I just wish Nissan, and the vast majority of car manufacturers, will give us more interior colour choice than jet black! I hate sitting in a car that feels like I am inside a dark coffin.
THANKS, Thomas, for including info about rear axle suspension etc. MUCH appreciated. To my opinion ANY info about the handling dynamics on any car is most welcomed. I.e. discussions about under-/oversteering, handling on braking into curves - or acceleration out of curves, handling on rather bumpy roads to check suspension under "hard" exercise etc etc. After all the drying dynamics are really important for the fun, relaxation and safety of any car - no matter if it is a slow and cheap family car or a fast luxury-car. Because it not all of us who can afford real fine cars. For instance; taxation and VAT and tulls are ridicously high here in Denmark... Best regards, respect and THANKS for doing such good job in auto-journalism. PR
41MPG from a hybrid petrol seem a little pointless when compared to the 2.2d 185BHP Mazda CX5 that I have that does more to the gallon than that with the added benefit of loads of low down torque that just makes it so effortless.
Have they fixed the issue of the front halogen indicators being out-shon by the DRLs, so much so that you can't even see the front indicators when they're on!!!
Agree. Apparently E power is a very good and well regarded hybrid set up. The Qashqai will be a good candidate for this. I wish Nissan would consign the current Micra to the bin and replace it with the far superior new Note from the Japanese market.
@@simeongeorgiev9990 You're right, it's considered C-Segment because of the dimensions. But the chassis is CMF-B plateform which is the plateform of the Clio 5/Captur2 (and Nissan's cousins) which are B-segment. And the interior is nearly the same as the Clio 5/Captur 2 interiors.
That's not quite how height works (in relation to the head room issue) though is it..... Generally, your height is distributed between the length of your legs and the length of your torso. To me, Rory looks like he has a long torso, meaning he has less headroom than most people of his height I'm 6ft 2" and have about the same headroom as Rory, as my torso isn't as long, but my legs are much longer. If you're 6'4 and have 35" in-seam, you'd still be fine in the Qashqai
That car is throwing a lot of RF interference. You can hear it in the big mic while using the display. Even in the backseat, it's picking up interference.
Interesting car,but not a favourite of mine for sure.. Thomas, i would like to see you in a drag race with Mat Watson. What's your answer?..Let's Go!..i hope😁
I get the impression Nissan are a little scared of design ,So they have to keep the design the same on all their cars .. I don't understand how Renault and Mercedes can produce some amazing ideas ...I mean these Guys sit at the same Table right ?
Scared of design? Really? Looks like a very bold and striking design to me. Would say the same for the Juke. You surely can't say the Kadjar is a bold piece of design.
5th gear is "tricky" to find, why, why Nissan, because or Renault gearboxes? Will they ever learn to make them? Same story is with Fiat 6 gear transmissions. Why? In 2021. one would asume they have (after 100 years of design) manage to "nail" it, but noooo they didn't. What a bunch of m*rons.

Are you sure the 1.5 version will be 3 cylinders not 4
e-power technology is the best car tech ever
Don’t know why, but I miss your intro “full length, full HD…” Though, review is interesting as always!
Cheers! I ll note that for the next one =)
Yes for sure please bring it back :) And many thanks as always for the great review!
yeah bring it back bro!
💯 agree. It’s like McDonald’s getting rid of the Golden Arches
Now when 4k is available Full HD sounds a bit outdated.
I just wish Nissan, and the vast majority of car manufacturers, will give us more interior colour choice than jet black! I hate sitting in a car that feels like I am inside a dark coffin.
Back to the 80s! With green, blue or red cloth interiors! 😎
Funnily enough a black interior would always be my first choice. I don't like light coloured interiors.
Big mic is best mic. Wonderful and informative review, as always!
=)
As always best reviews, I really hope that you'll reach 1M mark soon, as you totally deserve it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
With ur help! ✌️😊
Looks like a car that checks all the right boxes. Great review!
Cheers!
Thanks for the review. The car seems like a good allrounder...

Thanks so much Peter
Nissan is back with making this
When hybrid will be available? That is the most interesting change.
Thomas: Let's show manuals power, 4th, 5th gear!
6th gear: :-(
Is this vehicle being built with the Jayco CVT Automatic??I hope not.Hopefully it comes to US as a manual option.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. Hugely popular In the UK 🇬🇧 where It Is also built
Greetings 🖖

Finally, affordable vehicle !
✌️
Very good review 😀 👍 🚗
🙏🙏
British built and leading the class it started.
e-power technology is the best car tech ever
Looks good
Many thanks for the great review sir.
Please I would like you to review the Kia Picanto and Kia Rio.
🙏🙏

Cool qashqai
I heard its body roll is bad. What do you think?
Thanks for the great review Thomas , how it compares to the new Tucson ? from riding comfort view not performance
Tucson suspension is softer
Do you recommend it over seat Ateca 2021 or seat offers better performance and build quality?
I would go for a pre-facelift ateca to have the easier infotainment system
Are they giving any mpg for the epower that comes out 2022
Love it
Like dose it come with automatic.
The E Power may be a game changer. Just like what it did to the Note in Japan.
Agree. Apparently E power is a very good and well regarded hybrid set up. The Qashqai will be a good candidate for this. I wish Nissan would consign the current Micra to the bin and replace it with the far superior new Note from the Japanese market.
@@jdmguy44 I was thinking the same about the micro. They want to reduce their lineup so makes sense to replace it with the e power Note
Price?
Price for the full specs car?
Maybe my next car🙃
We need this model in the US
Can you please do review on MG HS DCT
Whitch is better Renault Arkana or this. I drive the Arkana is smooth and not bumpy what you think? witch is better ?
Not the same segment. Arkana is a Captur coupé. B-Segment. Here is the C-Segment, more comparable with the futur Kadjar.
@@sirius8103 Arkana is c- segment and it's not a capture it's a Clio .. but okey

Does it have 6 gears or 5?
This, did they cheap out with a 5 gear gearbox?
6
6 speed

Yes indeed. Even the big microphone could not filter it out completely, that was very shocking
most people live in apartment buildings so don't have home charging .... e-power solves this problem for 80 percent of the planet
It's the cousin of the future new Renault Kadjar.
no more range anxiety
Nice vehicle but I thing they should be doing an upgrade for that keyfob looks ugly.....

OK at first thought that I am the only one finding the gearbox a little tricky in that area
