      Of course it doesn't it's been 40+ years later done with 2 different musicians in the band now and live aren't going to sound like the original studio version. That and everyone is a old man now in the band with the youngest being the bass player who's actually Ted's neighbor up the road from him he said that told Ted he learned all of his songs and bass lines from those and Ted hired him as his bass player has been with Ted for quite a few years now . This song hasn't been played or done much live by Ted through the years for some reason but I really like the original studio version of it on the cat scratch fever album and still listen to it to this day at times .

    Show would have been better if Ted's mike cut out and only Derek's worked. If I wanted to go to a political rally, I would. When I go to see a Classic rock show, I like some of the nostalgic aspects of them. The political rhetoric absolutely ruins that.

      No duh, that's the whole point - Ted is losing fans with this shit. I wouldn't go to one of his shows and I wouldn't even buy one of his albums (hell, I outgrew his childish musical ramblings by the time I was 15 anyway).

    • @vandersgarage4682
      @vandersgarage4682 6 лет назад +1

      That's your prerogative. He still has many loyal fans that still buy tickets to his shows. He is a great musician and great person. I couldn't give two shits about his politics and don't agree 100% with everything he says, but I still like his music. I can't stand Alec Baldwin or Sean Penn when it comes to their political views, which they voice proudly every chance they get, but I will still watch their movies. But then again, I tend not to be as petty as some.

    • @kbean63
      @kbean63 6 лет назад

      Vander615 Gaming
      Yeah, but those two actors don't spend half of every movie forcing the audience to listen to their politics. When you attend one of their films you're not paying any money to hear their political views and you can always change the channel if they're on TV proselytizing.

    • @peteloomis8456

      You do know that Ted's father was in the military during WWll ? A lot of his work ethics came from his father telling him if you want something you have to work for it and that's what Ted did by digging up and selling worms delivering news papers and working at a gas station that by the way the owner fired the guy he had because when Ted would come to work he would not only do the full service thing but once done he would start cleaning the shop up and organize things and the owner noticed this and fired the full time employee he had because he was lazy and wouldn't do anything other than pump gas . Ted did all of these things to get enough money to buy his first Gibson Byrdland guitar when he was young to upgrade to a better guitar to start his band eventually called the Lourdes then the Amboy Dukes and if you know anything about these Gibson Byrdland guitars they are fine hand crafted and very expensive guitars when they came out and are worth a fortune today. You also have to figure this is his show and his stage and he tries to put on a stage presence that's his own as a rock warrior and anti government and pro American ways because as you can see we have a lot of government over reach now especially with this administration we have now that's constantly trying to infringe on our constitution and constitutional 2nd amendment rights and a lot of anti American hating people that are politicians that are supposed to work for us that hate America and are trying everything they can to change this country that your and my grandfather fought in WWll keep our freedoms . It's a shame that we have these people who don't care that we had all those soldiers who died for our freedoms that just don't care about it and want to bury it in the past or erase it like they are doing erasing history in the schools and books and stuff like tearing down monuments and Ted definitely sees this as well and it hurts his heart and pisses him off to see what's happening to our once great country and sure he didn't go to Nam but neither did other rockers back in the day with some that actually left the country to hide from the draft where Ted stayed here in the states and dropped out of college and started his career in music which turned out pretty good with over 40 million copies sold and was at one time one of the top rock acts to follow . When he and Derek and Rob Grange and the drummer Cliff Davis would your they were playing over 300 days a year which had to be grueling to say the least but this shows the tenacity of how hard of a work ethic that the whole band had to keep pushing to the top at one point until Ted left the management and record companies and went solo .

      @@peteloomis8456 Ted and his dad were boy scouts compared with my father. My dad weighed 80 pounds when he was liberated. He was beaten, starved, and had frostbite. He also had to suffer through the Black Hunger March across Northern Europe. As a guitarist, Ted would not have lasted 30 seconds with great musicians from my dad's day. I can play anything Ted played in my sleep, but I'll never come close to the playing of Joe Pass, or the Great Guitarist group (Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, and Charlie Byrd). Those guys blew my mind after listening to Ted, Zep, and Aerosmith in high school. Compared with real men and real musicians, Ted is mostly bluster. I love America, but it saddens me that so many people here have such narrow horizons that they believe the bluster. Ted is what others say about Trump: He's a dumb man's smart man and a weak man's strong man. On Trump: For God's sake, the guy inherited $200 million from Daddy and still went bankrupt six times despite ripping off creditors, vendors, employees, and customers (e.g., Trump University). It's amazing that so many people believe his own bluster and think he's a great businessman. He's a con artist and that's all. I pray to God that Americans read more books, listen to a wider variety of music, and travel to more countries. Otherwise, more con artists will be elected into office.
