    I believe I have figured out the correct way to put the Hubble in the cargo bay. First open the payload bay doors and lift the maneuvering arm out of the way. You have to take the solar panels off, and the golden rod sticks off, then you just have the 2 black clip pieces sticking out of the sides. Then you lower it with the nasa logo piece facing towards the ceiling, and the eye of the telescope facing towards the cockpit. Lower the 2 black clip pieces onto the rear light gray 1 by 1 tile with the white lines on it. The back of the Hubble should be right in front of the 2 tabs that stick up in front of the springs for the landing gear. The doors are able to close all the way if done properly and the communication dish should be right in front it. If it doesn’t work I can post pictures on how to do it.

      Also if you have the Saturn V or the ISS set you can take the micro Figures from them and put them in the seats of the shuttle. This set is basically a 3 in 1. You get the shuttle, the Hubble, and if you have enough VIP points you can get the Ulysses space probe too.

    Man you’re 100% right about the review. I was thinking the same about the set. I finished building mine today ( 4/2/22 ), and it’s awesome!

      It's amazing. I love this set. If you use a gray 1x2 plate w/horizontal clip and a couple extra pieces from the set you can make a very realistic Canadarm spacewalk apparatus for a minifig to service the Hubble just like STS-61 (minus it not being the Endevour) but still wicked cool. Scaling is close enough to display IMO

    To put the hubble in the bay and close the doors u just gotta remove the panels alltogether including the folded version, then you have to just move the maneuvering arm out of the way and place the hubble in there, as long as the yellow is facing the walls and not the floor it can fit in there. It would be hard to be specific about where exactly to place the hubble in there but if your hubble is sliding around then youv got the positioning wrong.

    The reason Hubble is included is because Hubble was launched in the discovery space shuttle so it is the perfect thing to put with the set.

    I don’t know if it’s my favorite but it’s close to being the best scale model Lego has done. The Saturn V is the best.

      The Saturn V was a great kit too. I loved the lunar lander too. I just got the ISS kit

    I've watched a crap ton of videos after I bought the set (one of my little faults) and I can say that yours was good. Really good. I really need to build this guy. Now. Thanks.

    This is a LONG BOI of a video. I really like the silver parts used in this set. Those are going to be so useful to some people. Imagine the custom lego lightsaber possibilities.

      Lego should make a Naboo star fighter with those silver pieces

      And apparently they designed them but it was cost prohibitive to release as one big mega set

    I love the kit. I bought custom parts for the name plate, one for the Canada Arm and one for the hatch and it just ups the level of the kits appearance

    A little late but brick sticker shop makes custom enterprise stickers for this set

  • @cbspock1701

    There are custom shuttle name tiles, and the guy does them properly for each shuttle and for the era you want since the logos changed over the shuttle lifetime

    Herpa MADE a 1/500 scale, ultra detailed Enterprise about 12 years ago. I was lucky enough to get the 1/500 Endeavor (Final Flight). They’re all great but tough, tough, tough to find.

    The landing gear doors are missing and the first mission was with 6 astronauts so one seat is missing. The model is good but not great.

    • @OntheBrick
      @OntheBrick  2 года назад

      Well the landing gear doors missing is pretty acceptable I'd say, considering they chose the functionality aspect. But the missing seat? Well this is representative of a very specific mission in which only 5 astronauts went. I personally would have loved the inclusion of 2 more as an option for builders though.

    How did you put the mirror stickers on? What technique?

    • @OntheBrick
      @OntheBrick  2 года назад

      Spraying a tiny amount of wonderful on the piece before applying thr sticker allows you move it around. But I also, and mainly, use a pair of tweezers to hold the sticker and line it up.

    Are you going display the Hubble space telescope separately or inside of The Space Shuttle Discovery?
    Edit: Oh you answered that at the very end of the video.
