Can you explain what the deadband does? Does that make it so that the Offnormal Algorithm goes back to "Normal" within deadband OR is that how much is added to the High and Low limits before it alarms?
Hi, Its nice video explaining the alarm configuration in niagara. Appreciate that. Could you tell us how these alarms can be pushed to external opc ua client like ua expert tool.
Hi Sean, this depends on the protocol and how exactly you wan't to set those alarms up. There are multiple ways to do so and it depends on specifics of the job in hand. Keep an eye on our how to series.
Hi Thanks for the video. I have an issue with alarm recipient on the supervisor. All my alarms go to supervisor from JACE as Default alarms. On the JACE I have them as Critical, High and Medium Class Alarms. Do you know what causes this to happen?
I have no idea what you meant about parent parent, or where the fault name is on the source name, i can't see boiler fault name on there? can you please expand on this? I set this up without the parent parent stuff and it worked fine I have no idea what you were talking about previously but thanks for the video.
The parent.parent structure dictates to the name of the naming convention where the alarm/history ext resides. For example. If the point where the ext resides is called FanAlarm and that point sits in a folder called FCU1. By using the BFormat of the parenting structure you can extract the name of the point. So, if I were to use %parent.parent.name%_%parent.name% I would get: FCU1_FanAlarm Because the first parent’s name of the ext is FanAlarm and the 2nd parent is the folder called FCU1.
Hey OneSight! Awesome videos, I'm having an issue displaying an alarm console on a users HTML based account. I am able to link the console from the subordinate JACE to the Supervisor and it displays properly on Tridium, but when the user logs on through their web access that we created for them, the alarm console does not populate--it just shows some of the icons of the alarm console but not that actual live alarms. I'm not sure if this is an issue with category service allowances? Thanks for any help! -Mark
go to kitcontrol module, open logic folder, and drag a "not" into the wiresheet. link the alarm status output to the "not" input. it reverses it like magic. then use the output of the "not" to go to your relay signal

I have passed your comment onto our engineers. They will come back with an answer

Hello, Do you know if it's possible to acknowledge all alarms of the "Alarm Consol" with a action button (OneShot)? Thank you in advance.
How do you changed the polarity of the alarm? Meaning if I want the point to be NO or NC.
