- So a week after Big Bad Bethesda took away all our favorite blueprint workarounds, they gave them back! And if you didn't already know how to build a round base blueprint, I'm going to show you. It takes less than 10 minutes to build and requires only basic foundations and floors! Use it to build a greenhouse, UFO, and more!

Just a quick follow-up: someone mentioned that @Jug originally came up with the round blueprint way back in 2018 - I had no clue, so thanks for letting me know! And thanks, Jug, for sharing this amazing technique with us all!
Forgot to add this in the video, but if you need space to create this blueprint, the easiest way is to just grab a workshop like Tyler County or Wade Airport. Both of those have huge flat areas that are ideal for this.
As a tip for console players, it helps to extend the cross shape foundation at the beginning by one, but still put the doorway on the second foundation from the middle. That way, you dont get the prompt "part of the camp would be inaccessible."

I struggled a little bit placing the Blueprint as it says "structure is floating" even though it seems it can be placed. After mashing the Place button and moving around a couple of seconds, it was placed just as you explained. Thanks for the video!!!

also good lookin out! people hate on the devs quite a bit. remember the "food glitch?" whenever i tried to eat stuff fast, like not even spam fast, my game would freeze. it got fixed last update and i can once again chug stuff real fast! thankyou!

Also noticed when I redid my wallpaper, I didn't have to remove everything off the walls first. It all stayed there! Wires, paintings, lights, a clock, didn't get deleted when I put up new wallpaper! Hope it's a fix and not a glitch.
If you just change wallpaper everything stays; adding or removing it is what strips your walls bare. I always put up any random wallpaper when I'm building (usually the first in my list, which is the wood paneled one), then change it to what I want later on.

I'm just trying this now and was wondering if anyone had issues with getting the structure within the borders of your camp build area? Whether I'm in free cam or not, I can't pull it close enough to get it within that limited area.

Do you have any tips on placing back down the blueprint? I’m certain I’m on the flattest part of land I can find at the white springs but I’m spending more time trying to place the print than I am actually building everything. Loved your video, very informational and to the point ❤️❤️
The blueprints are definitely difficult to place down. What works for me is to pull it up so it's sticking almost half a foundation above the ground, hold the rotate button so it's spinning the whole time, and spam the place button until it places. It needs some height for some reason. Try slight adjustments to the height until you get it.

no matter what I try I can never get the round blueprint to place, its perfectly level and lined up but it always says its floating no matter where I try it, no matter how I try to spin it or jiggle it around in the placing menu it just wont let me place it, watched Mr churches video and he does it very similar to the way u do and it still dosent work for me

The ground needs to be pretty flat. Also keep rotating it and try some different heights. Basically when I place one, I hold down on rotate and spam the place button until it goes down.

how do you put the roofs
I know this is an older video now but ive watched your newer one and this makes more sense to me, everytime i make the blueprint and go to put it back down im always missing exactly 1 wall? And it wont place and im thinking thats why, any ideas? Remade it 6 times now its exhausting

I still can't do it right, always struggled with things like this but wanted to try again lately and saw your video. honestly best one out of alot of them. welp guess keep trying till i get it maybe

Yeah, it's slightly more complicated but it works. I'll do a thing on that.
Can you share that blueprint with roofs? I have a few round ones but the small ones when you have to move foundations and not they way you showed. I’m old with no depth perception. So the way yo I do it has never worked!

It's basically possible, but you have to use roofs for floors. The Enclave and asbestos roofs are my favorite for floors, but the regular base game ones also look great, as well as the green log cabin pieces.

Happy to help! You'll have to use the flamethrower trap to destroy the roofs so you can overlap them, but it looks pretty good when it's done!
Would have been nice to add Jug Gaming to your video who came up with the idea in 2018 to build round buildings.

Been trying for 2 hours to make this, simply does not work
Could you please show us how to make a multi level round structure? I basically just followed this build, but did 2 walls high, but I'd love to place a staircase, and have upper floors with no gaps. I suppose it could work with roof pieces and a flamer trap, but I'm not sure how to do it. Thank you!
I'm no longer making videos, but your guess is correct - roofs and a flamer trap will do the trick. Use catwalks extending from a wall to place a staircase (remove the catwalk after). If you're not sure how to do the roofs, I did a video on that here ruclips.net/video/OCl175bFaUc/видео.html
How do you delete the bottom to create a flying saucer 🛸 effect look?
You can delete floors or walls from under doorways, so that'll do it.
I made the blueprint but cannot put it down as: “cannot place item: selected item is floating”.
Anyone know how to resolve?
Experiment with the height when you're trying to place it (it needs to be pretty high above the ground, almost half a foundation if the terrain is flat), hold the rotation button so it stays spinning, and spam the place button while it rotates. Eventually it will place.
What do you do if you want a smaller circle?
Those are a little tricky, depending on the size you want. I'll do a tutorial soon!
its gonna look weird, but you can try to place a wall on a double foundation...... same method
Amazing video love the content! I’m on ps5 & I’m trying to start out this method with 2tiles making a X but when I try taking out the last tile like u say before placing doorways it tells me can’t remove part cause it will cause part to be inaccessible I don’t understand I did exactly what u did? Did they patch this?
It hasn't been patched. Are you working on a bit of a slope? That can cause problems with removing other pieces of the foundation.

ive remade the blueprint 4x and every time it tells me it cant place it because something is floating.
I've tried this about 20 times today and I always have one wall that won't line up with the others and can't attach a foundation to the outside. Any tips to fix that?

Do you mean you want the roofs to be part of the blueprint? Yeah, that's more than you can fit into one blueprint. I do have a trick for that but it's hard to explain in just text. I was thinking of adding that to a longer video, but I may do a short one for just that instead.

I didn't yet, sorry! But basically you put up slanted roofs every third or fourth wall going around (as close as it will let you), break them with the flamer trap, put roofs next to those (overlapping), break those, continue til it's all covered, then repair. You'll do the same for the inner ring. You can change them to flat after if you prefer. Hope that makes sense!

Using the same principles, how small can you go? In theory, octogon shouldn’t be too hard to fanagle.. i love castellian design so this is going to be my most used/shared video if not top 5 👏
An octagon is pretty easy, I've seen hexagons as well but never built one myself.
The building system on this game makes me want to drive unwashed syringes into my neck. Great tutorial, but couldn't place it in the end thanks to the "floating" prompt.
Can you make a half circle with this technique?
Sort of. You have to place the whole circle down and then remove the extra parts you don't want.
I still can’t blueprint the single metal post on a mat. The two shorter ones stacked on top of each other, no problem but not the single one 🤷♀️
Yeah, every column blueprint has been disabled for quite a while, except the two stacked short ones with a floor object. It's a little annoying, and just adds extra steps every time you need to put a column in a normal place.

i got this made all until the blueprint part :( its so far away i cant get it placed back down. any tips?
Hold down the place button and you'll be able to move the blueprint toward you with R1/L1, RB/LB, or I think the mouse wheel on PC. That'll bring it close enough to be able to place. When you get it in range, you'll want to elevate it so that almost half the foundation is sticking up above the ground, keep it rotating, and spam the place button til it places.

Play around with the height (it does best on super flat ground, and with the foundations almost half a story above ground level), and keep it rotating while you spam the placement button. They're fiddly.

i,ma be real. not only did i lurn the whole round trick. but HOW LONG HAVE U BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT WITH THE FLOORS!? i feel like thats been a thing for a while now but i didnt know about it.

Where is this place ur building at?
This spot is on the Whitespring golf course. If you fast travel to the Golf Club, turn to the south right when you spawn in. Head along the road there and down the hill; at the bottom of the hill is this lovely stretch of flat smooth green!

You may have to raise it up a bit; it doesn't like being placed too close to the ground. And try rotating it as well. Sometimes it's picky about the exact positioning.
