When are ppl gonna learn to listen to Yannie??! I'm not her client but I follow what she says and my locs are flourishing!!! BTW her locs are gorgeous 😍
I combined my Microlocs at 8months like your clients and it’s the best decision ever! I just let my locs be and follow your advice and they’re flourishing. You can’t even tell I had tiny locs.
I'm a "student" /stalker of Yanni The Only Locologist. I had the Blessed opportunity to sit in her chair a week ago for the first time (Oh and Jimmy's chair - 2 different experiences... But she taught him 😆) I'm a client for life now. I have a couple twinsies which we didn't discuss but to all who follows her and Jimmy they are THE TRUTH. So happy and fortunate for the experience. #JackieFL#
I would just like to say I have already calculated how long I gotta wait before l can have them bless my crown....it will be next June for my 53rd birthday😀😀😀😀 Queen Yannie is it to early to book my appointment😀😀😀😀 just kidding... but seriously I’ll be seeing Yannie in a year....
From watching Yannie’s videos (for three years), I have learned so much but, most important is that I can take the information and apply it to my type of Locs, and as I continue on my life long Loc journey, I can now intelligently enjoy caring for my Locs. Thank you, Yannie
When I started my locs almost a year ago now, I did two strand twist and braided at the top. Some unraveled until the braided part and I started calling them “Lover’s locs” because I knew they would become one loc one day! 😊
I just combined a few of mines (crochet method) then palmed rolled them and it just look mature, you can barely tell anything happened. My scalp was a bit sore because a few of my locs had VERY tiny parts. So I have a small base and thicker locs. I new over time they’ll get too heavy and potentially pop so I combined just a few and it’s sooo much better and it’s thicker from the roots to the tip. Hopefully I made the right decision 🥲 time will tell.
Love your loc education. It is important to just let your hair do what it is naturally meant to do. Retwisting too often will lead to thin, damaged locs eventually over time.
Thanks Yannie ! Great video. My locs are short (only loc'd for a year now) and I've been joining a few of them and leaving my "twinsies" to grow! Love it.
Looking GREAT! Mine are a bit too small, but because of the current length I'll have to let them be. If there's one "take away" from your frequent lectures its: "Do NOT be obsessed with neatness! " I have not only embraced it for myself, but I've been earnestly promoting to other locced sisters and brothers. Have a blessed week everyone!
my locks are 3 years and pass my shoulder blades. people keep saying my hair makes them want to grow their hair., my hair very disrespectful. Im surprised people love it.
I’m 5 months in and started with two strand twist. I have so many twins and my loctition won’t combine them or twist them together. She’s an Afro Jamaican she looks at me crazy whenever I ask. Lol her patience level is different because no matter how many times I asked all she ever said was leave your hair alone let them take their course…..I’m finally starting to accept them
Yannie, I just watched a video of this it was horrible. The guy actually even cut the hair at the root to part it. Looks like the guy was freeform for years but his girl took him to a place in Florida to get it done.....I was sick by the end I couldn’t even watch it....
Hey Yannie! Forgive me if I missed it, but what method do you use for combining LOCS instead of crochet method? I’ve got starter LOCS, around 5 months in and want to combine some that I feel are a little skinny. I want more thicker disrespectful LOCS. I started with 2 strand twist, can I just two strand twist the two LOCS again or do you perhaps interlock the root of them together and leave the shaft of the loc? I’m a little lost with the method you recommend for the best health of my crown and best way to combine them.
Hello Yannie, what would recommend for new growth, for those of us that might never get the opportunity to sit on your chair, interloc or twist without product of course.
I had a thinning loc so she combined it with another one. Now it looks like I have 2 loc on one strand I think they cal them “twins” I don’t like that look but I’m hopeful since the lady in the video says they grow out
I have some locs that are too small that need to be joibed but, also i struggle with my retwist. Ive only been using oil and water to twist my locs but i find them unwraveling . Any tips or suggestions?
Hello, Yannie I love your work I am a single father and my daughter has locs she is 12. Do you possibly know someone in the Houston area or surrounding areas that you may be able to recommend? I am willing to travel if there is someone who does the locs with the health of the hair in mind? I know that you don't do children please help Yannie if you can.We had a lady but she moved to Kentucky
What style retwist was this? It looks like interlocking, is that correct? Considering interlocking and so I'm just looking for examples. Side note: Her locs look so healthy and free, wow!
It’s funny how ppl worry about others being able to tell their locs are combined but I feel like you REALLY know someone’s locs are combined when they crochet them together.
I just got my hair loced yesterday with the comb coil method, but I wanted my locs thicker and the lady made them too small for me. Do I have to wait a certain amount of time in order to combine them or can I just combine them today?

I’m just starting.....and I binge watch all of her videos. I’m 2 months in but I decided I’m not doing nothing to mine until the end of June
Great going! That makes two of us! ☺
Lol yannie seriously made me laugh. " if they can see your hair is combined they're too freaking close."
Her hair is gorgeous.
I just started 3 month and I’ve stopped all products just using vitamin E and rose water you are an amazing teacher thank you for your knowledge
Uh oh! I use these products in my locs..what’s wrong with using them?
@@user-ho3iz3ig3v she said she just uses vitamin e and rose water and stopped all other products lol

This is my status as well, long and small, but my hair is healthy. I just let it do what it does!
All your clients have healthy looking locs! Your advice is on point!

Haha! "Don't be weird". Yannie, do tell.
Smh. You don't wonna know love. Still shaking my head. Even Jimmy was freaked out by a couple of vm. That's why I tell folks just keep it simple
Thank you! I've been waiting for this video for months.
Just enjoy the information you offered on your vlogs
You are a master🙏🏿 I really like this sistas hair😳
Yes I've seen people start locs w/the crochet needle. They call it instant locs.
Great video, most of my locs are joined
Some I have 3 combined
Just made some twinsies and think they’re here to stay ☺️.
I love your energy! Thanks for all you do

My God. Smh
For lack of knowledge .....
Smh still. The horror stories I here
I took my daughter to a salon and the girl cut her roots. I’m never going to take her to the salon again.
I love the look. Really pretty.
I'd love if you all came to Boston!
I just got my locs retwist and she joined two of my locs in salty. I have thin hair but my locs puff up ugh
I’m late but I am 6 months in and I want to combine my locs. I wanted to know did you just combine at the root? And if so how did you do it

Hey Queen.
Hello Yannie, what would recommend for new growth, for those of us that might never get the opportunity to sit on your chair, interloc or twist without product of course.
I don’t think she’s gonna answer.....she always says she doesn’t promote techniques....she says they are all bad if done to often.....
I had a thinning loc so she combined it with another one. Now it looks like I have 2 loc on one strand I think they cal them “twins” I don’t like that look but I’m hopeful since the lady in the video says they grow out
hi yannie I just combined 3 of mines it seems you are you a mind reader😱😱
How do you combine locs?
So I should just two strand twist and leave em ?
Did you two strand twist them?
Any advice for combining sisterlocks??? Mine are two years. Wondering if it’s a good idea of not.
I combined my Sisterlocks 3 years ago.
love your videos. so if you want to combine what's the best way to do it
