 2009. Also don't stick the hard drive on the carpet, that's a good way to ruin it with static electricity
You know what since the hardrive has the sistem storage what i can do is install the playstation operating sistem on a computer replace the hard drive and then the computer is a playstation
i tried this and by my 5th game i was already like outta space. theres really no way if you play games like FFXHD and kingdom hearts without deleting 1 to play another. i got a 2tb and seing as how im so conservative with my games and dont just buy games like call of duty i would say thats a healthy amount of space
This is madness. The OS is on the HDD it is normal that by removing the HDD the PS4 will not work. Must be numb to do something like that.

My X-Box 360 didn’t have a hard drive and it worked fine, there was internal memory and when that was full, I found the hard drive slot and put a hard drive in

Why does it take so long to get the hard drive out of the PS4? All I have to do to get my hard drive out of my Xbox 360 is take off the little plastic cover that is extremely easy to get off and pull on the little shoe-type thing that says "500 GB" that pokes out of the hard drive. And my Xbox 360 will still go without the hard drive in it.

If i use the Nintendo eshop it wants to use the sd card to install all 3ds applications it will let me put dsi ware on the system memory but i cant get 3ds sofrware on the system so i can run my games without the sd card inserted. the system is a original 3ds so it has 1 gigabyte of internal storage and should be enough to put a couple demo games on.
I play demos to see if i will like a new game before i buy it and to get extra stuff.
