    Fantastic accomplishment. It would have been helpful to have included the pasture size grazing rotation schedule.

    Do you leave any pines to become old growth forest? I hope you, yours and your savanna were not too damaged by hurricane Laura.

    It could be interesting to see what would happen with Mr. Daigle's land management if he brought in Bison. There is a market for Bison meat.

    Thank You......I am working on a song, "The Land of the Long Leaf Pine ". It is great to find another source to inform my research for the lyrics. 🎶😎🎶

      @@Rocknrollmyway no......... still gestating..........I set myself the task of reading a couple of books on the subject to glean words and accurate info, and that has me stalled out for the moment. I'll get back to it.
      The musical part is in place and maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the lyric content as well. Do you know if the Virginia Long Leaf has been able to make a comeback? As well as the Red Cockaded Woodpecker?

    Great video. I own 100 acre loblolly pine track in Louisiana. How can private landowners come together and network together and help each other out?

    Consider installing a Screech Owl nest box. Owls eat rodents which host ticks and attract pit vipers.

    Hello! Please tell me, on what type of soil does a Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris) grow? Our pines grow mainly on the sand. Thanks.

    • @redknightsr69
      @redknightsr69 2 года назад +2

      Sandy and silty soils but will grow along the US eastern fall line and similar

      Not as much as a thick mulch of pine straw. It's natural here.

      Cool fire is beneficial and makes everything better. Fire fertilizes the microbes and builds better stronger soil.
