How much total drive time do you get for a half day?

It depends if the group you are in has fast drivers. Its a lead follow with 4 cars behind the instructor and 2 drivers per car. Our group was fast so each of us got 2 laps immediately behind the instructor for the first rotations - 8 laps before the driver switch. The drivers in the switch weren't as fast so they only got 1 lap each behind the instructor. So total ride time in the M5 was 13 laps including the initial warm up recon lap in the first rotation. If you are in a slow group, your instructor will let faster groups pass.
For a half day with the driver group we were in we got 13 laps in both the M5 and M3 sessions. Which equates to about 25-30 min of drive time per car.
The autocross is 4 timed laps lasting about 20 seconds each. The drag race is 1/8th mile pulls through various M cars.

Did BMWUSA allow use of camera? How did you mount it?

Yes, they encourage cameras. Gopro on panavise 809 suction mount. Mounted to center info screen.
