Long-time fan. This is a really great recording of a full live set for them, so nicely done to whomever I owe credit. But man, I have to tell you all, once you see this band live, you're spoiled. Their albums are incredible, but when you've seen them live, you wish you could just see them live all the time.
I would drive anywhere in the states to see these guys. Been a fan since ~2010 when my buddy showed me Young Mountain. Tunnel Blanket is my favorite album.
Ive driven to 4 Hours to New York City to see them live about 13 times. This one was nice because they played 2 nights in a row. Double Whammy, I was there. I got to see them twice.
i think this is the only post rock band i still listen in 2024, every other sounds the same since 2009, but TWDY kept exploring and making new sounds, new sensations, and new emotions. I personally love the Another Language, i still listen to it. I´m glad they came to Chile in 2018 and I could see them live.
I Need to go to one of these shows!! Just look at the crowd.. they are physically there but their minds are flying over the clouds.. You see how they dont even want to make noise and mess up the magic that is happening on stage..
Chicago, lincoln hall bruthers. An experience through light, sound, space, mind and spirit. thankd fellas and whomever posted/produced this video; phenom!
I was at this show. It was the best i have ever seen them and Ive seen them more than a dozen times. They did 2 nights in a row there, this was the second. I went to both. There was a feeling in that room that you cant get from the video.
finally got to see these guys live a couple months ago, truly special. like the top comment of this video, i love their records, but their live set is something i never wanted to leave
I've heard every live set of theirs that I can find and this is the best of the best thank you for this I don't know how many times I've listened to it I feel like we've been through so much together :) nothing but love for them.
This video does not do the live experience justice; when I saw them live, they were so loud and intense that I had to stand in the very back. I don't think it was a mixing issue, but more in the way they make music, and that's what makes them so great.
@@zergio2382 Presumably that's Donovan Jones and Alex Bhore. Jones was their bassist and keyboardist from 2007 to 2016, while Bhore was their drummer from 2009 to also 2016.
Well actually, they probably just ran the line out from the mixer split directly into the on-camera XLR inputs and set the cameras to line. TWDY's live mixes are great, so I doubt they'd go through all that extra work.
I actually did something different this time than usual. Normally I'm stuck recording my own audio using whatever basic stuff I have + board sound, but this time I was able to use the audio recorded by NYC Taper, who do a fantastic job with live recordings all over the place. RUclips won't let me link you to them, but definitely look them up. Will post the specs they used in a separate comment.

The bald guy in the white shirt losing his damn mind during Black Dunes just completes this.
too right

Everytime I hear these guys play, they dig deeper and deeper. It's ethereal infinity.
I could die happy/sad listening to them
Dustism blows me away every listen. What a great band
Many post rock bands have been coming to Chile. I'm just waiting for TWDY to come. Great show.
quiet is one of my favorite songs
That Little Smoke to Workhorse transition is KILLER
Omg so many of my favourite songs in one set. Wish I was there ...
This is the kind off genre that you like to listen in a cinema and stay sit
Hell yeah, I’d have no problem paying to see a TWDY concert film in theaters
perhaps the best recorded concert in the world
These guys are probably the best Post Rock group I enjoy listening to the most. So deep!
That was the most peaceful concert I have ever seen.
New topia all day long.
I was there. I've seen them live 12 times and this one was the most memorable.
soooooo underrated
40:49 still magical
New topia ♥️♥️
Black Dunes; OMG. Wow. How full of emotions it was- see the girl on the front-on right-45:32, how she gets into an emotion- it explaines it all:))

Whenever I’m lost in life (which is most of the time ) these guys bring me back to earth
Damn.. This is great. Thanks. A Three-Legged Workhorse
i love this band so much I want to cry
me too! this band meant so much to me. I wish one day I can go see them live. I can only wish tho.
This is truly wonderful. Saw them in Rome, Sept 2015, one of the greatest show ever. Also had a chat with them, funny guys.
This band really rocks!! Definitely MY best discovery/band of 2021. But a little late though! 😊
They are a treasure
WONDERFUL. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE UPLOADER.
So good.. thanks for posting.

Their crescendos are so good. One of the best post rock bands! Favrorite Part 33:30
Digging the multi-angles. Great job!
These guys dont need lyrics, the music tells its own story.
The bassist jamming at 6:15 ... I felt that.
yes! thank you for this!
Immediately hit like before it started. Seriously amazing!
I am destroyed by the first song and more is still to come....fuck yeah!!
I love that video so much. Unearthly music recorded so well!
Cheers from Pale Fog!

I’ve listened to this set so many times over the years.
Thanks for uploading it.

Highly Sophisticated. Extremely recommended. [ 17/01/2024 ]
Sleeping to these type of music is the best!
Long live TWDY..

I've heard every live set of theirs that I can find and this is the best of the best thank you for this I don't know how many times I've listened to it I feel like we've been through so much together :) nothing but love for them.
was suppose to see them in seattle tonight, but things didn't work out. this makes it a little better.
BRAVO

This is the most Brooklyn thing I've ever seen.
Joyita, me curó la depresión.

it's just 4 of them? what the hell
dude I was just watching this video and of course your comment is the first one
Goodbye TWDY. Thanks for the awesome music!
two members left, the band is continuing.
you clearly don't know what drone music is if you think the new TWDY stuff is drone.
Definitely not drone. Ambient in parts, yes. No percussion, or drums in pure drone music.
Grandfather Clock, everlasting epic..
I've seen them live just to hear 34:37. Dem shivers, man...
do you best!
Can't wait to see you guys in Michigan again. Keep it up. Wish you all the best.. your music gets me through a lot..
Poor guy just wants to hear villa
it's incredibily funny
Not enough cymbal..
Give them a break, they're from Texas, where anything under 70ºF is freezing.
JthePizzleDouglas077 I'm from Texas, it's 65 degrees, I'm wearing a coat
3 gerd
I gotta have more cowbell baby!
Hahaha love it.
Please come México!
There's no Dono and Bhore anymore... Sadly, that was their best period for me
Who are they?
@@zergio2382 Presumably that's Donovan Jones and Alex Bhore. Jones was their bassist and keyboardist from 2007 to 2016, while Bhore was their drummer from 2009 to also 2016.
Awesome job. Do you mind telling me how you set up the recording? Was it multi-track? It sounds so pristine.
Subscribed!
i was there both nights... fucking magic
Amazing band❤
Also 200th comment 👍🏻
wohoooooooooo
Yes, Little Smoke! That's the one I wish they'd played in Dallas a month before this.
I need a paiste giant beat 24 or 26 whatever he has
Which is the most significant song to watch on this vid? I cant wait to watch them in June. Thanks in adv!
Соло плохо слышно, а так замечательное видео, звучание quiet в конце порадовало - сильно.
post-rock is the new sex
I always have postrock on background music when I have sex. Some girl do not like it but thats a good filter lol
@@element19ch some😭
👍👍👍👍
Oh Fucking god one of my favorite songs "There Are Some Remedies Worse Than The Disease" Can you feel the mad, the storm that will never stops?
Queremos ver esto en México pero creo que nunca pasará...

Anybody know what guitar the person sitting down is playing? Is it a 72 tele?
Jeremy if i am not wrong
but theres only 22k people viewing this wtf it is a grate band and live always sounds better
Does anyone know what cymbals were being used? They sounded amazing.
Anyone know where to get that 'DPPX' skully the bassist is wearing?
Half the time I watching the dude in the white shirt go bonkers!
sounds like a line of freighttrain'ers full on of hope for the rust of us
Brooklyn
does anyone know what ride cymbal he's using?
Boże ratunku idę spac
Come to tehran :(
the bassist is the best
Minute 39:30
Does anybody know, which guitar amp they're using?

Schoeps MK4V (LOC, at SBD, PAS)>KCY>Z-PFA>Sound Devices USBPre2 + Soundboard (engineers: Nick + TWDY’s engineer (please provide name if you have it))>>Edirol R-44 [OCM]>2x24bit/48kHz WAV>Adobe Audition CS 5.5 (align, mix down, adjust levels)>Izotope Ozone 5 (harmonic exciter, EQ, imaging)>Audacity 2.0.3 (track, amplify, balance, downsample, dither)>FLAC ( level 8 )
52:40 onwards is stratospheric levels of epicness - until 1:00:09, after which the proceedings are epic, but not stratospheric epic.
