- Wow! I really didn't "dislike" Ren & Stimpy in the first game, I had some fun with them and thought they were pretty silly guys, but comparatively, relatively, I guuuess you could say they were one of my "least favorite" characters there...? But here! Wow! They really dialed up the charm!
They were chaotic and expressive before, but they're even more chaotic and expressive here, they've reached so much more of their potential! And what a fun looking move where the drive a wiener around, how fun to take their up-special (my favorite move of theirs) and let players charge it now! Being able to charge it and mix things up with that wiener car really gives their recovery more flexibility! That plus their log sticking around on-stage even after already hitting people, and the promised strong air mobility to weave around punishes after putting out hitboxes on both sides...! These guys actually sound really strong! Seems like they'll be making an impact in tourneys and in chaotic free-for-all matches alike, and seeing them so much should be pretty fun since they're pretty fun to watch already with all their zany big animations and expressions!

Omg I'm so glad that they're ultimate is the "What do you MEAN YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME?!" with Ren blowing up the ENTIRE EARTH lol!
As someone that’s been kinda “meh” on all of the final smashes just being cinematic “one super big hit” types, there’s literally nothing else Ren & Stimpy’s could be, and it’s animated super well!
I wonder what was said on the phone to make him go from blowing up australia to EVERYONE!!!!

There's a reason they handled it the way they did, otherwise slime meter would've been doomed to being disabled in tournaments
Besides, most of these cutscenes are way flashier than some of the boring on stage final smashes ultimate has

I think Ren and Stimpy’s spotlight is my favorite by far. I love their very expressive animations and moves overall. However, there was something I spotted in the trailer that makes me think about a specific character.
In a section of the showcase we see them doing… powdered toast man’s shine? Which gets me thinking, could PTM have been scrapped from NASB2? It seems that Ren and Stimpy heir the move now and it acts kind of similar. It could just be a placeholder or maybe they actually do hold the toast shine now. Either way I wonder what this will spell for PTM whether he’s potentially scrapped for the second game or still back with maybe a new/similar down special. Only time will tell!
Right! Well, in function it definitely seems unrelated! It just seems like more of a visual to choreograph that they're countering, not a shine at all, but it is the same effect PTM had for sure! I'm not sure either what it might mean for him, if anything, hmm...

smth relevant to the video though, i REALLY love how much the animations have improved. the attacks are actually choreographed, and thats something i still get shocked by. plus, the expressions are spot on, such a phenomenal job from the devs ♥️
Aw thanks so much, sometimes I feel like I end up posting these so much later, but I'll keep it up, it's fun to chat about all these fun characters and see what y'all think too in this hangoutey sorta vibe! And yeah, the animations and expressions are so fun to look at and really bring the characters to life! It's so neat to see all these characters clash with their fun moves and their distinct artstyles! Agreed, this stuff is super phenomenal, they're doing so great!

The thing with R&S is, with the exception of the later seasons which were just bad, very similar to spongebob and FOP, it wasn't too gross out. There were the odd episodes like Ren's toothache and the golden hairball that are pretty nasty, but mostly it was about the writing being funny, a lot of the boundary pushing jokes were mostly super surreal or subtly adult. I'd even say season 1 has a lot of surprisingly innocent charm to it.
Aw, cute! Yeah, Fairly OddParents and Spongebob could definitely be gross at times, maybe I just got a certain impression of Ren & Stimpy from the peeks I saw - I remember taking a peek and seeing some sort of adventure in Stimpy's belly-button or something that, ehhhh, yeah, wasn't for me. But aw, glad to hear about that charm! Reminds me I also saw an episode where they read fanmail and Ren felt unloved as most of it was about how Stimpy was cute and Ren was offputting! Then later Ren cries after reading a sweet, loving fanmail from Stimpy, very sweet♥ And now they're both celebrated and loved here, working together and being their sweet, charming, zany selves!

They look amazing! I love their alts even Three Fingered Hoek and Stupid the Kid from Out West. They were my og main and I am going to love maining them again.

Well of course that was too gross. I believe that any ren and Stimpy fan unofficially vow to never speak of adp and pretend that isn't canon. They do look amazing otherwise.

While i didn't play NASB 1 for very long, i'm pretty sure i mained Ren & Stimpy so this excites me to see that they might be even better, plus they did look a bit lifeless in the first game so to see their genuine wackiness come out is lovely.

Everyone needs to relax with all these negative videos. They’ve multiple times times that there’s more spotlights and if a character you wan isn’t in the game they’re still dlc. People are also forgetting about all the new modes that are in this game that story mode is going different stories for each of characters you unlock. There’s an updated arcade mode, there’s cross play. We should just be grateful that we are even getting this game. It’s not coming until November so there’s going to plenty of spotlights and reveals. The company cares enough to put characters you been asking for. Let’s stop all the and bashing based on zero evidence.l
