@@Rocknrollmyway no......... still gestating..........I set myself the task of reading a couple of books on the subject to glean words and accurate info, and that has me stalled out for the moment. I'll get back to it. The musical part is in place and maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the lyric content as well. Do you know if the Virginia Long Leaf has been able to make a comeback? As well as the Red Cockaded Woodpecker?
Not as much as a thick mulch of pine straw. It's natural here. www.srs.fs.usda.gov/sustain/report/fire/fire-22.htm#TopOfPage www.fws.gov/invasives/staffTrainingModule/methods/burning/impacts.html albc-usa.org/cpl/floridacrackersheep.html
What a beautiful place and such great stewardship.
Lovely landscape, lovely Brafords.
Very impressive, I really enjoyed it. I heard a pileated woodpecker at about 15 minutes.
Great, informative video. Many thanks!
God bless people like you. Its a shame they are so rare.
Fantastic accomplishment. It would have been helpful to have included the pasture size grazing rotation schedule.
Do you leave any pines to become old growth forest? I hope you, yours and your savanna were not too damaged by hurricane Laura.
That is really neat to see. Lovely to see business that enhances the whole system / environment.
So amazing!!!
It could be interesting to see what would happen with Mr. Daigle's land management if he brought in Bison. There is a market for Bison meat.
Thank You......I am working on a song, "The Land of the Long Leaf Pine ". It is great to find another source to inform my research for the lyrics. 🎶😎🎶
Did you ever finish your song? It sounds interesting!

You mention deer, turkey and woodpeckers but how do the quail and tortoises respond?
Very cool
Great video. I own 100 acre loblolly pine track in Louisiana. How can private landowners come together and network together and help each other out?
Is there a parish forest landowners association? Do you have a consulting forester?
Consider installing a Screech Owl nest box. Owls eat rodents which host ticks and attract pit vipers.
i need a plot of land in Louisiana
How often should you thin trees? I have large medium and small pines all on top of each other.
This is were it’s all about
Man id love for my place to look like that.
And my place is close to Louisiana. Over in Jefferson TX
If you added goats to the rotation would you have to artificially burn?
Hello! Please tell me, on what type of soil does a Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris) grow? Our pines grow mainly on the sand. Thanks.
Sandy and silty soils but will grow along the US eastern fall line and similar
@@redknightsr69 Thanks!
What are the genetics of the cattle?
All fine until development comes along
You cannot save the planet without growing and eating beef...
Are you related to Lauren Daigle?
If want to add more income he could sell the magic mushrooms that grow on the cow poop
Fire kills soil microbes. Get a sheep flock following thee cows.

Fire passes fast, it dosent hurt the soil, atleast very deep.
the fire is beneficial. we have lots of plants that wont even germinate without it
Not a low intensity one, which is generally the type of fire disturbance that is administered in these systems
Cool fire is beneficial and makes everything better. Fire fertilizes the microbes and builds better stronger soil.
It’s obvious that it needs to be burned every year and maybe two times a year
Oh so you must be his consulting forester and familiar with his plot of land then?
Should burn every year
