Nice informative video. For me it was a matter of calling into my local Specialized dealer, showing them the old door which was starting to split along the plastic flex hinge and they replaced it for me on the spot with the new spring hinged one. All done under warranty. Who in Specialized ever thought the old door design was a good idea? And for double measure, let’s not put a spring on it! Credit to Specialized though for designing/producing a new one and sorting under warranty. Have to say my Specialized dealer is brilliant. Big shout out to Village Cycles in Richmond, NZ. 😊😊
Did this on my Levo a couple of months back when the old crappy plastic moulded hinge finally gave way. Dead easy, new part is much better design. I'd recommend you change it speculatively for the new part just so you're not left with no door on a wet and muddy day
My EMTB is not a Levo so I shared this great video with him. Most charge port doors seem like an afterthought. This new Levo Chrage Port Door seems like a good upgrade or replacement if yours is broken.
Haha litterly just installed that one a couple days ago. I was thinking it seemed different from the orig one. That spring hinge is pretty sweet. I bought two replacements just in case… Best of luck!
I would be spraying a little acf-50, after cleaning the contacts and all bits with alcohol. This is the one time I am glad to have the OG (with updated cable design) vs the new flip door that breaks if you sneeze on the bike or accidentally move the pedals while open. (the old one just bends out of the way, while not optimal doesn't crack and break) I do agree, with statement below, with all of specialized' s r&d, why is our connector for all of our most crucial connections at the lowest part of the bike, and thus has a 1000% more chance of breakage and contaminants.
Tried to get a hold of the new door back in January, nobody had them. Going to take guess and say they are available now! Just is case, where can I get one?
I’ve managed to pull the cable that goes into the charge port out of the frame (caught on pedal) . It’s to right to push in, do you know how to loosen it so it can be fed back in ?
Nice. The battery is that easy to remove? I'm planning on a levo comp cwrbon now and one of my worries was the non removable battery. Because I store the bine out in cold garage at winter I would like to bring the battery inside my house when it's very cold weather.
@@KB-gu2sc Haha. We just came back here to fix this comment! I realized that Enduro Engineering is the skid plate I put on my Husqvarna dirt bike! 🥴 You are correct, it's Protect eMTB. Good eye.
Anyone had issues with it being hard to plug in after a door replacement. I'm having to push very hard for the cable to make contact. Worked fine with the old door.
Isn’t the real problem the door location? Agree with others who ask why Specialized put it in the worst place possible, with the most exposure to elements and greatest potential for shearing off simply with a pedal stroke.
Didn’t realize battery comes out so easy, dealer said the motor had to be removed to get at the battery (2023 alloy turbo levo comp)? I was going to buy it till he said that about the battery 😢
Mine ripped off a few weeks ago. Have a new one coming. The timing of this video is perfect
Glad to hear it helped n
I dont even own a Levo, I just love watching your videos! Keep up the great work! 🙌🏻
Haha awesome thank you very much!

@@TheLoamWolf oh I forgot to ask. Where do I find that after market skid plate? I need one!
Enduro engineering!

The new alluminium levo on the way, is a new generation one? Something to share in advance?

Do you know if this fix works on the 2nd Gen Levo battery door? 2019-2021ish. Thanks

which year Levo is it? Mine is a 2020 and my door broke, have to duct tape it each ride....would love a new door! Is this the newest gen Levo?
Who makes the aluminum bash guard? (Not the pro-tect one)

What skid plate do you have on bike?
Protect EMTB. It’s pretty sweet
@@TheLoamWolf It says Protect EMTB on the plate in the video

Love this channel. How comes your rear shock looks backwards? And bra, lol shoulda cleaned that bike before the install :)

How loud does your guys motor get. Mine is fine till about ten miles in and get quite a loud tone any thoughts?
Is it still under warranty? If so get it replaced.

Is covered by Specialized?

Not very confidence inspiring from a dealer perspective.
Well they redeemed themselves by 0:39 confirming and opening store when closed to let me return and purchase the bike
Not sure why the time note was added to my comment 😂😂
tried ur loamwolf15 discount code and it said doesnt exist??
The new door is "more durable" but it's still not "durable". I now keep a spare in the shop at all times.
Man I have broke two doors off, F it just going doorless now.
Haha. Gorilla tape?
Looks like a poor design
