Missing as of 2023: Mooresville Skatepark - Mooresville, NC = incredible. Massive. Small obstacles to "professional" level. 2 Bowls. Oxford Skatepark - Oxford, NC = small prefab park with a couple concrete ledges, a 3 stair, bump, and a rather massive kicker that goes to flat or a small transition on either side. Prefab parts are a quarter pipe and pyramid... pyramid is pretty good for a prefab. Also 2 rails mounted to the concrete one round (high) one square (average height). I wouldn't go more than 20 minutes out of the way for Oxford. I'd go 20 hours out of the way for Mooresville.
Once again thank you for letting people know how many grate skateparks NC has. This video was awesome! You killed it on the ranking. I agree food lion skatepark is #1. Only skatepark that was not listed was the new skate plaza in Troy NC. Definitely on the list as far as good overall park.
As a fellow bmx rider who is moving to NC next week I can’t thank you enough man! I am coming from Colorado and we are so spoiled here but now I can’t wait to ride all these beautiful parks!!
Really nice list and good idea. Do you know somewhere around triangle area that has a mini half pipe? Like 2 ft ideally? I've found some small quarter pipes but I'd really love to find a small actual half pipe so I can go back and forth
@@hostilecarrot thanks bro. Chapel hill got $500k to upgrade homestead skate park and they are looking for input from skaters. I thought you might be a good person. Just search google for 'homestead skatepark public information session'. There are 2 dates in person but you can also just email the guy in charge with your feedback/ideas for the new park
Love the reviews!! Especially our little gem here in Washington, which is always empty. I grew up in Raleigh and when skating Marsh Creek we got stalked by a crackhead wearing a halloween mask & hood who would hide behind trees while brandishing a sword on numerous occasions, so we stopped skating there before it was even open to the public. To say it's in a "sketchy area" is an understatement. Such a shame since it's one of the nicest skateparks in NC.
watched your video and went to pcm in Washington nc met some dudes and skated a little first time in a skate park too, got some concrete burn, kinda drop in for the first time, cam home cleaned up, bandaged up, had a good ass first sess, rock on! 🤙🤙
the best skatepark is the park that's close to your house. I personally think that Apex skatepark is the best in the RDU area. Marsh Creek is a great park but is not beginner friendly, and age of the concrete is starting to make the surface rough. Apex has the smoothest concrete surface around.
I appreciate the video/information, a great resource, but it was clearly from the viewpoint of a non-skateboarder. So for a little bit of a skateboarders perspective... "Rodgers Family Skate Plaza in Apex only has small features"... something no skateboarder has ever thought. This park would have been #1 or #2, but now the Mooresville park has been built, it's falling back a spot. Still one of the top 5, if not 3, public parks in NC. If anyone remembers Skate Utopia in Raleigh... now that was insane. Only place I've personally seen a full size vert ramp, which is quite shocking to see for the first time. Thing had like 7ft of pure vertical and it took 3 sets of spiral stairs to get to the top... absolutely wild.
The new skatepark is not done yet, but from everything I've seen, it's pretty much guaranteed to be top three in the state... Potentially the best. I talked about it in the beginning of the #53-21 video
@@hostilecarrot 10-4, it may not be technically open but I’ve seen several skaters skating it the last couple days. Must be getting close. That or it’s the builders testing it out maybe.

Hate I missed Troy on this list. Appreciate the support though brother! Super hyped on how it turned out and ready for the next project!

BMX is alive and well in NC, ypull be happy here. Ranch Camp just a short drive away too!
Did you come to Bragg/liberty? We have a big bmx community here in Fayetteville

I appreciate you watching! Pretty sure DDASC has a 2' mini ramp. Apex would be a great option too.

Skate barn, Hampstead n.c. check it out!
This is a very helpful video for people looking to tryout new parks. I like all of the parks near the 🌊🏖️ ocean.

Looking for your last video. This video is so well made.
I got to skate the Food Lion park before it was even finished. That was 20 years ago and that bowl is still my favorite.

Living in durham, I can confirm the "bad neighborhood"
When I said that, I meant I did not feel safe here. lol
Literally the only park that I don’t feel safe at
Absolutely agree with Foodlion being best in the state! I grew up skating that nearly 20 years ago when it was still a pay park
i cant wait for the food lion park in asheville to be done!
Thanks for reviewing these parks and sharing with the community!
Glad it was helpful!
I went to the one in Wilmington yesterday the ramp is huge😅

How about Mooresville? I know they just re-did it.

Prolly have.
Mooresville……the answer is Mooresville
That skatepark was not built yet when I posted this video. I know it'd be top 3 for sure.
Hickory diy park best in the state
