@@garethrecio3621 JYP has often said he picks members based off of personality to avoid these situations because either way he gets brought into these scandals in a negative way. It’s a double edged sword. I still say JYPE is one of the best.
I remember telling a girl in 6th grade “you won’t make it far in life” because she didn’t want to do her math homework and made her cry. I still regret until this day. I can’t imagine someone calling me out about that like 10 years later...

Honestly, you are monster with no empathy. 9 years ago I was also bullied. Do you think that now I forgot everything? No. I have all of these situations in my head till now, how people made fun of me or how I've got beaten. I was thinking that I'm worthless and I had suicidal thoughts. It's not something that just go away. I feel so bad to people that have been bullied by Hyunjin, cause they could have trauma plus people like you who thinks it's not such a big deal. She talked about everyone being tough and immature. So hyunjin was not the only one. But I hope he is doing well

Yeah she stated that everyone in the classroom were tense as they were in a tense environment so everyone said things they didn’t mean but hyunjin never bullied anyone and even one of hyunjins friends from then stood by him

I honestly don’t believe he did anything. I feel that jyp made him write the letter and meet up with old classmates to apologize, when he really didn’t have to apologize for anything. 1. Because jyp is known for trying to keep reputation, so of course they’re going to try to “fix” things even when they are wrong. 2. Hyunjins ex teacher even said himself that the students weren’t very well behaved and kind with their words, so it’s on the behalf of the teacher for not putting a stop to it and letting it pass. It’s my own opinion that I really want to believe, because I know that jyp is a horrible company... but hyunjin had to do what he had to do to “put an end to things”. Which I’m sure won’t stop after this because of all the hate skz are getting from k-stays. Anyways #savehyunjin!!

i just started to listening to stray kids and I came across this. I was so shocked. also, i came across many articles and posts that were about Highschool bullying in S.Korea which was really horrifing as it included extreme physical and mental assault so i was a little concerned but thanks for clearing this up that it were just some petty teenage fights which we all have been through we don't have to necessarily like everyone we go to school with.

He was young and these things happen.. And the fact he apologized and took the punishment (although in my opinion is quite excessive) it shows character.. In my opinion instead of putting down the idol in his own company he could've gone in a better more mature route.. Like say, I apologize in behalf of my idols mistake we have contacted the (victim) and had apologized and reached a certain conclusion.. Things had happened at his yound age and we do not take that lightly but as humans we make mistakes we own up to it try to fix it and be better next time and that's what we aim to do...

Well, he only apologized now that it came to the public's knowledge. In fact, he is only apologizing for his career. If he is really a good person this should have concluded long ago by apologizing personally to the victim.
@@prettychelsea223 and @Nana Princess although there's truth to what you've said.. You have to consider his environment at that time as his teacher has stated.. The allegations was with him in an argument and not bullying, and through the arguments he had said things and I'm sure the other party had done the same... I doubt that you're clear in this aspect, so have a bit of empathy. When you argued with someone you go through this process of just wanting to attack since you too are being attacked, and then when the argument ends and all had been said at times you have regrets in what you've said but it's more likely you don't apologize since in you're mind you too was hurt and you just move on.. But I guess if the grudge lasted that long, he acknowledged it and apologized..

I personally feel like people do get into arguments. And we do say something when we are mad. We are humans it's natural. We are not saint. Hyunjin apologized incase if he hurted someone's feeling. That's is part of growing up. Poor thing went through a lot. People should realise that bullying and having an argument is different. They are just trying to ruin someone's career. I've been bullied but that's behind me now. Even if I saw my bullies today I'm not gonna go out of my way to expose. Folks always want folks to apologize but then don't wanna forgive. But then they act like they can never apologize either. Why wait til he's at his peak and is an adult. Its like being an idol is more of a privilege then it is a chance. I am watching SKZ videos and this was recommended to me. Looking back this is really a hard time for Stays. I'm just proud that while there's really no bullying, HJ apologize about hurting someone even if not intentionally. Also, I'm proud of stays because there's more Stays that understand that someone was hurt and we don't have any right to invalidate their feelings even if the issue was when they're kids. (though there's still a lot of toxic fans that is trying to make things worse). Really, most stays accepted the hiatus and waited patiently. It was worth it at the end. Hj and op (the one who posted their experience) were able to clear everything at last. I'm so happy for op and I hope their not hurting anymore and hope they're doing well.

Bullying is serious, and affects people for many years later, maybe lifetime. But, making false accusations against someone is the worst type of bullying. I've read a few articles and conversations, and couldn't see any tangable evidence of anything serious other than teenage angst, which is common. I also don't want to discredit anyone for coming out and telling their side of the story either, but be sure your story holds truth.

There was no evidence which basically means he never had to apologise it was his shitty company that made him apologise Jyp (entertainment) clearly didn’t protect him like they said they would as he got blinding lights shot in his eyes by toxic “fans” and Hyunjin was clearly unhappy and uncomfortable since that situation Hyunjin isn’t a bad person but we all did poor stuff when we were at that age
Right. Company's treatment is different with Hyunjin. Many things happened with him but he didn't get support from company. There was also some issue circulating about Hyunjin's security provided by JYPE. It's just that the most honest and innocent/naive person thinks that other people are good like him but not everyone is good.
I think JYP needs some treatment. They're constantly pissing fans off. Let's continue to support Idols who work hard but don't get enough credits.

Im disappointed that some people spread rumors as a way to intimidate others and gain status or popularity. But spreading rumors as a way to turn people against someone is a form of bullying - and it can have serious consequences for the person doing it.
Spreading unkind gossip in person or online is not a decent or mature way to act. It hurts the person being talked about, and it intimidates other people.
Sadly, when other people see this kind of thing going on, they don't always stand up for what's right. They may become less friendly to the person who is being talked about because they're afraid of becoming the next target. It doesn't mean they don't care. In fact, seeing someone else getting bullied makes other people feel bad. Bullying is like meanness pollution. It affects everyone in the environment.
We don't have to be good friends with everyone - or even like everyone. But not liking another person doesn't give someone the right to spread rumors, gossip, or putdowns. Acting like this shows a lack of courage. It's a false way to gain popularity or status in the group.
Real popularity comes from feeling comfortable with ourselves. People who are truly well liked treat everyone with respect and fairness. They don't put other people down or try to gain power by having "followers." They're confident and sure of themselves, so they don't have to resort to this kind of behavior.

I am satisfied with both the opinions that were done buy jype and what u said, jype cuz they weren't hv that time and they knew that if they would go in a fight or argument with hakwoo they would hv gotten many HATE comments and till that time they. And if they even try to take time and discuss even in that time ppl would think that they r going for the wrong opinion we would hv u uderstood by they won't.

I have a question: I read about people who are signing petitions that Hyunjin leaves Stray Kids and that JYP is thinking about this or something like this and now I saw many tiktoks where Stays said that they miss Hyunjin and that they hope he's doing well so my question is if he is still in stray kids or did I miss something because I didn't see anything where they said he left or something like that please tell me I want to know what's going on
Well stays are probably saying that because he is taking a break right now. As in, some of his activities have been cancelled. Which is normal in kpop. But let's see.
He’s not leaving. Petitions go around every few weeks about different members of the group. It’s a joke at this point. The important thing to recognize here is that JYPE listens to the targeted audience of their artist. A massive portion on skz following comes from the U.S. Europe, and surprisingly Russia. Most skz followers (stays) have been flooding comment sections with support for HJ, as this situation is very clearly petty and could have been handled in private. They don’t have a big Korean following, that’s one of the reasons why they are doing Kingdom. A LOT of antis are going to attack this situation since skz international following makes them a threat to whatever group the anti stans. Comparing to their audience the Han situation was way worse than this, and Han is still here and everything got back to normal for a small moment. Bulling is a huge issue in Korea right now, and unfortunately a lot of people are crying wolf. It’s important to remember that his apology was not an admission to being a bully (which was proven false) but an apology for hurting the feeling of his middle school classmate and leaving the situation unresolved for so long, and then an apology for his supporters for the confusion of the whole situation. Accountability and Karma are two very huge concepts in Korean culture that is harder for international stays to understand because we operate under more of a “be and let be, the past is the past,” mindset. Also...The last paragraph on JYPE’s statement sounds much harsher in English than in Korean. They weren’t really targeting HJ in that statement but trying to shut down the numerous amount of localized hate they were getting the night before because JYPE had multiple artists accused. It was more of a “we are going to make more of an effort to insure the artists we bring in are of sound character so that rumors like this are not an issue.” They could have phrased it much better, but I don’t think it was intending to put HJ down, more so just to shut the anti group up for a bit and ease concerns. In English it sounds very bland but in Korean it’s more structurally separated from the rest of the statement and is a blanketed stance to cover many issues. The best we can do as Stays is to stream skz videos, build their numbers up to prove that this situation did not affect the following they already have, and vote for them on Kingdom. Hopefully we can collectively as a stay community push skz back up to the top and bring them some happiness.

It is unclear exactly what happened and what was said. If JYP has evolved in his speech or if he has treated several cases differently, it may simply be because they are not the same thing. It is true that knowing exactly what happened would have made it possible to avoid negative speculation or, on the contrary, to seek to minimize the facts to exonerate Hyunjin.
The problem is not the allegations, it’s the companies giving power to them by pulling their artists off and giving the rumours power. These companies should protect their artists based on their current self not their past. The boy did not commit any crimes so what’s the problem.

So basically any disgruntled individual can make up lies to try to ruin an idol's career. This guy sounds like he was jealous of Hyunjin's success and wanted to take him down. The way I see it, Huyunjin spoke up against a school bully. Hyunjin may be savage in his dance and singing but he comes across as a very gentle and sensitive soul in real life. The Knetizens should leave him alone - I'm pretty sure the majority of these people have done many wrongs in their lives but it just seems the Knetizens are one big bullying group.
