1993 NLCS flashback. Braves were the heavily favored 100+ win team looking to return to the World Series. But the Phillies shocked everyone and punched them right in the mouth. They didn't just beat them. They pretty much dominated them.
On top of that, both times the Braves entered the postseason after storming back from 10+ game deficits to win the division only to fall apart against the Phillies. 1993: ATL 10 games back of SF 2022: ATL 10.5 games back of NYM Also, absolutely amazing to have the Phillies be the last NL East team standing after both the Braves and Mets won 101 games only to find themselves on the golf course.
@@KyleB-o5c oh and on top of that, in the clincher, hitting the Braves veteran with a liner that made him just not right and give up a massive home run
funny thing is… the only game the braves won was the home night game. further proof that they were complaining about the games being during the day because of their cheating scandal that will be revealed soon.
I love this team. Been a Phillies fan ever since I was born but I was too young to remember when the Phils were good from 08-2011. This is my first time watching this squad in the playoffs. Love this team
because phillies fans were excited to finally see there team back at home in the playoffs, it hasn’t happened in a while. But here in Atlanta we’re used to this stuff we just won a world series so whenever something good happens we dont freak out like philly but we still celebrate like a good fanbase
@thewalrus8396 Lol...not gonna happen. Have you been keeping up with our inner division play this season? We've made every team in our division look like an expansion team. The good news for the Phillies, Mets, Marlins, and Nationals, is we will continue to do so for the next decade. 🙏🤣
Honestly if you think about it, the Braves losing here is more embarrassing than the Mets losing the Wild Card series. The Braves had a best of 5 series so there was more room for error, and they won the division but had nothing to show for it.
Braves-Mets beat the crap out of one another and the de facto first round was in the regular season for the NL East (9/30-10/2). Phillies got embarrassed in the World Series with World Series record of 71 strikeouts including a Game 4 no-hitter. So you guys got both the Braves and the Mets beat.
if anyone told me the Padres and Phillies were gonna be in the NLCS this season when the season started, I would've called u crazy. But look at them now, shocking everyone. this is why I love baseball. congrats phillies. Absolutely electric crowd.
I love watching these every year, but this is one I will hardly ever re-watch 😭 Thank God we won the whole thing last year, because this series was UGLY for the Braves lol
Amazing, the two heavyweights in the NL East don’t even make the NLCS and the Phillies who started out so badly and looked like they wouldn’t make the last wild card knock out the dominant Braves
Guys, I know people have been saying it, but words cannot describe how loud in person game 3 was. I’m sure game 4 was just as raucous but I was only a lot game 3 and even top level of the upper deck it was THUNDEROUS.

Amazing performance from the Phillies. The only nock on this series was the HEAVY help from the home plate umpire for the Phillies. So many bad calls that screwed Atlanta on 2 outs
You know I just watched the 2022 postseason Braves Phillies and the 2023 postseason Braves Phillies and it seems like the Braves are throwing nothing but garbage
Dude what you just said is not the definition of highlights, you want to know how every player got on watch a full game replay then and stop the damn complaining.

Same here man I’m 21 I didn’t watch baseball yet til about 2011
Jimmy Rollins , Pat Burrell , Ryan Howard, Gay Utley , Jammels and their Manager got them started around 2006
Routine ground plays in philly are louder than the loudest plays in Atlanta

Embarrassed that padres beat mets, wow really padres were better even in the regular season. It was a fair series.
The Phillies the very next year: I’ll fucking do it again
lol Phillies are these Braves but worse since they don’t even win in big games
I keep dancing on my own

I wasn't shocked about the padres. Phillies yes.
if you told someone in April that the Phillies and the Padres would be fighting for a spot in the world series, I don't think anyone would believe you

Even though they couldn’t pull of that comeback in Game 1, that HR call for Matt was amazing. “ITS GONE, ITS NOT OVER YET”

finally we’re gonna get someone new in the world series representing the nl and not the same dominant teams over the last decade.

Way to go Phillies.
The Braves & their stupid chop is just racist. Way to knock them Out!!!
??? everyone at the game was doing the chop as well. it was quite fun
Then, why the Phillies fans mocked the chant? Imitation is flattery folks and by their actions meant that the Chop is best chant in Postseason play.
