  • George Azar is a Southwest Detroit native - born to Palestinian parents - who upon moving back to the Motor City after working in fine dining restaurants around the country noticed a serious underrepresentation of his favorite cuisine. So Flowers of Vietnam was born.
    Eater is the one-stop-shop for food and restaurant obsessives across the country. With features, explainers, animations, recipes, and more - it’s the most indulgent food content around. So get hungry.

    When I saw Palestinian Master Chef I was thinking I was about to see some food of the region, but it's Vietnamese. So there is zero reason to mention he's Palestinian, other than the fact you wanted people to click, him being Palestinian has nothing to do with what he's cooking. And 'helping unite Detroit' ? Kinda invoking the Palestinian - Israeli crisis and again it has nothing to do with this video.

    • @monkeyinfernostudios
      @monkeyinfernostudios 7 лет назад +26

      shmaveyea To me you seem to be the only one invoking the Palestinian-Israeli crisis. I believe there is a significance in a non-Vietnamese cook making Vietnamese food, and also significant that it is another minority in the US making it. It is sad to me that he can't be Palestinian and seek unity without someone feeling there is some sort of ulterior motive. But I guess being a person of color in America is synonymous with being political to many people.
