Great video. I’ve been thinking about silvopasture a lot lately. Obsessively so. Fascinating stuff

Since chickens are jungle fowls, I wonder if they would survive and thrive well in the forest or would they be more at risk of predation? Something to research for sure 😊

I appreciate what you have to say regarding silvopasture (I bought your book) and I appreciate your desire to foster the conversation regarding reconnecting people with agriculture in a regenerative way--but your constant social justice virtue signalling and blaming of white/ European peoples for every problem that plagues the earth was just as inaccurate as it was insulting.

thanks for your comments. I wouldn't say I place blame in such an absolute manner nor is it constant, but I cannot honestly examine the context and history of land use and agriculture, especially in the US, without recognizing the links to oppressive systems, people, and events. The ways certain landscapes and people were de-valued by European settlers and then destroyed is fact. My ancestors played a part, and its important for me to recognize that. As with anything I write or teach, I expect that others will take some and leave some. To me, regenerative agriculture falls flat if it doesn't rebuild social systems, as well as ecological.

Matthew...So that we can better understand your position, what specific inaccuracies are you referring to? Which claims did you find insulting?

@@arboristla I think my comment above is clear enough.

@bw I am well-versed with the concept of eating the meat and spitting out the bones, thank you.
