I am born, i have raised my kids and i have grown old in Värmland, i have seen the world and its wonders, but yet i wish to end my days in this place, with these people around me, the land of story tellers and sagas.
Glad blir man! :)
This beautiful song performance by Jussi Bjorling reminds me an unforgettable summer I spent in Saffle Varmeland, in a student exchange program in 1963
Every time I listen to the wonderful voice of the great Jussi Bjoerling, one of the greatest singers of all time, I feel a great emotion, especially in this beautiful piece, in which he sings the beauty of his land: here his voice rises over the forests. and on the lakes with contemplative solemnity and mysterious melancholy and descends into the depths of the soul. May his name and his art be remembered for ever.

Really beautiful. It is similar to a music of Bedrich Smetana, a Czech composer.
