as a bastion main its because all you have to practice aim wise is tracking since there is no recoil or damage fall off just follow your targets and you will do damage but bastionmain's tracking is insanely good
I've been playing bastion more and more as of recently and I love this edition to the series. Bastionmain is a fucking monster in normal comps
I think the single fighter needs less or zero re-spawn time to make it more balanced. The first five-player team crew to die will mostly reaches point soon after the last teammate dies.

@@MarochiYT yea. Grenade is cool and moving while in sentry at the cost of some damage is awsome. But besides grenade bastion has almost no movement and has a similar issue to zen where he has to kill in order to stay alive. Except unlike zen he doesn't even have a regen to stay alive with.

I think he should up the capture time even if it ups the capture time for both teams, the bronzes already cap in one kill anyway
but it ramps up contesting also. often they need to get off point to grab a healthpack , but if it's capping faster they can't even come back to contest. I get what you mean, but contesting can often help as well. it's a tough balance to figure out.
Honestly I'd love to see some of these with proportionally reduced cooldowns as well. Like at 2x the stats, cooldowns are at 50%, 3x is 33%, etc. The one person only has 1/5th the cooldowns of a normal team so increasing the speed on those would be more balancing imo.
An idea you could do for capture time is add two, one health teammates. A Kiriko for example, so they can tp to him to help or get off the point. Just enable tp and make it have no cooldown

It means Bronze on their MAIN ROLE and they have reached a 50/50 winrae in comp, they plataeu'd at that rank.
fyi: jay claimed players were plat, and they were GM dps, playing plat healers, or Diamond healers, playing plat dps(the fake plat players won against GMs)...jay doesn't know that a GM on a main role IS NOT A BRONZE in any ROLE. they have GM awareness, GM knowledge, GM reactions, GM comms...they are not broze even on a role they never play.
Heres a few people you should try to get for this:

Eskay or Frogger on Lucio.
ML7 on Kiriko or Bap.
Samito on Echo.
Kephrii or Kenzo on Widow.
Emongg on Dva or Sigma.

Idk if anyone cares, but [13:09]
Deflect and other mitigation type abilities turns all projectiles into your projectiles. Therefore if Genji has 1x damage all his deflections will be 1x, even if the enemy that shot them was higher. He is correct that the damage can still amplify but only after the projectile becomes yours.

you can up the capture time by using the workshop and set the capture speed depending of the attacking team
edit: nvm after 2 years they said they would it's still not implemented
I think if you up the capture time it wont matter to much. Once the top 500 is dead it is pretty much a guaranteed cap for the bronze players. you can try and see how it works out
If you want to increase cap speed, you could give GM three bot teammates that appear at the back of the point (and maybe raised to they can't easily be used as cover) when standing in it's area. There might be a certain distance below the point where they count as contesting it, as well.

for the capture time, I'm sure someone could figure it out with a workshop game. Like placing 2 dummy players where the GM is so when they go point they have 3 players on point or something

you should do 1 top 500 vs 5 top 500 but the one has like 10x stats lol
What u could do Jay for the cap time is add the combination so there's a person connected to the gm that speeds up the time but the person connected to time isn't gonna play obv
I'd like to see one top 500 with 2.5 or 3 stats against two top 500s. You'd see the teamwork come out

Being a bastion main myself with couple hundred hours bastion is a monster if you have a good team or in this case two times the stats haha

Tbh I think it would still be fair to make the point capture speed higher for both teams since the team of 5 always fully cap the point as soon as they manage to kill the solo GM
The bronzes in these videos should be going dva junkrat tracer/sombra zen and kiriko if you think about it

For bastion specifically he doesn't need damage so much as TONS of health and shorter cooldowns. Would be cool to see 5x health but 1x damage and 50% cd or something similar.

All he had to do was switch out of turret to pick everybody off.

as an avid custom game enjoyer the genji question is something i know too much about. the damage he reflects depends on the way his enemies damage is calculated. an external damage buff also buffs reflect, a natural increase (within customs rules for example) is not reflected. thats what ive found in my time playing at least.
Instead of adjusting capture time, could you adjust respawn timers for the 5 player team?
It seems like the same problem as not being able to up the capture time. I doubt he can change respawn time without it effecting the Top500 too

If you drop a cup of water onto the ground, it makes a splash. Drop a whole pot of water on the ground and the splash is so much bigger.
Honestly would be more fair if cooldowns were also multiplied. In this case, turret form would come off cooldown 2x faster.
on the capture time problem. it can be solved with an agreement: if the solo player gets 1 or 2 tics then the bronzes have to back out and basically lose the point.

I like how he uses his little bomb. I mean I like playing bastion since OW1 and he always felt a lack of mobility. I guess the even that little bonus movement potential is giving a lot more advantage rather then an additional damage.

I think you should try trying to balance the hero as a tank/dps/healer. So give them a passive regen if possible.

Im in GM and have never even seen or thought of throwing pulse onto a health pac. That's smart af, bro has great game sense, but is probably just lacking in mechanics

Jay3, the Sigma shouldn't grasp the Bastion ult because you can only catch one projectile realistically with Sigma's low movement speed, so you'll end up taking the full splash damage of the second two, guaranteeing that you die

Characters like bastion with poor mobility and utility struggle way more in these.
His grenade jump isnt nearly consistent enough, you want a character that can run away to health packs and then get back to point really easily and quickly, or a character with a burst healing/defensive ability
Of course with the right stat multiplier you can do this challenge with any character though
Exactly this the less mobility the got the worse they do
Problem is tank size hitbox without survivability.

I would prefer if he was changed to a tank or lower dmg to bring back self repair or reduce hitbox.

I think they could've won with zarya, bastion, kiriko, baptiste, soldier or ashe. Bastion would be the easiest character to deal 825 damage with ashe or soldier helping him. He would have cleanse, immo, and zarya shield to protect him. As long as he doesnt peek by himself and without form there is no way this guy could've won, maybe with higher stats. Wish i was in the bronze team if we could do it or not.
i think you can make capture time shorter because bronze team have 5 player, so they capture it really fast anyway. Most of the time the only way they capture is when Top 500 dead, so he can't stop bronze team anyway
