- What if there was a Minecraft server with no rules set to hardcore mode? That's exactly what I did. I ran a HARDCORE Minecraft server with NO RULES for 6 months, or 13,000 Minecraft days, and I'm going to show you all the insane things that have happened on this server, all with my voice. Yep, that's me talking in this video for the first time ever. Not a friend, that's me.

Also I wanna apologize for the bad audio. I edit videos, and I've literally never edited audio or recorded any on my own, not to mention it was done during me moving houses meaning a lot of objects being moved in causes acoustics to change rapidly, and since I'm inexperienced, the audio is a bit inconsistent. I think the audio gets better closer to the end though.
I also really wanted to get captions out by launch, but it'll come in a few days later, sorry!

It’s also a big ref to 2b2t
it’s actually a great story that the first person to go for the egg died and the person he saved was the one to actually execute the mission. Great server and a great video. Good idea all around
Anarchy servers often have interesting stories like this. Its merely that without permadeath, they are more about the items or the wars or the excessively big obsidian arts than it is about something more human than one player deciding against simply slaying in opportunity and instead saving another, and then inadvertently passing on his torch to them when they fell.
2B2T has its own wonderful stories. But the stories of this server likely have their own share of incredible moments, even if they hit in a different way than 2B2T's.
It sounds cool on paper but I know I'll be one of the people who just gets murdered randomly 15 minutes in.
@@masterblaster2678 not main character moment
Ah yes, the melon. A mainstay food source on anarchy servers. It's almost heartwarming that on servers where the whole purpose is to show change, creation and destruction, the one thing that has stayed the same is the melon.
9:50 When there’s a will, there’s a way. The reason they make this stuff is because the server has enough people for their work to be truly appreciated, but not big enough for it to be griefed immediately

Love to see the channel growing like this! I always did wonder how an anarchy hardcore server would play out
I always liked the idea of hardcore anarchy servers. Most servers, when you kill somebody, they just come back and it becomes an endless battle. But in a hardcore anarchy server, when they die, they're gone from the server. It really turns into a true survival experience where people have to be smart. Of course, you have to be smart normally, but here's it's not a suggestion, but a requirement.
My heart melted for the melom ring and spawn cafe. And my heart broke for spawn cafe grieves and other beautiful bases that got grieved. And my heart felt a moment of victory for the ender base that was made grief proof.
I joined the server just to see what it's like, then noticed I can't move in water, turned off all cheats but still got banned for sprint-jumping across water (there were stones in the water that I jumped on) and falling down even one block seemed to have a 25% chance of kicking me. Heck, I couldn't even look around (without moving) sometimes without being rubberbanded to where I looked before.
But why is it that all anarchy servers (except Simpcraft) have movement problems in water?
Just joined the server. It's an awesome idea, and I hope it lasts long enough to get some history of its own.
it recently celebrated its 1 year anniversary!

Great vid, excellent format, kept me strapped in for the whole ride. Excited to see the next one!
This was so entertaining to watch. I can't wait for the history to be made. wars that actually have consequences and bases that are worth to protect. I really hope this idea will stick around and will become big.
This server is going to go big
well actually on 2b2t would be where there are bases worth protecting because there would be beds and resources there while here it would be much better to not have a base because you would have people constantly trying to grief it so it would be better to just move on
@@androk. yeah, it's extremely convenient to not have a base, but resources are still required to be saved in the world besides ender chest, so is 50/50
@@Check_001 You make a very good point. However on a hardcore server I'd suggest that we set up several stashes of resources scattered around the map, rather than one big base we might die defending. We'd keep our rare or irreplaceable items in the e-chest, and keep stashes of resources/food around the map.
If one, or even a bunch, get found and raided... Then it's a good thing we set up several, and it's minecraft, resources and food sources are functionally limitless.
@@androk. I'd probably make a base that is below ground, far enough that the furnace noise or torch noises are not hearable or readable in the subtitles. Put a dirt block above the ladder whenever I leave. Is it unfindable? No. Someone might see the dirt block before grass grows on it and check what's below. Someone might even accidently stumble upon it while mining randomly below ground. But I think this is probably the safest you can be as far as bases go. If you build it in the middle of the ocean, they still find it (in the video: 19:02). If you build it in the sky, hackers are flying all around the fricking world, they'll see it eventually. Sooo, you're gonna have to go below ground and hope no one stumbles upon it.
There is also the inconvenience factor of riding down and up a long ladder and digging and placing a dirt block whenever you enter or leave, but you have to pay that price if you want a base that is hard to find by lifeless jerks who only get their kicks by ruining the game for others.

I feel so bad for players who got grieved. The griefers just grief them for the fun of it and not for any actual purpose.
yeah, but no rules is well no rules
@@The_Horizon true
As a player of anarchy servers who doesn't grief bases, I hard disagree with this take. Griefing is an incredibly important aspect of servers that adds an unparalleled sense of urgency and dedication towards builders. Every time I step into an anarchy server with the intention to build, my projects always end up bigger and better than anything else I've ever made. The pressure of knowing that anyone who finds it is going to destroy it, and the idea that I could build something amazing despite these odds, is definitely a mindset that is shared by most dedicated anarchy players that could never be replicated in a world with no griefing.
@@psychopathicporo You make a great point, but losing something made from hardwork must still hurt.
@@fentrai1942 well one thing about most famous griefers is that they usually respect the work that they're griefing. To give an example, probably the most famous griefer of all time is FitMC. When he finds a base and griefs it, he creates videos and takes screenshots and immortalizes the build that was griefed. A lot of griefers do the same thing, taking and sharing screenshots of the place and uploading them onto wikis and whatnot.
Being griefed is a two sided coin. You lose your progress, but the progress that you did make is finally public to everyone forever.

How hard would it be to play without cheats? I've been kind of interested in anarchy servers for a while but the cheating aspect is intimidating. Personally I don't want to use cheats since in my opinion it defeats the whole purpose of playing
as long as you avoid people, you should be fine haha
I'd say the purpose of a anarchy server is pretty different than pretty much any other type of server.
@@casey8898 I consider playing with cheats in multiplayer(wall hacks, aimbot, auto attackers, fly hacks, etc.) to be scummy in most contexts. Also it seems unfun anyway since you're not even playing the game at that point.
I just don't want to experience the game that way nor do I want to ruin it for others
@@kingofpigs6630 oh trust me, in an anarchy server, cheats merely become a tool which you have to master before you can really play; when the entire server's equipped with a hacked client, it all depends on how well you can use each module
in anarchy servers, cheats don't ruin the fun at all, so don't worry about it
The spawn cafe was a very wholesome thing for an anarchy server. This sever sounds great.

Great vid, man, this was a really cool project to learn about. I might join up once I get my pc working again.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using a third party host to host an anarchy server, most big anarchy servers have their own hardware, and for good reason.
To help protect against backdoors and detect them early, unless you were hausemaster xDDDD
at the scale of 2b2t, a server which is clear to last for many years it makes sense to get your own hardware, since of course since it requires a large initial investment for hardware, and you need all the technical knowledge to set it up, which is difficult for the average person

This is a great video. I really like the usage of motion tracking and visual compositing in the introduction (How does that even work? That's such a cool effect.) as well as the way in which the video was organized into segments.
Keep it up!
I used a shader pack that captures depth (ruclips.net/video/nakyctgYDM8/видео.html&t) and rendered a version with it and without it, and used that map to overlay text underneath it. The funny thing was that I actually made these intros in vegas pro before I swapped to premiere, and I was using vegas pro 16 which meant no proper motion tracking, so I had to manually track it. Was a bit painful, but the result looks automatically tracked! The original version of this video was not segmented, and was just all over the place, so I decided to segment it.
Great video, the time spent on remaking it has really paid off! And the mystery dungeon soundtracks just fit so well haha

I have a lot of respect for this youtuber. Thank you for spreading awareness of p2w being a thing in minecraft

It was being pointed out as "pay to win" and I didn't realize how at the time until the owner and such started saying how they could get more money out of people playing their server. They even went as far as bashing on hypixel and other servers all because of this one youtuber.

If you want to quickly remove any kind of entity from an area, you're going to have to get the entity ID (the signs in your case) and replace them with air (0).
