from my research and knowledge, you can find jobs in social work with just a bachelors but the pay is much less than someone with a masters and its much harder to get the jobs just with the bachelors. That's not to say you can't find a job without a masters though. At the end of the day, if you're able to land an internship while in college where you could see yourself working, thats one big step and foot in the door for a post-grad job!

Hi! I took most of the regular classes most high school students take (English/Math/Science/History/PE). My freshman and sophomore year I had more electives and sophomore year I took my first AP class (AP Euro). My Junior and Senior year i would leave during lunch so i was at school for 4 classes and then during lunch I would go home, change, and then go to beauty school. (My school had a program for that). I took a few other AP classes and maybe 1-2 electives. Hope that helps! I didn't have a super traditional high school experience.
we learned about the different types of crimes that are committed, how and why people deviate an the theory behind it, how racial profiling plays a role, the criminal justice system, and about mental disorders and the types of crimes that people can/commit with the certain disorders. That's kind of the gist of it!
In high school? I suck at math too! but when i was in high school i just knew I had to do it. I took Biotechnology instead of chemistry/physics and i really enjoyed it and was good at it so that helped a lot! as for math, i only went up to algebra 2 and sucked at it. I had to work really hard just to pass
depending on your university, your major will decide what math and science classes you'll take. Since i am a sociology major, the math classes I needed was a General math course, statistics for social sciences, qualitative, and quantitative research methods. as for science, the biotechnology class i took in high school took care of the two science class requirements for my university so i took an intro physics class for NON science majors to take care of the lecture requirement for my school
hi! Not really. My university required one college level math class (not related to my major requirement) and as far as my major requirement, I had to take Statistics for Social Sciences, Quantitative Research Methods, and Qualitative Research Methods.
a degree in any field does not guarantee success after college. It's about making your experiences count and learning how to apply your skills in the outside world.
You are right but sociology like anthropology, geology, psychology, etc is a field that requires a graduate school degree in terms of real-life work. Does this mean that a four-year degree in sociology does not lead to employment? No, that is not what I mean. If your objective is to apply the concepts of sociology, the meaning of sociology in life after college, then an M.A. is needed. I have a B.A. in Sociology (Lehman College, 1994). Since 1994, I have done tons of work, including military time in the Navy, but nothing related to sociology. I also did sub teaching work and math tutoring for many years, which again is unrelated to sociology. I am not trying to downgrade your love and passion for the field. I am just being honest with you with respect to sociology and other similar fields of study that require more than a B.A. degree in terms of work in real-life.

from my research and knowledge, you can find jobs in social work with just a bachelors but the pay is much less than someone with a masters and its much harder to get the jobs just with the bachelors. That's not to say you can't find a job without a masters though. At the end of the day, if you're able to land an internship while in college where you could see yourself working, thats one big step and foot in the door for a post-grad job!
Hey luv
Great video
Do you mind posting about the stats and research classes ??
I talk a little more about them in my part 2 video but if you have any more questions about the courses, feel free to DM on instagram :) lovely_daissy
I am more than happy to do a video call or answer any questions you have!
In uni did you do any social experiments.
I haven't taken any classes yet that required me to do social experiments but many students do research using social experiments! So far i've just collected data from a survey we conducted!
Hey which subjects did u choose in high school??
Thank you so much!!
What was taught in criminology?
we learned about the different types of crimes that are committed, how and why people deviate an the theory behind it, how racial profiling plays a role, the criminal justice system, and about mental disorders and the types of crimes that people can/commit with the certain disorders. That's kind of the gist of it!
May I ask if a degree in sociology can land me into jobs in the banking/ HR sector? Thanks a lot!
Yes a degree in sociology will definitely land you a job in the HR sector, just need experience ofc
What job are you planning to get with that degree?
I'm actually in the process of getting ready to apply to law school! I want to be an attorney and am interested in criminal law!
Daisy Michelle How did you get past the math and sciences? Cause like Algebra 3 and Calculus must suck
Oh so you had it all in the bag xD I was thinking of doing sociology after going into the marines
This was so helpful thank you!
Does sociology require a lot of math?
hi! Not really. My university required one college level math class (not related to my major requirement) and as far as my major requirement, I had to take Statistics for Social Sciences, Quantitative Research Methods, and Qualitative Research Methods.
@@daisymichellecas thank you very much 💕
Thank you so much !!🌸🌸
i love sociology
Is sociology hard.
Not really! It a lot of reading, writing, and discussing. Its a heavy course load but I wouldn't say its hard.

I am graduated in sociology
Munawar Gondal what are you doing as a job? Did you get your masters degree
A B.A. in Sociology does not lead to success after college.
a degree in any field does not guarantee success after college.
I chose this major cuz I'm a woman, fat, and lazy.
Why you speak like that
Thank you so much!
