    For anyone having trouble getting their topology to look nice, a good trick i discovered is to disable the subsurf modifier temporarily and fix the geometry while looking at the low poly model by using edge sliding! hope this helps anyone else who might have been having issues

    • @pauldriggere8300
      @pauldriggere8300 Год назад

      Is there any chance you could provide a video of how you did that? I've tried this tutorial so many times and I just don't get the vertices exactly as needed for the mouth. =(

    • @vixiliannebrightsun81
      @vixiliannebrightsun81 Год назад +3

      Can’t make a video but in order to edge slide pick the vert you wanna edit and jsut double tap the G button! As far as turning off the modifier just click the little computer screen icon on the modifier to temporarily disable it :)

      @@vixiliannebrightsun81 No matter what I do, even keeping the mesh as quad as I can...I just never get the vertices exact.

    this is a great tutorial thats helping me figure out sculpting even better then the doughnut tut. even though its a lot longer, it repeats a lot of things to help drill it into your mind, and the process makes the whole sculpting thing seem less scary. its time consuming, but you dont need to be a genius to do it. the doughnut tut did stuff once and expects you to remember after the video ends, which i dont. this helped me figure out a lot of things i was stumped on. thanks.

    So far this is the best anime 3d modeling tutorial that can stepping stone for modeling harder models.
    Since most 3d modeling tutorials are just "create vertices until you get base shape" which takes AGES to finish and wont teach anyone anything about actual modeling.

    Here is a new type of food I came up with:
    "Fruiti-Pizza"
    A Fruiti-Pizza is a pizza made with a sweet and slightly savory crust, topped with a variety of fruit, such as strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, and mango. The fruit is drizzled with a honey-yogurt sauce and sprinkled with shredded coconut. The pizza is then baked until the crust is crispy and the fruit is warm and juicy. The Fruiti-Pizza can be served as a sweet and healthy breakfast, a refreshing lunch, or a fruity dessert.

    Proportional brush just doesn’t exist. Had to figure out how to select edges and not vertices on my own. I was cackling in awe of the subjective opinion that he thinks it’s simple when he’s spouting each key-bind that doesn’t change the selection mode for you at light speed. mockingly I said “haha I’m (insert name here) I like saying step 1(inserts 20 steps in between reaching step two) is simple here’s step two!” (Proceeds to not explain how he got from step 1 to step two after step 1.13 where he clicked o and magically had the brush tool out and ready to use) “let me scroll my mouse wheel to change the size!” (Meanwhile im pressing the button on my screen and pressing O and no such brush has appeared after spending more than 3 hours looking at this video reiterating steps from 3:00 - 18:03 trying to figure out why my image isn’t doing what he’s saying it should despite putting the inputs in correctly. God this is beyond frustrating to listen to =_= despite all this I am learning but it’s taking a lot longer because either the software changed something since the making of this video or this guy just likes leaving minuet but important details out about how to interact with the software. Informational, but god am I having a hard time following along.

    When I use grab in sculpting, it only seems to want to pull the whole general shape around even if I make the brush smaller, and I can't grab onto the bottom of the face like you do...
    I've followed all the steps properly, it's subdivided and mirrored over the x, the brush just doesn't have as much control as yours, and for some reason refuses to do anything at all when I grab the sides
    Nvm, I ended up deleting the subdivision modifier and putting it back and now it works(????????????) very cringe but I guess I'm happ it's fixed
