Coach Quality. What's Happening? What To Look Out For!

- I have noticed some quality issues on a few of my newer Coach bags, including a Shay bag that I've had for a while. I LOVE Coach, but I am concerned about some of the stitching, chipping, and zipper issues.
I'll show you my latest Ruby 18's, Ruby 25, Rouge 25, and Shay Coach bags.

Yeah the chipping on the dark hardware is normal. I had a dreamer 36 and the hardware chipped over time. I mean I love Coach too. But recently I’ve been into vintage Coach because the quality back then was different & I love it even more. But todays current Coach quality that I do like is the quality like the little details with Coach written on the hardware. I love that lol.
I do love Coach... I just wish a few issues could be addressed for future bags. Thanks for your comments!
Thanks for this video - new subbie 👋 I hate the high prices already, but the stitching has been crap lately. Same with Dooney, I’ve gotten some just awful bags. Sad to see the quality decline so fast, last year was fine.

Thanks so much for making this video! I recently got two Ruby 18 satchels and they both had quality issues. One had frayed stitching and the loops from the stitches were poking out. The other one had glue in a lot of random places and the handle was squared not rounded. So strange, my coach outlet items are far better quality-wise. So sad because the Ruby 18 is the cutest little bag

Unfortunately no company seems to have mastered the dark hardware chipping issue:(. That's why I try to avoid it! The stitching issue is a new one for sure...you can probably help your sticky zipper by running wax paper along it:). Thanks for this video! Great info for sure:).

I haven't heard of any quality issues with the Tali yet!
I have an marc jacobs bag with black hardware almost 4 years now. I have no issues. I had my coach Cary in pewter hardware it scratcht after 2 weeks

I totally agree with you...bcoz I had bought a lori...frm Dubai mall ...out of love for the brand n the bag....but as u said the stitches at the handle...r not so neat n perhaps may come off...feeling sad....hope coach reads my comment n replaces it.😒.I live in Doha...n they hv only one outlet...at the airport.

Me neither! I never saw any stitching issues so far on the rogues! It's so sad and we know they can do better that's the sad part!!! Thank you for sharing❤️

Hi Laurie! Thanks so much for sharing the issues you had with your bags. I had issues with my ruby as well. However, none of them had zipper issues. The third time, they got it right. I bought some items from Coach outlet as well. Those items were factory wrapped and had no issues. I guess because the ruby and rogue are so popular, they dropped the ball in quality control.
I've had many, many Coach bags that did't have any quality issues, but unfortunately, some of the recent Rubys and Rogues are not up to their normal standards. Thanks for watching!
Oh wow. So sorry about the stitching issues. My concern about the fraying would be it may unravel. Coach may be in a hurry to get the bags out quickly. The mango Riley is adorable! Omg! You got the papaya Rogue 25. She’s a stunner! They were sold out when I purchased the Tali bag.

Thank you for sharing! I had to go inspect both my bags (I also have the rogue and ruby 18 in papaya) and luckily they are both good! I will say though, I recently bought the Tea Rose Rogue in chalk with the snakeskin handles. I got one factory wrapped from the boutique and upon inspection, noticed some snake skin scales had already peeled off the handle! I was able to exchange it in store for another one, but definitely will be inspecting every new bag I get carefully!

I believe Coach offers repair services on their bags that were purchased online and/or in the boutiques. Thank you for sharing! I love Coach too. 🧡🤎
Yes, Coach does offer repairs. It's just too bad they don't always get it right the first time you open a brand new bag. But I am still a big Coach fan too.

I'm very disappointed, my bag is less than a year old and the edging on the area where the shoulder strap connects are cracking and i just noticed the silver hardware is peeling and the copper color is showing. Unbelievable.
Meh I'm over it ... these bags cost too much to be playing with quality issues
I understand, but the majority of my Coach bags are of excellent quality. It's just a few ones that I've noticed issues with.
