It's what made me so mad when the freaks started wandering in to try to cancel her, she hasn't done shit to anyone and just likes to talk to her chat and play video games.
People do not change. It is the exactly the same people everytime. People who refuse to be better and learn. Something simple as knowing about sin is something a man should recognize at least, Instead blaming another person is their Modus Operandi. Talking to em is hopeless.
@@Righthandfrombehind Ironic considering Rowling and her ilk do nothing but blame trans people and neuro-divergent people for their problems ALL DAY...only he who is not guilty is worthy of casting the first stone.
Pikamee's graduation was one of the worst moments in VTubing history, and it was only worsened when you learned she had been harassed growing up. When Henya debuted I had no idea what the excitement was for until i finally watched a bit of it, and that voice gave me the same reaction as everyone else does in this video, and ive been a Hentai ever since on Twitch. So happy Henya is here, and she has been able to do so much since her debut.
I've said this before in another video that I feared Pikamee would graduate, not just because it was a smile we failed to protect, but because it would be used as a rallying cry to galvanize trans phobes to attack the Trans community. Which was the absolute LAST thing Pikamee wanted.
@@gekirobo8720 No matter which way you slice it tho it was the trans/trans rights community that attacked her and everyone else. It was not a minority either it was the majority at the time and saying otherwise is willing ignorance. Look back at the situation with a critical eye and you'll see the unfortunate truth. In all honesty tho, communities as big as the lgbtq community just aren't going to be good because there will always be rotten people who manipulate the community and end up making the lives of lgbtq people who just want to live peacefully, worse because of their actions. The people who attacked all these streamers made the streamers fans possible transphobes and thats not something you can just ignore.
She had admitted in several previous streams that she had been bullied at school and had low self-worth. Her graduation though while sad was her taking a leap for a greater opportunity. And boy did it pay off. Her graduating was a preplanned execution regardless of the external Twitter forces, which remember Silvervale and several others were also attacked heavily. She would have graduated as planned and then debuted as Henya as planned. She is now saying that her time with Vshojo is the best time of her life.
I still remember how for some reason, the Alphabet community still found a way to make it about themselves, saying how things will get worse for the trans community now, never once admitting their own fault in that mess.
@@gekirobo8720 _"it would be used as a rallying cry to galvanize trans phobes to attack the Trans community"_ Oh no! The consequences of our own actions!
Pikamee was the first and only vtuber I watched that actually read chat, I said I was having a bad day and it was my 18th birthday 3 years ago. She read my comment and tried to cheer me up. She didn't have to do that but she did. I was drawn in by the fact that she never made either her Japanese or English audience feel unseen. I wish Henya the best because I know deep down she's a good person, you can tell. We love you Henya!
She seriously is just a sweet innocent sweetheart. Attacking her is the equivalent of kicking a Puppy. Even everyone in VShojo state there is something about her that just makes you want to protect her. I love that now she can be more risky and more her gremlin self as Henya. She literally turned VShojo around and made them a true Vtubing Corpo. Their now more collaborative and close. Whats funny is she was the Oishi of many vtubers that are now just as popular. She was an inspiration to so many to be yourself and to become vtubers. Mint , Pippa.
a lot of twitter users are willing to hurt people (and even innocent animals) for clout and stuff... they need that rage and hatred in their daily lives.
@@scrapeddiamonds5776I think it speaks to the fact that they are angry about SOMETHING, but use OTHERS for the outlet of their anger. (It also doesn't help when grifters rally around a "cause" they don't ACTUALLY believe in or don't do much proper research into forming an opinion for clout!)
When Henya was waiting for her surgery with her mamanya IRL, her friends were with her on discord comforting her. Ironmouse, ever the old hand with medical procedures explained to her what was going to happen to help ease her mind.
Uhm, may I ask what surgery you're referring to? I don't mean to intrude, I'm just curious as I've never heard about it since I don't watch Henya too often. To tell the truth I came across this video after watching another recent clip where in the comments section I noticed something about a reincarnation and-because of my endless curiosity-started doing some digging to try and find out why they used the word reincarnation. Edit: Unrelated to my question up above, but I finished watching the video as well, I was unaware of all the details and am now sad to know what happened previously, but also happy to see her newfound success. She is so wholesome and kind, she deserves everything she's achieved.
@@pvtpy1e Was it? Henya's debut wasn't that recent was it? I could've sworn it was sometime last year. Rima also said something close to the end of the vid about Henya having same-day surgery literally the day before her debut, so I assumed that one was what you were referring to, unless she had another one after that which is more recent.
@@zyliantheviking6016 her surgery was in February of 2024 and she streamed the next day. It was a small procedure. But there's risk in any surgery especially when there's general anesthesia involved.
I remember a couple of years ago when I had my hernia surgery. I was only in the hospital for hours and was put under anesthesia. It may have been a simple procedure in of itself but I can personally say that it is stressful and you don't sleep well the night before the surgery.
I think a big part of the "loli" issue is that for some, apparently especially in Japan, the term has come to just mean a cute, young or young-looking female character. But for others, apparently especially in the English-speaking world, it inherently includes a sexual aspect to it - after all, it traces back to the book Lolita, where an old man who abuses a young girl. So basically when a JP speaker says "loli", an EN speaker may hear "CP". Then you put that into Twitter and you have yourself an outrage.
And Japan more open to the sexual jokes anyway. No one expects person who use some questionable sexual themes for laughs to go and r*pe living people on the streets or something. People have cultural literacy, internet and real life are different things. Twitter lost that ability long ago and began to persecute thought crimes so even when Japanese understands sexual undertones this word have for the English speakers it still not rings to him as something criminal that must be ceased immediately.
Henya is the best dayo! Anyone who dares to attack her again is an instant enemy in my eyes, I don’t care who it is. She literally one of the most wholesome Vtubers ever. The Hogwarts Legacy drama caused her so much unimaginable stress. Although she’s been back and fine for a year now, it still infuriates me that she had to go through all of that just because she wanted to play a video game… But as long as Henya’s happy, I’m happy. But if they dare try to strike again, it will be war.
Stole the words out of my mouth, but I would like to say this. Henya whether intentionally or not is getting the best revenge, finding happiness in spite of those who wanted her to be miserable. She was bullied and while she ended up with the happy ending; the bullies fail and keep on failing. Take MarinaVT, the one Rima showed, for example.
Even though it wasn't the Wizard game that caused her to level, it is what changed how she left, and I think she admitted to being part of the reason she took at least more time off before graduating. As was said then, Never forget what they took from you, & never forgive...
If anyone is wondering about her deeper voice closer to her debut, she revealed in a stream that she learned to make her voice deeper to fit in and not be bullied for being different or accused of trying to act cute. Her higher pitch voice was actually her natural voice, and she switched back once she felt comfortable vtubing. It kind of became a meme that it was a different pikamee in the beginning.
I watched Pikamee''s graduation and I cried. I did not knew much about her but a friend told me about her. I gained so much interest in her clips and the content that she created. When I found out that she was getting hate all because of a certain game, I felt so sorry for her. I did even my silly Listerine Hair edit of her before she graduated as a gift. When she came back as Henya, I was so happy that she was able to still create content. She deserves so much love and support. She has gone through so much. What I've also noticed is Pika's design. She is proof that you do not need an over the top design to get fans.
I was crying during the first stream after the graduation announcement and probably even harder during her final stream. That's not even mentioning the incredible fan work that people did.
I started to work overnight at homeoffice, because of my father's illness and constant need of care. He sadly passed away after two years of struggle and I couldn't fix my sleep schedule because of PTSD, waking up every minor or imaginary noise. I find Pikamee during my father's illness period and she was the sole reason I stayed positive, smiled to time to time. I resonated with her in many ways as I'm also a mixed in an ultra-nationalist country and targeted many times solely because of that. Long story short, she saved my arse man. I take a huge challenge and start to write my novel around her graduation news, and it is going really well. I'm still overnighter but hell I'm enjoying every second with her streams. Sorry for the long post!
Sorry for your loss. As an overnighter and so many stressful situations in my life, vtubers do help me de-stress. I know what you mean about being saved. It's great to watch, have fun, and support these people who use vtubing as a way to turn their lives around.
It was "Ohayo" for good morning, but since she was often very sleepy during morning streams she ends up saying it "Ohao" as if saying Ohayo while yawning. It stuck and became the actual greeting at some point.
When Henya "met" Mint (again) for the first time was one of the funniest and most beautiful moments in vtuber history! I love that we've reached a point where the TALENT can take center stage, despite what some corpos would like to have their talent believe.
@@MATTierial That and Matara practically throwing Mint and Henya into the same room, not literally obviously, then almost immediately running to let things simmer while she watched in the background.
I do feel bad that our lovely kettle is feeling sick atm. But Henya is great, she dreams big and works hard to achieve those dreams, with her 3D rather recent (a month ago). She can only go up from where she is, working hard toward being an idol and go for that concert she really wants.
Henya/Pikamee is someone with a heart of gold. People just can't let others live their life, can't they? She probably won't read this but just know I think she is a wonderful human being, and to never be brought down no matter what. ❤
If the best case scenario for Pikamee was that she went completely MIA for 3 weeks forcing her to spend her final moments as "Pikamee" in fear of streaming, then it was still really bad. I feel very little sympathy for those that hide behind others to excuse harassing anyone, which is precisely what they did regarding this. The only good thing to come of it is that Pika was an unfortunate martyr, & since then there _has_ been a shift in tolerance for that kind of harassment on the internet. & That she's currently thriving.
Thank you for this awesome video Rima. Even though this story is more known, its still good to have a video archive of what happened. Pikamee was one of first vtubers that i watched. It was the famous clip of the winnie the pooh baseball game. From there, i tried to catch a stream or just watch her vods. I believe there were rumors of her leaving voms project back in december of 2022, but the wizard game drama kinda push it faster ahead of schedule. Now with henya, shes just of one of cutest vtubers ive known and i love that kettle, as a friend dayo.
It may be well known among those that watch VTuber content more often or have been part of the community for years. I've only watched a small amount of various people over the years and I had no idea that Pikamee was the same person as Henya. It's a good recap video and a good bit of VTuber lore.
Henya has been one of the few things in this world that I can go back to and get a huge smile on my face. She's a lovable dork and I hope she continues to soar as a shining beacon of positivity
Agreed she didn’t deserve it but I can understand why some people can’t do that. I find it hard to separate it myself cause like I like certain games and shows in the past but find I can’t even play or enjoy them after learning about the horrible things their company’s have done. Not defending the disgusting harassment campaign against her that was very undeserved but there are people rightfully upset with JK shame they didn’t bully her off the internet instead. If they did the world would be a better place.
@Toneill029 I see the Hogwarts Legacy "boycott" as a perfect example of how radical activism, ESPECIALLY on Twitter, does much more long-term harm than good.
@@Toneill029 Just think about how short life is and you'll see how ridiculous it is to stop yourself from doing things you enjoy, just because you don't agree morally with the creators of the product
Sometimes I completely forget that Henya had a past life. She had grown and done so much in the past year, and is so widely cherished in the community that it feels like she had been around for longer than just 1 year
Something that's frustrating about the initial controversy, which also repeated with Henya's design, is that petite *does not* equal underage. If you've interacted with women irl, it should be pretty obvious that bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and not everyone is curvy with giant badonkers. Yet on the internet, small proportions gets the character labeled as a child and sparks controversy. It's a real "touch grass" issue
it always shocks me whenever Henya says she always thought she was a nobody growing up or that she wasn't anyone special. Her personality and positivity is so infectious and uplifting it can and has brightened my mood on my worst days, that alone is pretty special.
I'm so glad I followed the speculation and viewed her debut live. Her rapid breathing, the dayo 'heard around the world' and her laugh made it aware we were so back. It was the first time I subscribed to anyone on Twitch let alone day 1.
pika was the first vtuber i actually started watching the streams of, not just clips. There was something so comfy about her, every now and then i still go back to watch her laugh at that one bridge.
The hatred Pikamee absorbed was unwarranted and undeserved. She did nothing wrong and got treated poorly. Just horrible. When I heard she was graduating ,I was so ticked because once again, some dummies caused a bright, kind heart to leave. And then we couldn't even enjoy her videos because they wiped off the net! It had me cry in joy when Vshojo said they had a new member and I heard that kettle dayo laugh .I was glad she found a home again. And if ANYONE causes this pain again, people won't be silent. You can support your movement w/o harming the innocent!
Granted, she probably was graduating, but the way she spent those last months was radically different from what they should have been. As people were saying then, Never Forget what they took from you, & never forgive...
@@potatoradio And I still haven't to this day, it's still a serious sore spot. That's how big an impact she had at that point. I don't blame anyone for her graduation, I believe Gyari on this, that she was already planning. However, I do blame the hate on her for not letting her be with her community in peace for the length of time she had left from the day of the stream she canceled because of it. Honestly, my respect for her is the only thing that held me back, because I knew she wouldn't want retaliation in her defense, she's just that good a person, literally the closest the human race has to an actual angel. My already massive respect only grew once Henya came into the picture, because I knew the familiar voice was back despite everything and still the same person under the model despite how heavily she was harassed. That kind of thing can change a person, and I'm honestly glad it didn't change her.
If people are curious, Jitomi Monoe(the VTuber mentioned, who got terminated) is still streaming under the name "ebosi", and currently she's playing through the Elden Ring DLC

I learned of Henya almost a year ago and I used to lurk in many streamer’s streams, but when I got to Henya’s stream I couldn’t stop laughing. I made a comment for the first time in a vtuber stream and a lot of chatters were rolling. From their on I’ve had nonstop joy from her streams they’re always wholesome and funny, and the chat does reflect the streamer so thank you for covering this Rima you the best.
I remember when that whole Hogwarts debacle happened. I had never watched Pikamee before, so I was unfamiliar with her. I decided to investigate myself whether there were was any truth about all the accusations of transphobia hurled against her. From the moment I watched her streams for the first time, I could tell the accusations were BS. Her positivity and laughter were infectious. There was no way she was the bigot everyone claimed she was. I even ended up a fan. I was pissed that anyone would harass her. Regardless of whether the harassment led to her graduation or not, it was despicable nonetheless. Absolutely unforgivable. I was glad to see she wasn’t chased off the internet by all the psychos and simply moved to a new company as Henya. I continue to watch her streams to this day.
That's why I lay the blame squarely at the feet of toxic TRAs that engage in online cyberbullying hate campaigns. They don't help anyone - in fact their words, actions, and behaviours make people wanna take rights away from trans people. Marina_VT is one such individual, and she's one of the worst perpetrators of such indefensible acts.
Pikamee's graduation was the first one that broke me. I found her during a really bad time in my life and whenever her outro music came up on my Spotify, it made me teary-eyed. I remember watching Henya's debut and as soon as I heard her voice, I cried all over again. She didn't deserve the hate she got, and I'm glad she's happy in VShojo now
Not my first or the first to break me, but it is to this day the one that had the largest and longest lasting impact. My first was Coco, at which point I thought future ones wouldn't be that bad, I was horribly wrong.
I loved the Minecraft stream where he just picks her up and carries her around. I also love his reaction to Haruka when the kettle says “Hell yeah, brother!”
Thank you for making a video about Henya I still remember those day when she was driving a truck and saw Ikea then chaos. This is a very clear resume video of what happen and we all very happy that our Kettler is happy than ever. I always watch her stream inside or after work to cheer me up on these bad time. Like always thank you for making this Dayo.
Pikamee's fans when graduating: "We should have done more! We will miss you! :(" Henya's fans when debuting: *the literal embodiment of the AOT wall* Gotta give the one thing, after the whole Hogwart's drama, fans from all across were ready into making sure this doesn't happen again. Kinda reminds me of what happened with Kson. Just shows that just like the internet can be a terrible place, it can also be a wonderful place as well
Oh that's not Coco, what we think of as Kson is actually an insane fan who broke into her house and hacked into her computer. C'mon, "escaping harassment from CCP loyalists by maling a model based off her irl self"? Do you think i'm stupid?
Honestly, after Delutaya, Kson, Sayu, Doki, Mint, lol half of VShojo... It seems much of the stigma that was there a few years ago is disappearing. Granted if the situation is bad enough and the fault of a VTuber a change of identity won't probably help. But if it comes out things weren't their fault, if they just took time out and worked on whatever - and seem to have changed, or say they got pulled into say GFE (Many such examples - not just a recent one) and are using a graduation to create a clean slate... who cares now.
I had a somewhat curious eye at the VTubing scene when everything went down with Hogwart's Legacy and the controversies it had caused with all types of content creators. It was very saddening seeing Pikamee become the public face of "bullying someone so much for 1 thing that they end up leaving the internet" in the wake of it all, regardless of that statement's truthfulness. I've been steadily learning more small/subtle things about the VTubing scene for some time, and even though I was originally more a fan of Hololive and the occasional Indie, I've really started to love and appreciate VShojo after seeing ones like Henya, Matara, and Michi effectively make new lives there. Plus seeing the collective efforts from them and especially Geega get into more of the mindset of regularly collaborating and having fun with not just fellow company members, but with other indie VTubers outside the company, which is something you don't often see in the larger corporations like Hololive and Niji. I sincerely hope they all continue to grow and enjoy all the times they have together.
I'm so happy for her. I had never gotten to catch a stream when she was Pika but when I heard Henya's voice in a clip, my face lit up like Koe's. It's good to have her back and to hear she's living in her best moments. If that ever changed, I'm pretty sure the internet would descend into war.
She had a golden heart and it more or less broke mine when she was harassed. As for subhumans that harassed her ; Gods right is to forgive , mine is to remember.
They, of course, claim 'oh, we never harassed anyone, it was those evil bigots who were masquerading as us'. They are the sorts of people who will pee on you and tell you it's raining with a straight face. And then blame you for being peed on in the same breath despite them having gone out of their way to do this.
The silver lining of that happening. Just remember when the twitter freaks tried pulling the same shit on Holo ID, the SEA fans banded together and unleashed online toxicity the alphabet soup crowd have never experienced in their collective lives and they fucked off real fast, crying and licking their wounds from what was the equivalent of just a regular MOBA session for the average SEA person.
I don’t get how there’s genuinely people out there that see a petite vtuber model and immediately call that person a pedo….. like most vtuber models are based off of the irl talent ie some people in this world are naturally petite. Why’s everyone gotta try and make things weird? Yes there are creeps in this world but not everyone is a creep. Also creeps will always be creep regardless of what these vtubers do.
Because of people who obsess over Lolis like a dude in these comments with 63 likes...just get over it, depict people properly, don't get mad when people admonish you for portraying adults like they're children, just admit that's creepy as all hell and move along.
Loli might not amount to Cheese Pizza on its own, but creepy people absolutely fantasize about them, and to pretend otherwise is just lying to yourself and the healthy individuals in society.

Lots of twitter tards used Gyari's statement as an excuse to gaslight and memory hole their bullying and harassments. Just because she changed school doesn't mean she wasn't bullied.
This is the first video I've seen from you. Felt very informed, and the story flowed in a way that kept me engaged, as I did not get to experience the era of her graduation myself. Thanks for the vid!
People claiming she was never harassed and that the whole leave was planned miss one critical thjng: Even in a new form she still never streamed hogwarts legacy. She absolutely at the very least was harassed into canceling that stream and potential engagement forever to the point she dared not even try it again. This cannot be denied.
Yeah, it's just unfortunate how Pippa's stream ended on that game, basically her PC wasn't handling it well and the game crashed at the point of reaching the Ravenclaw dorms along with some serious frames issues right before if I remember correctly.
I had no idea her graduation had already been planned before the Hogwarts drama wtf Also, love how she accidentally said dayo in her debut like her past was supposed to be kept a secret and it just flew straight out the window immediately
That's not true, it was officially stated that her graduation was planned but if you actually research it was obvious that, that statement was just to take the heat off. She was planning on more streams and said as much before the hogwarts stuff happened its evident that she was not going to leave at the time.
@@lackofreason722What you said could be true, but in hindsight there were several factors which indicated that she was already planning to leave: 1) VOMs had announced a popup store in Shibuya quite early in 2023, then later revealed that it was going to include Pikamee graduation merch after she made the announcement. In Japan, it usually takes months to organize such merch, so it was likely already planned before Hogwarts happened. 2) It was only about 3 months between her graduation announcement and Henya's debut, which is not a lot of time to design, make and rig a model as good as hers. I doubt she would've been in the right mindset to have started the process during her hiatus unless it was already planned in advance. Vshojo also prepared all the teasers for her debut which would have taken a lot of time to make. 3) It had seemed like she was not going to be able to reach some of her goals within VOMs due to a lack of resources (3D model, concert, etc) so the only option was to leave. That said, Hogwarts definitely affected the end of Pikamee's run. She was probably planning to go out with a bang with many fun streams and a gauntlet of collabs with many friends she made along the way, but ended up needing to take a long hiatus because of the drama. Luckily she had the strength to come back for one final push in her final month, but otherwise she was robbed of the farewell she deserved.
@@lackofreason722 If you want to beleive that her graduation was instant okay. However, what Gyari pointed out was that he had to make custom merch for her graduation, this doesn't happen overnight, it takes a few months, the designs have to be done by an artist, then the order has to be placed for the merch to be manufactured and then received. The pop up store Gyari set up also takes at least a month to secure rent as it was only one table with shelving. All of that stuff takes time and her merch was graduating merch s in Pikamee had a diploma. Moreover, Pomu and Silvervale both stated they knew what was happening in January of that year. That's when Gunrun anounced to the VShojo team that Henya was being onboarded, and Pomu and other VTubers that are online friends were also notified. Remember the VTubing niche has lots of secrets due to both NDA's and the fact that a lot of stuff takes time to execute. Gunrun started getting the VShojo girls to sign NDA's as Mousey in particular but the other girls too kept spilling the beans on the company projects.
Another thing that made the Hogwarts Legacy drama upsetting is the author herself had 0 involvement with the project. It was all an original story taking place in a completely different point in time from the source material, it was a perfect way to disassociate the author from the product since the IP itself is still popular but people still chose to become hostile. I’m really glad that Henya is doing a lot better and made more supportive friends in Vshojo though I’m not sure if she’s been able to collaborate with other Vtubers like she used to.
I've been hearing some things with gaming and some supposed DEI consultant companies with a few too many connections with media and the like pulling shenanigans on developers who don't subscribe to their services. Judging by the posts that Rima showed on screen for the supposed 'transphobic' posts...? I'm more inclined to believe there was actually a thing going on there with the DEI consultancies, because it does indeed seem like there was a stretch to make those posts sound a bit more transphobic than they were Unfortunately, JK Rowling's writing and considerations were plenty terrible enough with that series that got her into fame, that you can find things that make it sound like she was being subtly racist and the like despite her supposed inclusivity. So she was an easy target. And everyone else got caught in the cross-fire because of that
@@gaerekxenos there has been a push to force diversity and inclusion into games for the ages several years now, people are only aware about it now because they effectively outed themselves as being the racists they accuse others of being to boil it down. As for Rowling’s work, I don’t know about the racism part in her books but it’s been said that she could’ve avoided some backlash if she just stayed away from twitter. There’s actually a video about a college student who used one of her tweets as proof that she’s transphobic but after their professor broke it down, they realized that she was actually being progressive and the student felt dumbfounded. I can’t recall which video it was but to be honest I don’t think it matters now because nearly everyone agrees that she’s transphobic because others say she is.
@@jaidora well, I’m not sure if I can agree with that last part so some proof would definitely help here. Though, the title would be nice. In the deepest despair of "Its so over", have we found the ultimate reaches of "WE'RE SO BACK" - These stories are always lovely, and Im glad there more prevalent in the vtuber scene
Even if Pikamee was planning on graduating before hogwarts, it doesn't change the hate was unwarranted not to mention we nearly lost Silvervale too... over a fucking game based on franchise they loved as kids. FFS as I that as I was typing another tweet from the hypocrite and perpetual victim was on screen. Never forget. Never forgive. Vitriol aside hearing the kettle was back was incredible, many tears of happiness that day. She'll never be called an "idol" but she doesn't have to, Henya is just Henya and thats more than enough. Definitely bias but it feels like Zentreya got left out especially given their bond in VShojo is undeniable. While never officially acknowledged outside the lore video, it is pretty safe to say Zen was one of the people who got Henya into VShojo. Since day one its pretty much been a goddamn sibling rivalry and its only gotten better over the last year with how *everything* has to be a competition xD
Pikamee/Henya is one of the reasons why I’ve decided to not only leave Twitter, but also to want to continue V-Tubing, because I too was relentlessly bullied a lot as a kid, so I understand what it’s like to have gone through that.
Good video. Agreed, pikamee didnt deserve the targeted harassment. This is why I hate the culture war currently happening in USA and in entertainment (especially in gaming and creating more problems).
Such sorrow to know she was leaving. Such exaltation to find out her journey didn't come to an end after all. Your video documents it all perfectly. If only it would stop raining in here......
I'm just so glad we got to keep her, even in another incarnation. As far as i can see, she's become the community's sweetheart and little sister and everyone wants to protect her. I feel she also awakened a lot of motherly/sisterly vibes in vshojo and the group grew closer as a result. So the haters can stay in their holes; she's our kettle ❤
I used to love her Tomato friend (the red haired girl), a Japanese vtuber who didn't know much English and wanted to practice English, so they'd sometimes stream together in broken English with some hilarious results, Pikamee was clearly good friends with her
You can't help but wish Henya all the best. One of the most wholesome people around, and it's fantastic to see that she's growing more and more confident as time goes by. Thanks for the fantastic video, Rima~!!
Hearing Henya talk about how something in 2023 almost made her give up her dream was heartbreaking knowing exactly what happened. I'm glad Vshojo was able to help her out
I was discussing some anime shows with a co-worker once, and he suddenly goes off on this tangent about how he hates anime that takes place in High School because he sees it as a sexual fantasy by the creators, or some other weird shit like that. I'm like, "...bro it's a cartoon. It's not that deep. wtf???" He thinks liking shows such as Shikanoko is gross. Makes me more sus about his own repressive thoughts more than anything. Anyways, just keep in mind that these are the types of people who are "hating." They're abnormal.
Henya is one the most wholesome and kind Vtubers out there and how matter what she will always be our genius kettle girl giving us hope and laughter. This video was awesome Rima and thank you dayo.
Henya is one of the very few with that so-called special aura. It's no coincidence that she is the oshi of some of the most famous VTubers around. She deserves the world.
I actually didn’t know Pikamee until the Harry Potter drama . I realized she’s a absolute national treasure that has to be protected from the evil of Twitter Edit/ 10:00 ironically, i looked into who she was after that Lily stream and “Lily talks about Pikame graduating “ video
Even if the graduation was plan ahead, she was suppose to announe it one month before her graduation, which everyone could have get that extra stream for that month, but because of that group, that one month of stream was stop.
I discovered Pikamee around the same time as the Hogwarts Legacy situation, and I've always liked her. I will say however that I do find many of her fans difficult to converse with due to how many of them struggle to separate Pikamee/Henya from the real person. Pikamee/Henya's first language is English, and she was raised in the US but moved to Japan at 14ish. She's half-Japanese and has blonde hair, which made living in Japan very difficult for her on top of not being fluent in the language. She's a grown woman playing a character and/or being herself with the volume turned up to eleven. I don't necessarily think she has a voice filter like some other VTubers, but you can definitely tell that her mic's settings are not optimal lol. Compare her various "voices", and you can definitely hear the mic distorting her voice somewhat, especially in comparison to her Pikamee days where she sounds much clearer. Regardless, she's awesome, and I hope the IRL person voicing Henya understands it's not the character we love, but her.
Wow she had me fulled, I really thought she was a newbie at Vshojo. But now looking closely at all the acting , and dance moves - you don't just make them over night, the experience she has brought into the new Model , all make sense now.
Finally, my beloved Laughing Kettle is getting the truth out. As a fan of Pikamee’s, I was devastated by the news of her graduation and was furious with the losers who ruthlessly went after her for the crime of WANTING to stream a game. Henya’s unexpected arrival was perhaps one of the saving graces of the year and to see her in a better state, reconnecting with friends… I truly am happy for her. “Truly, you are as beautiful as the day I lost you…”
I am just glad that Henya joining VShojo has exposed her to a lot more people in the Vtubing/Streaming scene, even getting some of them to admit having her as their Kamioshi. Though there's no guarantee that Henya will be safe from future harrassments/bullying/issues, I believe these people she met and collaborated with will be part of those who will stand up for her.
I really got drawn into VTubing largely because of 2 things: Asmongold reacting to Mouse singing and Pippa - particularly as she started standing up to what was happening to Pikamee - Silvervale... because they dared to think about playing the wizarding game. Ironically I think there are a fair amount older guys like me that were drawn in because of it being the latest front of the "culture-war". Lol, so Phase and VShojo (though Ironic with the Silvervale situation) seem to have benefited and drawn in the very fans that the gatekeepers never wanted in the fandom.
The pikamee experience in my perspective is something unique. I never really like vtubers and vtuber cutlure but Pikamee has a style and experience that I couldn't get enough of and its very heartwarming. So when she debuted a year ago I was very happy. Although she's playing a different persona now and is more involved in more vtuber culture I still support her even if its just watching her every now and then.
And we've come full circle! This is how I discovered you in the first place, Rima! I knew you were gonna redo the Henya video when you privated the first one. I didn't like the mean spirited comments you got, so I gave you my sub. Almost a year and 50,000+ subs (and counting) later... just look at how far you've come. And you're not stopping anytime soon! And to all those haters; "WHAT, NOW!?" I knew you had potential!
I forgot about all the rejoicing and ecstatic reactions when Henya debuted. It was crazy when some people didn't know for a few days to a week, and seeing their reactions. I remember my heart was uplifted that whole week.
Pikamee was how I 1st got into the vtuber scene other than Korone, but mostly Pikamee with her charm and overall beaming personality and charm. When the Hogwarts harassment happened and she Graduated, it really struck a nerve with me. What made me more sick was those proudly saying the harassment didn't lead to her graduation which was them just denying the cruelty that she got. Absolutely appalling. To even call it just plan backlash ticks me off because it a term that justifies the cruelty that she got. Seriously I hate it. She didn't deserve what she got or equally used to attack others. Removing all the political rhetoric, shows someone harassed because she was so far removed from the toxic political sphere and just wanted to have fun, ignorant to what was going on. So unfair to her and Seriously, those who target her can go away. I'm really glad though she was able to change and continue being her beaming and charming self through a new persona and continue to have opportunity to make us all smile everyday. Much love to her and much love to the video.
She regularly says that she's currently living best moments in her life after she discovered vtubing, its enought to make a grown man cry.
It's what made me so mad when the freaks started wandering in to try to cancel her, she hasn't done shit to anyone and just likes to talk to her chat and play video games.

I think there are a LOT of VTubers that consider her their Oshii, if not Kami-Oshii.
a lot of twitter users are willing to hurt people (and even innocent animals) for clout and stuff... they need that rage and hatred in their daily lives.

@@zyliantheviking6016 I believe Henya was being intentionally vague and did not say what procedure, but it was earlier this year.
Pikamee is the perfect example of how terminally online outrage is NOT activism. I’m glad she found her way to becoming Henya. Love Henya’s design.
Exactly!
And Japan more open to the sexual jokes anyway. No one expects person who use some questionable sexual themes for laughs to go and r*pe living people on the streets or something. People have cultural literacy, internet and real life are different things. Twitter lost that ability long ago and began to persecute thought crimes
so even when Japanese understands sexual undertones this word have for the English speakers it still not rings to him as something criminal that must be ceased immediately.
Henya is the best dayo!
Anyone who dares to attack her again is an instant enemy in my eyes, I don’t care who it is.
She literally one of the most wholesome Vtubers ever. The Hogwarts Legacy drama caused her so much unimaginable stress. Although she’s been back and fine for a year now, it still infuriates me that she had to go through all of that just because she wanted to play a video game…
But as long as Henya’s happy, I’m happy. But if they dare try to strike again, it will be war.
Concur!
No kettle no peace
Hell yeah, Brudda!

It kind of became a meme that it was a different pikamee in the beginning.
man i was questioning about this, finally got an answer, kinda want to find the vod/clip now
I watched Pikamee''s graduation and I cried.
Sorry for your lost man. Sorry didn't see this video and comment earlier but I wish you the best . And yes , Henya don't deserve any harsh treatment.
Ultra-nationalist country ? Based. Sorry for your loss, bro.

@@potatoradio And I still haven't to this day, it's still a serious sore spot. That's how big an impact she had at that point.
This kind of thing is why I'm a member. What you do is so important for the vtuber scene as a whole, keep it up!
Henya is so precious. I just want to give her a hug.
Also, seeing Koe melt upon her debut was the best.
I remember the tragedy that was Pikamie's graduation & Henya Debut
Hearing her hello and her Dayo's still made me tear up
She had a golden heart and it more or less broke mine when she was harassed. As for subhumans that harassed her ; Gods right is to forgive , mine is to remember.
Forgiveness is for those that deserve it, those twitter freaks never deserve it
They, of course, claim 'oh, we never harassed anyone, it was those evil bigots who were masquerading as us'.
They are the sorts of people who will pee on you and tell you it's raining with a straight face. And then blame you for being peed on in the same breath despite them having gone out of their way to do this.
They are already breaking God's Laws by being freaks, they will pay for it.
Always remember that when you ask what Jesus would do, getting out the bullwhip is always on the table.
@@Solidaritas1 Like your literally shaming people for their body type and voice 😂 like I said your the problem your the one making it weird. Just let people be themselves bro 🤣🤣🤣
@@jonathan45732 People definitely weird for calling someone as pedo just bcz they got small Vtuber model but you know how few Humans quite a retard and not able to tell the difference between reality and fiction, should make people understand fiction but not normalized these loli culture as It's one of the starter of actual Child Preds
Those who scream the loudest tend to have the most to hide. How many loli haters have been outed for going after actual children? Far too many for my liking.
Hits me particularly hard because Pikamee was one of my first vtubers. Amazing video!
u did this video justice
For those curious about Monoe, she's doing alright as 烏星 Ebosi and could always use some love, even if she caused her own termination.
People claiming she was never harassed and that the whole leave was planned miss one critical thjng: Even in a new form she still never streamed hogwarts legacy. She absolutely at the very least was harassed into canceling that stream and potential engagement forever to the point she dared not even try it again. This cannot be denied.
I didnt even realize Henya was Pika.........it all makes so much sense now xD
Wonderful work dayo!
Thank you! Cheers!
i still remember the first clip as "henya" i saw
at the time vtubers multi IPs was so rare i had to quadruple check
it genuinely brought me joy
Great Video! I’ve been watching Henya for more than a month and I had no idea!!!
Good video. The upside of all this was Pipkin Pippa playing the dreaded 'Wizard game', and VShojo gaining a charming new member.
Yeah, it's just unfortunate how Pippa's stream ended on that game, basically her PC wasn't handling it well and the game crashed at the point of reaching the Ravenclaw dorms along with some serious frames issues right before if I remember correctly.
@@Alex20114 Yeah, the goblins got her computer :)
She’s like a pure and innocent child.
Great video and I am happy for henya that she found happiness.
She such a cheerful and great person.
Very well put together! Loved the part where you mentioned Henya slipping up and cut in all the clips of "huh?" and "what?". Love CalebCity, btw!
I had no idea her graduation had already been planned before the Hogwarts drama wtf
Also, love how she accidentally said dayo in her debut like her past was supposed to be kept a secret and it just flew straight out the window immediately
Yea that lasted like 3 days lol. She kept trying to stop herself and gave up really quick
I am totally not pikamee, dayo!
That's not true, it was officially stated that her graduation was planned but if you actually research it was obvious that, that statement was just to take the heat off. She was planning on more streams and said as much before the hogwarts stuff happened its evident that she was not going to leave at the time.
@@lackofreason722What you said could be true, but in hindsight there were several factors which indicated that she was already planning to leave:
1) VOMs had announced a popup store in Shibuya quite early in 2023, then later revealed that it was going to include Pikamee graduation merch after she made the announcement.
I will never forget what they did to her.... however I'm so glad she's ok now... thank you for this video
"Did I say "dayo" ? ...oh shit"
Some things can't be fixed even with the massivest of brains, being a natural PON is one of them
Another thing that made the Hogwarts Legacy drama upsetting is the author herself had 0 involvement with the project.
Can't let pesky things like facts and common sense get in the way of activism.
@@Superluigi881 and not the good kind of activism
I've been hearing some things with gaming and some supposed DEI consultant companies with a few too many connections with media and the like pulling shenanigans on developers who don't subscribe to their services. Judging by the posts that Rima showed on screen for the supposed 'transphobic' posts...? I'm more inclined to believe there was actually a thing going on there with the DEI consultancies, because it does indeed seem like there was a stretch to make those posts sound a bit more transphobic than they were
Unfortunately, JK Rowling's writing and considerations were plenty terrible enough with that series that got her into fame, that you can find things that make it sound like she was being subtly racist and the like despite her supposed inclusivity.
Jk actually being progressive can seriously help in clearing things up and helping others see the truth. Can you at least summarize the video so I can see if she’s actually progressive or not?
Our Number One Kettle
In the deepest despair of "Its so over", have we found the ultimate reaches of "WE'RE SO BACK" - These stories are always lovely, and Im glad there more prevalent in the vtuber scene
You left off her Bond with ZEEEENNNNNNNNN 😂
I have never been into vtubers in general, but I've been watching Henya for years in both her incarnations. She's just such a delight.
I'm happy she's doing a lot better now.
I used to love her Tomato friend (the red haired girl), a Japanese vtuber who didn't know much English and wanted to practice English, so they'd sometimes stream together in broken English with some hilarious results, Pikamee was clearly good friends with her
Some commenters here are saying she streams as "ebosi" nowadays, might wanna check that one out if you haven't already.
@@Pawtacle That's a different one from their gen, the redhead is Tomoshika, who is still active with VOMS last I checked.
You can't help but wish Henya all the best. One of the most wholesome people around, and it's fantastic to see that she's growing more and more confident as time goes by. Thanks for the fantastic video, Rima~!!
She’s so special
Henya is such a great person and it has been a real adventure to follow her journey as a Vtuber.
Seeing her older model is making me emotional.
Henya is one the most wholesome and kind Vtubers out there and how matter what she will always be our genius kettle girl giving us hope and laughter. This video was awesome Rima and thank you dayo.
I will never forgive twitter, but Im so happy that Henya is living her best life.
For what they did to her, I will never forgive
Henya is one of the very few with that so-called special aura. It's no coincidence that she is the oshi of some of the most famous VTubers around. She deserves the world.
I actually didn’t know Pikamee until the Harry Potter drama . I realized she’s a absolute national treasure that has to be protected from the evil of Twitter
Edit/ 10:00 ironically, i looked into who she was after that Lily stream and “Lily talks about Pikame graduating “ video
“Truly, you are as beautiful as the day I lost you…”
Henya's comeback made me bawl. The start of the we are so back era
That Phase X Henya Collab holds dear in the hearts of people
I really got drawn into VTubing largely because of 2 things: Asmongold reacting to Mouse singing and Pippa - particularly as she started standing up to what was happening to Pikamee - Silvervale... because they dared to think about playing the wizarding game.
"culture war" bullshit should stay out of hobbies I think. All it does is bring vitriol.
Henya is best kettle with the best boing boing!
She was really the first vtuber who really had me hooked. There’s just something about Henya that just both silly and entertaining.
And to all those haters; "WHAT, NOW!?"
I knew you had potential!
