I really didn't think there were 5v5 simps that existed, this was never the real Overwatch kiddos. Now sit back and watch as this game becomes playable again.
You know people are allowed to like both... As a support player, I prefer 5v5 because you have a lot more agency and don't have to heal bot. As a tank player, I prefer 6v6 because it is nowhere near as stressful and feels way more natural. Not everything is black and white.
Ow was bad about not having full team coms but I have yet to have any teammates talk in any of my rivals games. Constantly checking settings to make sure it’s not me.
I think marvel rivals is fun because everyone is op it doesn't need team work everybody could play on his own But overwatch is so perfectly balanced that it become a strategic 6v6 shooter who each role has a valid use for the team. Needs perfect teamwork to gain victory Both of them are perfect in my own for their own play styles

If I were to guess, plenty of people don't talk because Blizz is recording voice chat. And I don't care what is the purpouse they claim to do it for. I don't trust it. And even if I did, I don't consider vague statements like "for security" or "for compliance with he rules" a valid reason. If someone insults me, or annoys me, or I just don't want to talk to that person anymore, I can mute, or leave VC altogether. I have plenty options. I don't feel like being recorded every time I speak. So I just don't.
They arent recording it but they are transcribing it IF someone gets reported. most competitive online games do this or worse now including rivals. People don't stop talking in VC because they could be recorded anyway. Its because the community wants to trash talk and say slurs all the time. I know some friends who literally just turned off VC AND Text chat because they can't be arsed with people ruining their experience when they wanna chill out and have fun on the game.

Not really. Most don't talk because they can't be bothered to deal with other people. Getting recorded doesn't mean anything when majority of games and tech in general all records you. Including your phone and computer. What websites you visit, how often you play a game, how often you watch RUclips or Twitch, ect. It's all recorded and accessible to the companies that made it. Your data is being recorded pretty much the second you join the internet.

This recording is then transcribed into text by AI so that humans don't need to be involved and also its more feasible to transcribe with AI. These text files they save, same as the text in text chat is tied to your account. Even if they just recorded it, what are you so scared of lol? oh no they have the audio of me making callouts in a game. what will i do? it's only an issue if you talk about things that you shouldnt in the VC but thats on you. Also anywhere on the internet is literally worse than what you are complaining about. Hell even the comment you left is more intrusive than this system in a game. Yeah the game is definitely a lot more “thinking intensive” in 6v6, where strategy and game sense/knowledge will get you way further than in 5v5. Personally I very much prefer it like that, but I understand why people would prefer the more “just aim well and play on autopilot” shooter-esque gameplay of 5v5.
@@spew42 yeah but its braindead, even at diamond positioning feels like gold in ow1 because the game doesnt punish bad positioning as badly anymore. healers start self healing after what 1 or 2 seconds? even dps self heal now after a while so a cree that is badly positioned can stay there for a few seconds and start healing again. its so stupid. every match these days i see ana players badly positioned but it hardly matters, nade + self heal spam entire game.
You all need to understand. There was never an Overwatch 2. OW 2 was gonna be the game with a Story Mode and Lore. That never happened so OW 2 never happened. Calling this game Overwatch 2 is a joke.

As someone who was a doomfist dps otp in ow1 I actually really like how tank doom feels in 6v6. You feel like more of a beefy dps because you don't have to be everywhere at once and there isn't as much pressure on you to make sure that every dive is valuable. You can dive the sniper or support while the other tank peels for the team and it's so nice. 5v5 feels like you have to be everywhere at once and you're always sacrificing something somewhere to get value somewhere else.
Honestly, they waited too long to bring out the 6v6, I’m gonna play it for a bit because it’s the real ow experience I always wanted, but after it’s over, I’m back on rivals, at least the rivals devs haven’t betrayed the community or released anything that has made the game 10x worse like a format change. I’d rather get invested in a game where the devs care tbh.
