Hi Seth, can review the best credit cards to use for stored value top-ups eg starbucks, coffee bean, simply go, etc? Thanks much and keep up the good work :)
Depends on amount and whether the hotel allows you to split the payments. If they accept paywave, you can consider $2,000 per month to UOB Visa Signature. With your spouse it is possible to do $4,000 per month. Probably should check in the Telegram since others would have more experience with wedding banquets than I do: sethisfy.com/telegram
No StanChart Spree? Gives 2% on all Local Contactless, Online and Mobile spend, and 3% for Online Spend in Foreign Currency. No Min Spend and total cashback capped at $30 per statement month. I think it's a great card for mopping up spends that are: a) in categories usually excluded for other cards (e.g. utilities (SP Group) and mobile plan (Circles)) b) above the optimal point on my other higher cashback cards c) during months where I primarily use vouchers and won't be able to hit min spends on my higher cashback cards
I generally don’t cover cards that are closed to new applications. 2% is also quite a raw deal since 4 miles per dollar cards are readily available because even cashback users can encash 4 mpd at slightly above 2% quite easily. But yeah if you really don’t want to deal with miles Spree is quite fuss-free I suppose.
Yes can but UOB One card min spend is $500 and UOB EVOL min spend is $600. Hitting either card’s min spend can hit UOB One account’s $500 spend requirement. Why split across two cards?
@@Sethisfy well, I think I can use evol on contactless and online spend. Since other categories, evol offers 0.3, maybe I will spend via uob one card. This way I can also hit the 500 spend. Not sure if this make sense
UOB EVOL needs to hit $600 to get its high earn rate. UOB One needs to hit $500 to get its 3.33% earn rate. You spend $400 on EVOL and $200 on UOB One card you will get your UOB One account interest. But you won’t get any good cashback for either UOB EVOL or UOB One. Just stick to one of them
@@Sethisfy true. Thank you for your response. What will you recommend for someone who roughly spends 1k per month. Pairing with evol card. Evol card (600) 250 contactless (8%), 250 online spend (8%), 100 others (0.3%)
Hi Seth, which card will you recommend for gym membership (mindbody app, merch code 7997) to maximise miles? $600 (every qtr) or $1.4K (bi annual) note: not able to split purchase Thanks!

I like the journey card. Because for the bonus category. Like fair price apps, Kopitiam, online food, grab will be 3 miles.
Yeah I kinda forgot about that. But you can get 4 miles per dollar quite easily on those
able to do an updated one?

Maybe you can include OCBC Voyage card in your future rankings?
Thanks for your suggestion
How abt posb everyday card? Is it useful?
Hi Seth, thanks for the video! Which cards would you recommend for wedding banquet payments?

erm just asking is the trust card of any use now ?
Hi, Seth. Just wondering how you buy air ticket with ppv card? Online spending is whitelist for ppv I think and travel related is not in the list.
Yeah PPV shouldn’t use for online air tickets. Use UOB Lady’s or DBS Woman’s World Mastercard.
I use hsbc revolution for air tickets (buy from airlines website).
Which card gives you free lounge access plus one guest?

Ocbc voyage?
Generally I think it is an unexciting card that only makes sense if the sign-up promo is good
Hi Seth, why do you say use Amex True cashback over UOB absolute since the former is 1.5% (after 6months) and absolute is 1.7%?
UOB Absolute dropped its cashback rate for many categories it was previously useful for to just 0.3%: t.me/sethisfying/1278
@@Sethisfy Thank you for the reply. Wasn't aware that True allows 1.5% on education and insurance. Shall cancel my Absolute and switchover!
Hi Seth, is your Minstant AppStore link broken?
I just tried it and it seems to work. Are you accessing it from iPhone/iPad?
@@Sethisfy Hi, managed to install the app using your link. I think it's my browser.
Thanks for the support! Hope you find the app useful
What cards would you recommend for students who just graduated from University?
You can start with the resources here: sethisfy.com/cards
Generally I would say either UOB EVOL or UOB Preferred Platinum Visa can be good places to start.
I see, thank you!
What is your opinion on the Amex Platinum Credit Card? Is it a decent card to own?
It’s a smaller version of the Platinum Charge Card. Have to calculate whether you will use its perks and benefits, most of which aren’t that exciting
@@Sethisfy I see, I’m still calculating and finding it tough to come to a conclusion
if u hold uob one and uob evol card, does the 2 card spend stack together? for the min spend 500 for uob one account criteria

@@Sethisfy thanks Seth, may I check if it's easy to waive off annual fee for DBS WWMC thus far?
DBS is usually quite easy
Grab card? Tier 6? lol
