This is philippine philharmonic orchestra. Originally from the philippines. Bago tayo mag request ng mga classical compositions from other countries.
I’m 22 and i mostly like listening to rap or pop music, but this piece is special to me. My grandfather used to play this with his old guitar, he tried teaching me how to play it but i never got to seriously learn it, i had my time doing all other useless stuffs, which is something i regret so much cos he can’t play no more and it’s too late for me to learn his own chords. I tried looking in youtube but it’s just doesn’t sound like his. Now i got nothing left but to just listen to this song over and over
@@karlivanjamescaras702 I agree with you :) I think Oboe yung solo part and most of the time (not all the time) oboe yung may solo kesa sa clarinet hihi :D
sana pinopromote ng gov. natin yung ganitong genre or yung mga classical para di kami masyado op mga kabataang ganito ormga katulad nila mozart, tchaikovsky, beethoven, etc
thumbs up! Naway mabigyan pa ng pansin ng ating gobyerno ang kanilang budget to give them a living out from music as well as budget for continues training.
Music don't choose age when it comes to genre..... I started to love and appreciate classical music since I was 15 years old.... And thinking I am born in a wrong era.. 😅 now I'm 16 still listening.....
First time for me to hear this song in an amazing arrangement as this. So kudos to the brilliant arranger, his orchestration and harmonies send me back in time to the 50s and 60s Era. Also the orchestra performed so wonderfully this song, I'm impressed by their handling of the nuances and balance between solos and tutti. Just wonderful I would say. The only setback in this video though, is the noticeable skips (two of them, of about a second each) reminiscent of an old vinyl "sirang plaka" lols, reminds me also of the APO Hiking Society's pun on old vinyls 🙂
Sad to miss this event but very glad to hear a snippet of their wonderful performance. Bravo! They dont have a full sound because they dont have the instruments that play the big full effect - YET. And the best seat to fully enjoy an orchestra in the middle of the orchestra not front row.
Pinakikinggan ko palang to kinikilig nako😆 grabe ang ganda, para kong prinsesa/ bride / main character na entrance felt na felt ko yung ganda sarap sa ears
How nice you were allowed to take video. Our group performed there on May 28, 2016 and they allowed NO ONE to take video or stills. In fact, the ushers came around to all the audience and told everyone, including those in the boxes, to put away their cameras. Our group had worked four years to get there.
Actually it was not allowed. I filmed it secretly. it was the last song for the night so the ushers had a hard time stopping the many others who were also filming around me.
One of my best song for wedding…either i was being surprised to have it rendered…always ready for wedding y free of charge…y other English pieces…that was in the 70’s…; once our Governor who was a godfather asked me if I want to join the Bagong Kampeon…Governor Efren Pascual, the uncle of Miss Evangeline Pascual of Orange Bataan…btw Dominique Salestiano’s wife was fr Orani
It was so wonderful and awesome.. one could feel the grace and power of a magnificent classical deliverance so magical and full of life at its fullest!
Superb rendition! Thanks for sharing. We would have loved to attend this concert, unfortunately, too many commitments and less time :( Hopefully, our brother Mr. Mauro Ariel Yonzon goes with this group sometime, soon! (y) Congrats to our YOUNGEST Brother!
Some of the foreigner who watch in Carnegie, there is no big full effect. What I love is the new arrangement of this song. I hope, London Symphony Orchestra can play this song too.
Wowie Cruz i was actually hiding my phone and my arm got tired so there is a small missing part to the song. There was an usher going around to stop audience members from filming....
Sana may remake. Timing seemed - off. I don't know kung dahil lang ba sa low quality recording or kulang talaga sila.. That piece deserves a "grand" orchestra. Yung piece ang nagdala...
Actually I was not permitted to take the video at Carnegie Hall but since we were in a hall full of Filipinos, some did take videos so I did the same -only my phone/ camera which was slightly hidden in my bag. So that is why the sound is not as full as it should be. But it was the last song of the night…. Glad you enjoyed the video clip.
This orchestra did not have a "full" sound like many other orchestras I've heard. Plus their playing is not nuanced, unlike the great orchestras I've heard before. They are not yet ready for the international stage. But the two soloists were very good - I was there that night on front row.
I've reported this as a hate message, not on your perfectly credible bit of acid about the orchestra but about your tasteles, but beyond that hateful, anonym.
Would you rather your kid have feminism or cancer? Maybe I would believe you, since you watched it live but having said that we have our own ears to say that they are good or not enough is a fair point. And I should say that they are good. Moreover, this song should not be "full sound" as you called it but a solemn one. Give me your credentials and evidences of it to legitimize your comment to them not being ready for international stage.
Marcus Jacob Rances - actually their repertoire was entirely classical. This was the last song since this was the first time they are performing on the main stage of Carnegie Hall. Technically i was not even allowed to record but there were a few who were doing it so I followed suit with my camera phone positioned discreetly. So what u could not see was a wonderful display of classical music and a finale of one Filipino song.
Also, Philippine music is great, and this piece is considered as a Filipino classic. In my opinion, the "jologs" are the typical modern-sounding pop music. This piece is absolutely a masterpiece and a product of Filipino ingenuity and nationalism. If you don't want this type of music, why bother to watch it? So you basically came here to bash your own country. What a shame...
This was an encore. I was there when they performed a whole Classical repertoire. Their featured soloist was Cecile Licad for Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #3.

Never imagined this song would sound magnificent in an orchestra. Truly, Filipino songs are amazing.

E promote ang Philippine Orchestra
That clarinet was so sweet. The Philippines is oceans away. Miss my home country.

just WOW! Feeling proud to be a Filipino! Please share some more of their excellent performances at Carnegie Hall.
Para akong nanonood ng classical love story movie and this is the musical score. Beautiful!
This song is composed by the late National Artisy Ernani Cuenco. An epitome of Filipino Music ❤
Music is like heaven

I hope the Philippine Philharmonic Opera would play some Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky songs in the future.
Sadly, this is the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra

What song is this, exactly? Love the tune; looking for a recording.
Gaano Ko Ikaw Ka Mahal
a gentle correction: the proper spelling is "Kamahal" (one word).

Wowie. I sure did. I got tired of holding the phone and accidentally clipped it by a little bit. Sorry.
kundimang at its best...
PPO is better off playing Bethoveen's 9th Symphony in D minor. It would herald our arrival in classical music.
