A lovely piece you made at the end! Wonderful work. Your documentary style is always lovely too. I would have assumed the computer tapes would not have been as audible or usable as this. This is very inspiring work!

Thank you Stephen ! I must admit was not sure to be able to produce sounds and then music before I listened to the computer tape. 😊

great exploration, sounds incredible! I always wondered if old data tapes where of any use in a musica context, and this brilliantly answer my question!

And the sound of the music itself-that grainy, yearning texture was perfect 🤩

Hey ALPFV, Enjoyable process and resulting music from almost nothing! I just uploaded "Primordial Soup" from 1987, on which I used a Casio SK-100, very similar to your SK-5 except no pads. Keep creating my friend!

I use old open reel and cassette, along with pedals. Data is a great source of sound. Well done with the tape seperater. Keep up the inspiring videos.

Haha! I used to use a similar thing to cut 35mm film into 16mm film for spy cameras. I had to do it in the dark though.

@@alastpicturefromvoyager Lego for the prototype but in the end it was easier to use sanded wood blocks and rubber.

@richardcnrd8302 thank you ! I do not have a patreon, I'm afraid of not releasing new things regularly enough to Patreon to be justified. But perhaps I am false. But samples from my work could be a nice thing to do ...
