  • Former Kansas City Kings and Boston Celtics point guard Nate "Tiny" Archibald checks in at No. 48 on Nick Wright's Top 50 NBA Players of the Last 50 Years. While Archibald may not be a super recognizable name to some, his resume of five-time All-NBA, two top-5 MVP finishes and one championship propels him into Nick's top 50.

Should Archibald be on the list over Tracy McGrady or Ray Allen?

I think over tmac and behind Ray Allen (playoff success)
Edit: in a imaginary moving list in my head, I don’t know exactly where I would put him on a top 50 or top 75 haha

I lived in the same building in the projects. He is a year and a half younger. On the court, Tiny would blow by me easily but then he did that to everyone. Pound for pound very few better than Nate

20 ppg 9 apg 9 yrs HOF I agree. Didn't know he was a champion with the Celtics. Actually might put him over rodman but I think rodman who actually watched was great longer than 9 seasons and a top 3 player on 5 championship teams

    Dear Mr. Nick Wright,
Oscar Robertson led the league in scoring and assists. Why does everyone disrespect and or forget the “Big O”???!!! Because of a technicality. In 1968, Oscar led the NBA in scoring w/ 29.2 ppg and in assists with 9.7 apg. Unfortunately, back then the league leader was awarded to the player with the most totals. Today, the leader is awarded to the player w/ the highest average. In 1968, Oscar played in 65 games. The points leader was Dave Bing (2,142). Oscar was 6th (1,896). Bing averaged 27.1 ppg. The assists leader was awarded to WILT CHAMBERLAIN w/ 702 assists (8.6 per game). Oscar had 633 assists (3rd in the NBA). If Oscar played in all 82 games, he would have led the league in totals in both categories. By today’s standards he would be considered the league leader in both categories.

Sidney looks like he can lower your scoring average by 5 just by looking at you.

Random but any respect for Mt.Mutombo and Big Ben? All time defenders who defense lead to success (just as great as Melo, English, and King but on the other side of the court)

If Steph isn’t above KD the list is wack

Not a controversial pick at all -- or at least shouldn't be. T-Mac def wasn't better, and Ray has more 'chips but individually comes up short. Positionally, only Magic, Isiah, Cousy, Oscar and MAYBE CP3 are better. McGrady isn't in his Top 5 or 6, positionally, and Ray Allen prolly isn't either.

20 and 9? 18.8 and 7.4 for his career. Averged over 20 and 9 twice.

    No doubt about it,
Nate WAS the Kansas City Kings. Dood had zero help 💯
I feel like he inspired Steve Nash’s game
    A “Tiny” bit 🤏😂
