If anything, every Chi-fi brand IEM should be cracked open and inspected for possible dysfunctional drivers and parts. All these companies push out so many products every month I highly suspect they all come from the same manufacturer.
No that's just a dumb stereotype. There are plenty of Chinese IEM companies that, do not operate under the same business model of knocking out bargain bucket IEMS with as many drivers as possible in them, that sound trerrible. It's a pretty sure thing that any IEM that sound really good, relative to it's competition are from a company that care about there products and need not be subject and painted the same as KZ.
I'm from Brazil and one of our best reviewers (Mind the Heaphone channel) said something interesting: he was pretty disappointed at KZ, but not necessarily surprised. In recent years, their approach has been pushing out into the market one iem after another without proper development time... Here's our new model with a zillion BA's and stuff... and all sounding pretty much the same. They must suffer very serious consequences for this huge bullshit. I hope this information reaches as many people as possible.
I'm at a point where I never buy anything electronic from a Chinese company. Not if the brand is Chinese and not even if it's (supposedly) another brand shipped from China. It's like sending money to an african prince or giving your passwords to the nice Indian man on the telephone. Nothing good shall come of this unless you've won the lottery.

Moondrop and Soundcore are Chinese brands and are of very good quality. The problem here is merely about KZ. If I might add... Every country has its good and bad side. Their political regime is authoritarian (not a place I would like to live), but on the other hand the people are disciplined and hard working (there is merit in the fact they are a big economy today)... Tough subject this one and I am not an expert... If you talk to an American or a Brazilian who has lived in China and experienced their culture with more depth, they will be able to tell you positive, wonderful traits and features about it, but also they will name a lot of things they probably hate (you can find RUclips channels on that). Earth is halfway between chaos and paradise and things are the way they are and not (yet) the way we would like them to be. It is up to us to make this a better place.

Meanwhile, your Samsung (mostly made in China anyway) is locked down and never really "your" phone. BTW nowadays they "assemble" the phone locally to avoid the "made in China" label, which can mean as little as putting on a screen protector and assembling the box the phone comes in, mostly for tax reasons.

I have the KZ-ZST 10 pro and love them. I use them for IEMs in live music. Have two sets plus the CCA model which is the same thing. All sound the same quality wise. I'm a bass player and my bass sounds excellent with them as do all the other instruments. I've heard that a few of their models are garbage by watching shoot out videos so I stay away from them. The Pro models are excellent though.
I bought KZ ZST X that I've been using all the time for 2 years since I'm a music producer, and there's some weird glue gooey thing coming out of the input socket which kinda disappoints me giving them trust and doubt which I feel pretty frustrated not knowing if my mixing or designing sound quality. I would say yes to leaving these KZs products unless they did legitimately a better quality.
Instead of being very agressive toward them you should may be ask them to work with them to verify their products and give them some advice. I've bought some of their products which are not multi-drivers (HD9 & CCA CA4) and I can tell with confidence that all the earphones I've bought in the past never sounded so good. Some SONY, Philips, JVC, etc That I've bought for 20€ on average in a shop were far worse. The KZ HD9 cost was 3€ and literally killed in term of sound quality my previous earphones/IEM from the big brands I've quoted. The CCA CA4 cost was 11€ and also killed the big brands earphones without any doubt possible. I know you are discussing about fake marketing and I agree this is really disappointing. However you should try to calm your nerves and may be try to take contact with them and ask them to become an official tester for them. If they refuse it is more than suspect and if they agree they will have to be fair and it's a win win situation.
Mate the Sony MDR-EX15 for 8.99$ has better tuning than almost everything from KZ besides the KZ CRN and the CCA CRA which is essentially a copy of it tuning wise. Now not saying that everything else currently in shops is far better because it's not, just saying that KZ is generally not impressive either to be honest.
Well, I'm not ever going to be ordering KZ products. I was considering the ZEX Pro/CRN a few months ago but went with the BLON BL-03 instead. Really glad that I did. Not sure if CCA hybrids suffer from the same problem, as they're a sister company to KZ. I do have the CCA CRA, but that's a single DD.
@@PeterMMMMM The CCA CRA is more aggressively V-shaped in its frequency response than the BL-03. The sub bass is boosted higher, and the treble is also higher, which can be a problem if you're treble sensitive. I find that the CRA has a little more detail than the BL-03, but the BL-03 timbre is more natural and makes it nicer to listen to on longer sessions. Both are great units, though. I will say that the fit on the CRA is so much better, as are the included cable and tips.
Well you actually did yourself a disservice.. Because the Zex pro is actually better than the Blon. Coming from someone who has used both As bottom of the line consumers, we shouldn't really bother about these if: They sound good for the money ( the zex pro actually one of the better sub 50 dollar iems.) The blons are good.. But the zex pro is definitely better tuned. And just about 8-9 dollars more expensive.

I have kz zsn pro (1DD + 1BA) that the BA is unplugged from the cable, but the iem still working fine, idk the BA is producing sound or not but for me now only buying their 1DD iem.
I have two sets of KZ ZS10’s and one KZ ZAX set and they all sound great. They equal my Old Shure Se535’s and Ultimate Ears triple fi 10’s, imo. Has anyone proved that it’s all KZ’s iem lines that are misleading customers?
The zs10 has all drivers working, incidentally. You'd have to work your way backwards from the crinacle kz. Somewhere in between they went fk it. They sound great, but they waste half the money. The crin kz could be $15 instead of $30, but be called 1dd and sound the same
Same as me. I got both. I love the ZAX. If my ears don´t lie, they have a such a detailed sound that would be impossible to reproduce just with a DD. I think that this guy received a defective unit and went hysterical.
Crap. Ordered KZ AST 24BA from Alibaba and it's on its way before learning about this fiasco from your channel. Hope I can return it for a full refund as definitely don't want to support this company. So much other competition that deserves my money.

Thanks for saving me my money for hopefully something real. You deserve a medal. Even the fact you cannot make out any type of crossover inside the units tells it all, gooey stuff or glued up canals aside. It's right out fraud. Maybe jerryrigeverything would be interested to tear apart some of the higher priced iems.
I purchased 2 of the AZ09 bluetooth adapters and they will not stay connected. I purchased them directly from KZ, I contacted them and they directed me to reset them (which I had already done with no improvement at all) I requested replacements or a refund and NEVER received a response. KZ knows there is an issue with the AZ09 but don't acknowledge it, this seems to be standard practice for them. I will not purchase any more KZ products. Oh forgot to mention I also purchased the DQ6, DQ6S, and ZEX Pro... yeah I got duped multiple times.

I actually have something different to say. Does this make the Zex Pro worse sounding? No. The Zex Pro is still one of the better sounding iems for the price bracket. As pure customers , we just ought to compare a product with similarly priced products elsewhere. If they're good, I don't care what KZ is lying about. And the Zex pro is actually really good. For the said price, I can't think of anything that is significantly better than it. So yes we ought to be cautious.. But I really don't believe in this 'boycott kz ' campaign going on . I've bought the zsn pro x, the Zex pro from them, apart from other Tin hifi and Moondrop products. I got exactly what I wanted for my money if not more. So I don't care what's going on inside the shell!
I have and enjoy several KZ earphones. A scammy headphone can sound good, that's not the point here; it's that we should not allow companies to get away with false marketing / bait and switch tactics. And face it - if KZ dissolved tomorrow (they certainly won't be going away, I'm sure) - there's dozens of other Chi-Fi brands that make just as good or better budget offerings that would will their space immediately

I think most people are just angry because they didn't notice the difference. The headphones didn't get worse all of a sudden just because you've found out they're not as they are described. If they were worth the money, they're still worth the money. False advertising, sure, but once you got them and liked them it's kind of irrelevant, isn't it? Maybe resale value dropped and that's the issue?
Yes exactly. Same views here. KZ continues to make good sounding iem. Given the prices they offer, disregard what drivers they use, do many mich more expensive IEM sound better than the huge price differences? No doubt, these KZ IEM has gotten so much good reviews from the pros. It is emotional indeed for the truth, but in the end, you paid for more than what it should worth for. They still sound pretty darn good for the price. And not all KZ were claimed "fake" actually

I was looking for an inexpensive set of wired earbuds for casual listening,I checked the KZ's,but went with the Sony MDXRB55AP instead for $25.Im glad I did
I think KZs are still pretty good, something like ZSN Pro X. It has a single driver, sound quality is really good for the price, removable cables, all that jazz.
Glad I'm still using my cheap ZSN Pro that use "1DD 1BA". I don't know if the BA even working or not. From now on I only trust KZ with one driver and only willing to purchase the cheap one
You know it is because the ZSN and the ZSN Pro are strill part of the "tunning too harsh" era. The ZS10 pro was the best thing they could output, that's what, everything else is bullshit.

last week i used my ZSN Pro for a dj show but after the show i find that i just take high frequencies from the left side so it shows that the BA working and the DD is gone. so at least in the ZSN Pro there isnt any problem

My Zs10 started leaking this very Adhesive like thing and Gradually the DD just died over a week. I returned the product and got it replaced

I got KZ ZS10 Pro. They are fantastic IEMs. Sound better than S12 planars at lower volume. Use them on iPhone 12, iPad 11 Pro and Windows laptop.

I purchased 2 of the AZ09 bluetooth adapters and they will not stay connected. I purchased them directly from KZ, I contacted them and they directed me to reset them (which I had already done with no improvement at all) I requested replacements or a refund and NEVER received a response. KZ knows there is an issue with the AZ09 but don't acknowledge it, this seems to be standard practice for them. I will not purchase any more KZ products. Oh forgot to mention I also purchased the DQ6, DQ6S, and ZEX Pro... yeah I got duped multiple times.

These videos that are currently showing, they should show the headphones in the sealed packaging, and then open it, all this without cutting video, test it,of the sound that comes out one by one all connected, because it may have some protection, which when turning off one or the other, will not work.
Otherwise, they will not be credible, that is, we need concrete evidence and not believe in any video.

I have and enjoy several KZ earphones. A scammy headphone can sound good, that's not the point here; it's that we should not allow companies to get away with false marketing / bait and switch tactics. And face it - if KZ dissolved tomorrow (they certainly won't be going away, I'm sure) - there's dozens of other Chi-Fi brands that make just as good or better budget offerings that would will their space immediately

I think most people are just angry because they didn't notice the difference. The headphones didn't get worse all of a sudden just because you've found out they're not as they are described. If they were worth the money, they're still worth the money. False advertising, sure, but once you got them and liked them it's kind of irrelevant, isn't it? Maybe resale value dropped and that's the issue?
Yes exactly. Same views here. KZ continues to make good sounding iem. Given the prices they offer, disregard what drivers they use, do many mich more expensive IEM sound better than the huge price differences? No doubt, these KZ IEM has gotten so much good reviews from the pros. It is emotional indeed for the truth, but in the end, you paid for more than what it should worth for. They still sound pretty darn good for the price. And not all KZ were claimed "fake" actually

I was looking for an inexpensive set of wired earbuds for casual listening,I checked the KZ's,but went with the Sony MDXRB55AP instead for $25.Im glad I did
I think KZs are still pretty good, something like ZSN Pro X. It has a single driver, sound quality is really good for the price, removable cables, all that jazz.

Glad I'm still using my cheap ZSN Pro that use "1DD 1BA". I don't know if the BA even working or not. From now on I only trust KZ with one driver and only willing to purchase the cheap one
You know it is because the ZSN and the ZSN Pro are strill part of the "tunning too harsh" era. The ZS10 pro was the best thing they could output, that's what, everything else is bullshit.

last week i used my ZSN Pro for a dj show but after the show i find that i just take high frequencies from the left side so it shows that the BA working and the DD is gone. so at least in the ZSN Pro there isnt any problem

Great review by ya, AJ Audio..i got into iems in march a 2022 after a tws bender..wanted to try wired iems..first vids i saw were bout the blon bl03 with hbb and other reviewers...as time went on saw chifi/ akros do a video on the whizzer bs1 openback iem..I purchased em, went thru my eartips and fitting drill, just like i did with all my tws earbuds..liked the whizzer bs1, now i wanted another one...bout that time, akros rekeased the video bout kz, dupping people , bout 2 of the drivers did not work...whatta entrance to go down the rabbit hole im in..since then/ cca cra/ tinhifi 3 plus, couple of master& dynamics me 01/ 03/ 05..got all.3 for less then 20 bucks..now, i had no clue who jeff fries was until this morning, he released a video on the tangzu and kiwi ears candanza..liked his review on them, he comes hid old video, which ive never seem until today..I only errd of jeff thru akros kz debackle video and another guy he mentioned...you are dead right on this issue, even though i own a cca product, its a single dynamic cca cra..luv the sound of all my iems...the thing i didnt understand is why people didnt hold crin or hbb liable, beins there supposed to know the sound of a single driver iem/ dual driver iem/ tribrid etc..even though im new to iems, i also purchased a revonext rx6, dual drivers, and wen i would listen to thoze, i use to tell people, i ave dual drivers that work and sound great , different sound then a single driver....so??
