I know it sounds crazy, but I'd actually like to see an entire album done in this style...
his verse when hes rapping bout his dad.... so much emotion.
It kills me to hear the cracking in his voice when he says, "Now he's asking if it's too late to save us, shit I don't know." Having a father who wants nothing to do with you until you're doing good in life fucking sucks. Because you want to believe he really wants a relationship, but deep down you know it's only because you got money and exposure now.. It's fucking sad...

why is Kells' "and hey, hey, hey it's been so long since you've gone away?" part autotuned in the original version. i think his natural singing voice is fuckin beautiful!
Why am I just seeing this
It’s crazy that this song was made before they made proper mends. They finally did, and then he passed away. He was waiting to make mends with his son, before he departed from this earth. Tragic, but the beauty came before that. Thats what’s truly important. I know the immense pride he had for his son, was always there. He couldn’t leave, until he knew his son knew that. We are all proud of you, Kells. And so was your father. Remember that. Lace up, my friend.
Still listening to the old shit...love this version of gone... Its so raw and the fact that the violin guy messes up in the end is fuckn tight!
What I love is mgk is so good at just feeling it you know this song was beating in the chambers of his heart and it energizes him like blood flowing through his veins lace up

I feel like the acoustic version of any song makes the lyrics more present and meaningful.
I cried the whole song 💕 some times we forget he's human to and this is one of the realist songs I've heard from anyone in a long while LACE TF UP
The true real one, all his songs are 100% genuine and heartfelt, he spits from the bottom of his soul, magic.
