Just some minor context: amazon sends these questions to people who have previously purchased that product. Literally an email that asks 'can you answer this question?' and some people don't know it is the thing that shows up in the Q&A section of the item listing.

Amazon brings this stuff upon themselves. They send you emails asking you to review the item, and some folks just say "Ok will do. I haven't used it yet and it's still in the box, but I'll give you everything I've got!" Then, Amazon sends emails that say "As a purchaser of this item, can you answer the following question?" So some folks think it's impolite not to answer.

Re the Viltrox Q&A: I think the original poster didn't understand that the lens he was asking about actually is the new version. That is what Michael Dussault was trying to explain: the lens in the ad is the newest version. PS - the Classic Chrome looks slightly brighter but the color is about the same.

Last week I thoroughly reviewed many expensive tech products, 4 to 5 stars, spent like 2 hours doing those. I got censored on all the reviews for no apparent reason 😂 and here we see the most stupid questions and answers. The world is ending.

I suspect that the people who answer "I don't know" believe that the people who ask the questions know them personally, therefore feel compelled to answer something. That is either ego gone wild or people whose mothers told them to always be nice to strangers.

Regarding that wide angle adapter, it would work on a M.Zuiko 40-150 f4-5.6 by the way (which has a 58mm filter thread). It's the guy who answered who assumed incorrectly that the question was about the M.Zuiko 40-150mm f2.8 Pro lens.

This happens because when someone asks a question the people who also bought the product get an email asking if they can answer the question. But the way it is worded it sounds like you are personally being asked 1 to 1 not that it's just a general post on the amazon answers section. So people answer as if they were asked personally by the person with no others involved because they think that is precisely what is happening. Amazon doesn't reword the emails because so much activity on a product makes it look like many are interested in it and it's in demand.

As someone who answers tech support questions as part of my job, i think the people who ask these types of questions literally don’t know how to use google.

Well, I can't tell if there is a difference with Classic Chrome because I'm on the outside of the monitor looking in. So, from my perspective it may look different than from inside where you are.
Can you do an Amazon questions video on protest cream, please?
You are on the right track with your fly flying around the light per minute, but you have to apply the inverse logic because the more NITS the brighter it gets, so the bigger the radius of the illuminated area is, therefore the fly will have to fly a larger circumference, so it will take it more time to go around assuming that a fly has a constant velocity.
B&H has similar stupid answers for some of their products. You will see responses clearly not for the product.
It is only possible to ask questions with this level of squirrelheadedness if you have a Canon RP.
