When these shows were on, we just took it for granted, cause there's another one on tomorrow (carson, letterman, and Craig ferguson) I'm 55, watching this now makes me feel bad and good at the same time, cause this doesn't exist anymore. These guys have been on TV since the 70s and still today. God bless em

I love that Martin and Paul started out together doing Godspell in Toronto and kept on doing musical bits together each time Martin was on The Late Show or Late Night.
Ms. Catherine O’ Hara, Ms. Gilda Radner, Mr. Eugene Levy, Mr. Victor Garber, Mr. Dave Thomas joined Mr. Martin Short and Mr. Paul Shaffer. Mr. Short describes it at length in his memoirs. A highly recommended read. 😊

There is a documentary in the works about that show. Both Paul and Martin talk about Godspell in their autobiographies. Both books are excellent.

I dont know if you reas the youtube comments Mr.Letterman, but please stay healthy and live forever. You and Johnny Carson are my favorite hosts, nobody can come close to you two. Marty once told a very funny anecdote about a phone conversation he had with Tony Randall I keep hoping to hear again some time.

Martin Short does this amazing thing with his face sometimes..... like, he'll slow down his microexpressioning on purpose and like... his eyes just have this weird hang-time to them. He does this a lot in Clifford.... he's doing that exact same thing at 7:50. "Look at me like a human boy!" -Grodin

Have been loving him on the brilliant “Only Murders in the Building” for three seasons now. Miss you, Dave! You have always been an original! Well, it can only be the one, the only, Martin Short. So good to see Paul, tonight. What an understatement. Riveting. All of it. I see Barbara has stepped away from her duties, again. I saw Steve Martin and Martin Short in Nashville in 2021. Amazed that these guys are still working. Gives us all hope, right?
