Controlling your sticks doesn't need to be complicated. It needs to be practiced properly, and in this video you're going to learn a few stick control exercises to help you develop better technique, grip and control with your drumsticks.
These are not exercises from the stick control book, they are exercises to help you develop control with your sticks.

Just starting out, just a practice pad and sticks. This is very helpful. Appreciate your channel 😀.
Happy to help! Thanks so much for your support.
Man, I’ve been working so much lately, I’m looking forward to trying out your ideas. Thanks
Have fun!
German grip 4-eva! I'll roll slightly to an American grip if I need things to get bouncier, but I don't think I ever use French grip, I just don't feel like I have enough control.
French grip is great for blasting, but when it comes to drum fills on the toms it can be difficult to control. That's why I switch between german / american / french.
Excellentl well explained all I a short video
Glad it was helpful!
@@CameronFleury it always is ... it's way helpful bro as even if I play 35+ years it;s important always to get back to the basics even mentally to see if there is anything left that can be pushed up to raise the whole barrier ...
what do you call that red on the snare
Why on earth do you mute the practice pad after the bar? :D
Its a habit. 😂
