I honestly love the much older videos' sound quality. It makes it sound so much softer than the sensitive loud microphones they use currently. I definitely get tingles from these older videos

Me too. It's sad that most girls believe that they only look pretty with makeup when really they also look beautiful without it. When I wear makeup, I do it because I want to, not because I think I need it to look pretty and all girls should do the same.

I think my favorite part of this video is the smile as she says "It's like a primer for your face before you start applying layers of stuff" and the brow monologue "Never try to change your shape, this is what Mother Nature gave you, highlight it and embrace it" because she's so real about it.

Great tutorial, you look amazing. I didn't know this until a few years ago, but the sponges are meant to be used wet. You wet them, squeezing out the water and it will triple in size. It saves you money because not as much product gets soaked into the sponge, and your skin (although it is hard to believe it would be any more beautiful) would look airbrushed.

I roll it in a towel as well you don't want it soaking wet just double in size and damp. You bounce it on your skin, tap tap tap. It will be perfect for you because you don't like a heavy look.

You guys should try the Beauty Blender! I'm like maria, I've never really found much success with foundation brushes. Beauty blender is the best sponge out there, try sephora.

It's not that she puts on 'too much' makeup; she just has one of those faces that is very impressionable(if that makes sense). Her features are very very soft and her lips etc are also as colorless as her skin and so adding color and lines will dramatically make an impact. My coloring and features are very similar to hers and so I have that same 'issue' too. If we wear mascara, ur gonna know it right away, w/ no question!

Because of the angle you shot this at, this has probably been the best winged eyeliner tutorial I have ever found RUclips. I can finally see how I need to map out my eye and get over my fear of not going past the lash line too far. All this time, I haven't been going far enough. I see a lot of comments about how 'beautiful' or 'pretty' you are without make-up and I agree. These remarks seem kind of out of context or irrelevant to the true content of your post. What I love about you and your posts is the way your personality shines through in the content of your mannerisms, diction and sincere, unashamed expression.
I believe this inner-beauty that comes out through your sincere videos deserves much more praise and acknowledgement than a superficial compliment about your physical attractiveness. A beautiful woman is one thing.., A beautiful woman with a a clear passion for compassion and helping others is quite another!
Thanks for all your wonderful posts, especially the Russian basics lessons, as this helps me in understanding and communicating with a group of Russian friends I have (at this point it is quite a humorous interaction for them).

Its a pain to find makeup that fits pale skin. Even the "lightest" type of foundation becomes yellow and too dark. So I have just started using concealer haha
me too, any foundation i try is either to yellowy or too orange or too pink :/ now i just use a bb cream or very light foundation with concealer and it works great :)

+meow ? Have you tried the Mineralized Moisture Foundation in NW13 by Mac? It's extremely pale! I'm very pale myself but sometimes it's even too pale for me haha! it's great because it can be anything from sheer to full coverage depending on how much you use :) You should check it out if you haven't already.
That is the reason why I buy higher end foundation. Haven't found a foundation from the drugstore that doesn't oxidize.

Brave girl exposing your face without makeup, I admire that because it shows the natural look and I appreciate that because it kinda takes away that falseness that many men detest and you see the finished face as Art work rather than camouflage that's hiding the true you from men. I think a lot of women wouldn't dare make a video without makeup especially to deliberately show whats under the face mask. You are pretty without makeup anyway but your make up application is nice. i know this is literally 8 years later but i honestly think it’s so sad how she says *“let’s start making me pretty”* when she started the makeup. i don’t know if you are seeing this now but i want to let you know that you are so so so beautiful.
This video was made just after she had suffered years of abuse and a nasty divorce. Her confidence and sense of self had been undermined for many years. Now she is recovered, a confident woman, and she appears in her natural (no make up) state sometimes with no reference to not wearing makeup or "being pretty". She has rebuilt herself emotionally and has the confidence to appear as she wants.
Many women, especially young women, could learn from this. They are afraid to be seen without make-up. I wish more women would go natural and stop letting the cosmetic industry control their self-esteem. Women do not need make-up.

This makes me so happy and tingley! Most makeup gurus have loud, fast, overdone tutorials. This video approachs makeup not as something to perfect your face but to enhance what's already there :) you're really beautiful without makeup and I completely enjoyed the video
I'm like you Maria, super porcelain skin! Luckily more and more brands are coming out with porcelain type shades. I've had trouble for years finding shades. I also suggest Laura Geller's Balance and Brighten Color Correcting Foundation, it's fantastic, I wear it in the lightest shade, porcelain :) but there is also fair, medium, tan, and deep. Great coverage and long wearing

I work at a substance abuse center so we get patients with high anxiety, stress and a lot of other unpleasant feelings and I make sure I go above and beyond to make them comfortable until they make it to the Dr. I get so many compliments for being calm and gentle in how I speak and handle them, so I watch you for my guide lol...I also trll them all about your channel and how it helped me , I have half the patient's looking You up lolol!!!
