Its a long time since I've seen anybody use a knife to peel potatoes. I remember the days of using my thumb as a cutting board. Which i could do without cutting my thumb bc the knife was so dull. The chips look lovely and the mother daughter kitchen chores looks like memories of a lifetime.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. My mum used to use a massive knife, so I had that passed down 😉 and she used to cut them in her hands too - I stick to the chopping board. Have a great day.

Cant beat homemade chips and chip pans are a lot easier to clean than deep fat fryers even though I know fire brigade don't recommend them I've been looking at getting this very same chip pan in argos them chips look yummy

I prefer lard / tallow, seed oils release a lot of aldehydes. Anyway nice video 👍

Fab, very helpful. Is that a Judge Vista pan, plz… what diameter pan? And what volume of oil? And plz!,, Weight of chipped spuds for your family of 4 ( new to chips), great closing shot but not long enough to savor the gorggravy😂

Nice video but you should use a potatoe peeler so you have minimum potato wastage.

You could make fried skins with those peelings! 👍
