You actually can change your controls in campaign mode, but for whatever reason, they made the option to do so invisible. You do it in the phone booth where you change your characters, if you move the cursor up to right below the 3D model of the currently highlighted character is, it will bring up the option to change your profile... why they made this option invisible, I do not know.
I am LOVING the game so far! The new character so fun and unique, the stages are wacky and jam packed with neat references, the net code is some of the best I’ve seen in a fighting game and the campaign, Oh GOD the campaign!! I’ve been playing it nonstop since I started and I never plan to put it down. Challenging battles, platforming stages, Buffs and status ailment and ACTUAL Bosses!! This game is everything thing I want in a fighting game. And while I do wish in said campaign that the characters actually interacted a bit more with each other for more unique dialogue (probably might get patch in, or probably not, I’m no lawyer) these dev put their heart and soul into this and I couldn’t be happier. Now just you all till I get my hands on Mr. Krabs, I’ll be unstoppable!

It's cool to see the switch version of the game getting some love! But the 30fps on switch doesn't seem noticeable from gameplay I've seen. I was considering buying the switch version, but went for the steam ultimate edition because I want to participate in online with the guaranteed 60fps and performance. It's kind of easy to get lost in the hype and all the tournaments going on. But it's also nice to sit back and enjoy the single player experience. I'll definitely follow your cozy videos and discussions via youtube. I'm teetering between ranked and casual but there's so much to love about this game. I'm ecstatic about Jimmy, Squidward, and Patrick. But I have El Tigre on my radar for my list of characters to try out because I am part Spanish. The announcer really nailed it with the introductions. He's as happy about Jimmy being in the game as I am. But El Tigre's long name being announced at 8:48 was just... perfect.

By chance, do you know how to unlock the online profile icons? I’ve played every mode except ranked online at least once and I’m just stumped. I have unlocked karate gertie, but I have no idea how I did it.
I seem to be unlocking them by playing the characters online! I think, from the language of the medals, that local matches would count too! I've gotten a couple as rewards from Arcade Mode too!
I played about 50ish offline local matches with danny against the cpu to get a feel for him and I unlocked both of his online icons so it might work with both offline and online matches
No, you can! They updated that pretty quick thankfully, you can choose your controls on the same screen you choose a character there! And before that, if you play some other mode the game will carry over those controls so you can get passed the tutorial with your preferred controls too!
Can't wait to see Lucy's dialogue towards Vlad, that's what I'm most curious about
There is some cool cross-cartoon dialogue, in my run Aang said "I never want to resort to fighting a spirit" when fighting Vlad.

remember, learning form your enemies moves can be a trick to learning the character more. keep your eyes on them.

The story is 🔥 I'm excited for that new update because alot of stuff needs fixed. Loading screens, crashing, music looping etc.

Pretty sure you just have to play like 10 fights as the character to get their alternate icons
