I am a proud owner of 2005 H2 Hummer I have had it 9 half yrs now"my hummer is in A + I love this Hummer, I clean ever" iv beenything on it " u can eat of the motor too,
I was thrilled to see how excited you were about driving the H2 I purchased my H2 in 2011 it is a 2003 it now has 169000 Mi on it and it's always been my daily driver. It is starting to have some issues oil leaks and I've been quite upset with not knowing what to do about it I would love to get it fixed I don't want to get rid of it I've talked to some mechanics that's looked at it and says that GMC is not making some parts and I know the blower for the heater is a recall item that I can't get it is not available so we've had to use a toggle switch to make it work and I'm just wondering if I'm going to have a problem with other things that GMC is not providing that I may run into
By the way the reason why I'm upset my husband says that we should sell it get rid of it and get something newer but I truly truly love this vehicle I've never owned one like it before it has been reliable very reliable it's towed every big ass boat that we've ever owned down the highway with ease and it's been a fabulous automobile
Add note for those people that say gas guzzler you're not going to be able to pull what we pull behind our Hummer without not using some gas. I've owned a Dodge Ram 150 truck and it takes up just as much gas to drive then this Hummer and it's more reliable all can be haters that you want to be does not change the way that I feel about my H2
Great American Vehicle! May want to look into an enthusiast club. Someone will eventually make the parts that GM discontinues. Furthermore, I believe the drivetrain is common to many GM models. You should be able to get the parts needed to keep the engine running.
Thanks for your review, great video.I have an '09 H2 with heated steering wheel & electricly adjustable, 2nd row captains chairs ...one of the last H2's made... I just put in a new l9h motor w/Magnuson supercharger & rebuilt stage 3 tranny with billet tq conv, output shaft, hi-perf borg-warner clutches, rebuilt my xfer case, driveshafts, 4.88 gears fron & rear diff, 37x13.50x22 Nitto Recon's, new front axels from RCV in PA, all Kryptonite front suspension, the motor has high performance fuel injectors all new components like water pump, radiator, alternator etc everything was replaced that you can think of brand new my truck is a beast now and is waaay fun to drive
I've always found it odd that the H2/H3 styling is so controversial, when everyone loves the looks of the Wrangler unlimited, Ford Bronco, Toyota FJ... all of which look very similar. I personally think the H2's look awesome.
I have owned a 2003 H2 for about 9 years now and despite a few NORMAL wear and tear issues with it I absolutely love it. It is a great riding vehicle which no one expects. They see it and other modified H2's and people think your bouncing down the road. What people do NOT know is they built the Hummer plant directly beside another plant that built the Cadillac Escalade . Also very few people know that the Hummers suspension was sooo Good that the next year Cadillac Stole the undercarriage of the Hummer H2 and slapped it underneath the Escalade so does anyone think and Escalade ride stinks? NOT !!! . We have two walk in service body work trucks that get around 5 miles per gallon so on the weekend when I get in my Hummer to drive it and its gets 11 mpg I feel great because I am doubling my gas milage so like everything in life its all in how you look at things. My Hummer is all stock except for swapping out the running lights and headlamps with LED replacements. I just turn a 105k miles and honestly it still excites me when I climb up in the cab and am going to drive it and I am almost 60 years old and very few things still get me excited. Yes I would love to have that Brand New Hummer EV but used prices on this new version start typically at a $175k and go over $210k so if you can find a great shaped used one for $20 to $25k that will leave you a $190 thousand dollars left over for fuel !!! Anybody thought of it that way?? lol. Plus nothing like the rumble of a USA made V-8 engine , UGH !! I LOVE MY HUMMER H2, You will too if you take that leap of faith and get one. I hope to one day own an H2 SUT . Getting harder to find and more expensive than the SUV.
Love my 08 H2 i got 37” Toyo MTs and get 12-14mpg my 2016 chevy 1500 with the 5.3 3” lift and 34” mts only got 14-16 id say if you left a truck and put oversized mud tires on it MPG obviously dont matter much to you lol Oh and i drive it daily at about 100 miles a day 210k original engine transmission was just rebuilt 10k ago ill take it. If you like them bug one they are disappearing so fast wish i could grab up another one
Technically correct. It's a half ton vehicle. But many use the term "heavy duty" under a varied definition to mean something kin to "well built" or "tough" or "time tested", etc.
@@JoHn-if6wy it used a Chevy Suburban 2500 front body and Silverado rear. The doors don't move or gap, nor does the glass cracked when offloading. It is advised to replace front tie rods with heavy duty version so they don't get bent or break when off pavement. The engine is low stress a is resilient like a mule. Just change the oil and air filter. The trans is can over heat and be a weak spot if highway towing. So a better cooler is cheap insurance.
@@hopfammedia Hence the term "light duty". I get it, the H2 does look like a heavy duty but its not. People just need to realize it. If you want heavy duty trucks start by looking at sierra 2500 and upwards. The hummer h2 couldnt even compete to the first series of every dealership back its in days too. Exp: sierra 1500, ford f150, ram 1500. It kinda of fails in every category too when comparing other vehicules. Good off roading but not great. Its a cute little square box and it keeps going up in up value after its been out of production. So good for you guys.
We're not sure! This was a vehicle that was on our retail lot and was sold in 2020, however after doing some quick research it does look like hour meters are common on H2's. Hope this helps!
I've got an '03 this color and another one in black. I deleted the airbags in the black one. Coil springs are always up. Downsides: fitting in garage (I manage), and yes plastic doors aren't as good as they could be, rattles might drive you nuts. Seeing an H2 with 22 plus inch rims makes me cringe. Upside: never get lost in a parking lot. Go anywhere. Ford two feet of water. Like nothing else on the road. Probably entering collector status now due to age and limited production supply. New replacement is EV and way too expensive.
I can see just fine out of it. In fact, the low window design keeps the sun out which is great. 320 hp is plenty, they're actually less top heavy because the HUMMER design keeps the body low while also having 35" tires (or even 37") Price, well if everyone could afford one it probably wouldn't be that good.
I love my boys. I own 2 of them and everyday I look at them the more I want them, looking to buy alpha 1 soon
That's wonderful! Thank you for watching and commenting!
youtube needs more high IQ ride reviews like this
I just bought an 05 with 175k miles and it really drives nice. I was so surprised. I love it so far.
That's great @VinnieMelo! Thanks for posting.
thank you
a sensible review
without all the slapstick comedy antics & senseless slander
Thank you @III! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your delivery. Super chill and easy to listen to. You taught me a lot about this vehicle and informed my decision making. Subscribed!

I've been told many times ,stop cleaning it or" working on it,it's my babe
Looks awesome! It’s definitely a great vehicle!
This is the best video to understand the hummer
Thank you for your vote of confidence, we appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@hopfammedia your very much welcome I subscribed and liked
Love my 2007, minor upkeep along the way, fully recommend it, if you can find one!

How many engine hours does your hummer have?
@@buddyrebel_Garcia I have no idea, sold it recently with about 55k miles on it. Enjoyed it while I had it!
I prefer a diesel Hummer H2 over the new EV shitbox ! Plus I would choose a H2 over a range rover anytime ! Appreciate Hummers from India !🇮🇳
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Indiana you mean lol
This video had me SO HYPED. Now I want it. 😂
So COOL! Great review, guys! 😎👍

Ours is an 05 same color. Just passed 452K miles on this beast. Daily driver.
That's great! Thanks for watching!
Picking mine up tomorrow morning! Burnt orange metallic. I’ll let you know when I post a video! Lots of aftermarket gear already done
Sounds Great !
When they first came out with those i haded it. Then I drove one about 2 miles. And I fell in love. That’s the only thing I drive now.
That's awesome! They are super sharp rides. Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love my H2!!!
good to see a review thats not all negative, seems most of them doesnt like it
Thanks for the encouragement, glad you enjoyed it!
Mine is still running like a champ💪🏽
If you have the opportunity to buy one go get it!

I am seriously thinking about buying a H2..
They are awesome rides! They can be hard to find, but when you've located a good one, they're well worth the search!
Due for another 4WD . Just doing my homework. Thanks for your opinion.

Research is definitely the way to go! Thanks for watching and commenting! Best wishes to you in your search!
These held up well for being almost two decades old. They are heavy duty and owners used them as such.
We agree! Thanks for watching!
The H2 has a towing capacity of 6600lbs and a payload capacity of 2000lbs.
They are not heavy duty trucks. They are light duty trucks.

I LOVE IT

What are some cons of owning a Hummer H2?
Fuel economy is the only drawback, very reliable and fun to drive.
Can I buy this car and bring it to Egypt
It was sold back in 2020, but thanks for inquiring!
Here from better call Saul

Piss poor mileage, poor visibility, top heavy, underpowered, overpriced roadbarge! Not made anymore for a reason! They are junk!

Try supercharging it. I can say it's marvelous. Either ya get it or ya don't.
