Awesome man!!! I see you went to my part of California I've railfanned many times at that station and I've really enjoyed it for many years!!!! If you're lucky some engineers honk for departure and maybe some nice horn shows and horn action!!!! I also see you caught 462 using it's nice/ok K5LA horn and many others including my favorite long-distance Amtrak train the Coast Starlight and Union Pacific "Bare-table train" which I rarely see any freight go through there!!!! :) It's really too bad that the F59s on the Pacific Surfliner will be gone soon as both them and the P42s will be replaced in the future with Siemens Charger locomotives.....:( I love the F59s on both Metrolink and Amtrak..... +BrentNguyen46
Very cool! I do have a question, though. I recall that Metrolink started leasing engines from BNSF to place in front of the Hyundai cab cars due a flaw in the design of the cab cars. Why, then, do some trains that I see have BNSF leaders in front of the cab cars, and some just have the cab cars?
pittsburgh railfan Thanks ! The locomotives were very prominent back in 2016 and partially in 2017, where the videos you see of the BNSF spanned sometime from 2016-2017; but all the BNSF locomotives have since been removed by the end of 2017 and all repairs to the CabCars are satisfactory for safe operation.
2016 was a really interesting year to rail fan in SoCal with all BNSF units on Metrolink. It looked really wacky at first but then it became normal. I don't think any commuter railroad will ever do that again.
TheNazar123 It definitely was odd to see the BNSF locomotives, but I’d say it was a logical decision to put safety over financial priorities, especially in the eyes of the public’s perception of Metrolink.
TommyPickles Fan1992 Yep. Those videos will come gradually, but it should be within a couple months or so. I’ll also be working on the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line as well.
RailfanJojo Thanks ! I’ve currently been reassigned to a new work assignment in NorCal as of recently. I don’t necessarily have a big upload coming anytime soon, although I did railfan ACE recently at Pleasanton and Tracy, both of which should be uploaded before the end of August. I really appreciate your continued interest and comments of my videos !
RailfanJojo Haha, it might be a while before I finish California, maybe at least another two or three years. I live in California, so I don’t really have plans to head out of state anytime soon. Plus California is continually getting more stations built, especially within the next ten years or so, but if I have the chance, I’ll definitely consider railfanning a new state.

Are you planning to Railfan at Chatsworth-Los Angeles?
TommyPickles Fan1992 Yep. Those videos will come gradually, but it should be within a couple months or so. I’ll also be working on the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line as well.
How long do Metrolink trains stop?
Like about a minute or 3
Nice video. I guess you've got a big video coming up, or just a reupload. Good luck on your video though
