- After receiving a few messages as to why I haven't uploaded any adventure or dual sport motorcycle content recently, I thought I'd address the question on whether I have quite adventure riding.
Yeah mate in my experience, changing up the content doesn't do ya any favours with the algorithm, but I say fuckin' make the videos you wanna make and to hell with the popularity contest 🤘 cheers
Thanks mate, that's the plan! 🤘
Yes Josh, MVDBR.....Young Josh...you do what you want to, take your time, look after your physical and mental health; David...Adelaide....
I second that, don't be a slave to the algorithm, do your own thing. In the future you'll have an awesome catalogue of memories to revisit 👍
@@TwoTubesADV exactly mate, I just enjoy sharing things I find interesting!
I know that feeling. Glad to have a BMW GS on the radar!! You will love it..
Yeah, after a test ride on one, it sold me on the idea of owning one!
@AusMoto I am taking the F900 GSA and the 1300 GSA out for a 2 day ride review soon. Looking forward to it. Just released a video on the 1300 GSA (clutchles version) not too long ago. Was pleasantly surprised with the Handling!
We should colab sometime .
@@AdvExOz Nice, I'll have to check that out and for sure!
You do what you want to do, Josh. If people like what you do and tune it, good. If not, doesn't matter. Bikes will always be in your blood, and adventure is in there also. Your channel will grow either way. Cheers mate 🍻
Cheers mate and congrats on 5k! 🍻
I'm stoked for that bike restoration! It's one of my biggest hobbies, and because I currently can't ride due to an injury, I'm trying to do as much of it as I can. Currently working on a 1990 Honda NX650 and some old KTM mopeds from the '80s.
Thanks mate, I’m really looking forward to it and hope your recovery goes well!
I havnt been on your channel for 4 months and i come back to this, im glad your changing it up! Like others said that i absolutely agree with, its your channel so do what you please! Happy late new year btw and enjoy ya year mate 🤍
Thanks heaps and happy new year!
I'm glad I watched this! I've had the same mixed emotions since me and a mate rode up to Birdsville and back. I thought it was just me. You are spot on with the high and the low.
Yeah it’s a tough one to explain but it’s real!
I feel you man I had a couple months off the bike after we done the simo. Definitely needed a break after spending nearly 2 weeks on the bike in harsh conditions.
Glad to hear it’s not just me but yeah, now that time has passed, I’m already itching for a big adventure!!
I’ve just ridden my Transalp from Brisbane to Adelaide and will be passing back through Melbourne. Let me know if you wanna try my Transalp. I’ve had a lot of work done to mine and it’s a fantastic touring bike.
That's awesome mate, I'll send ya a DM on insta and see if we can link up.
Great video mate. Thanks for the update! Agree with all the other comments, keep on doing what you love.
Thanks heaps!
Hi Josh your doing a top job mate and making awesome memories that you can look back on 👍
Thanks a lot, Mark, I’m certainly building up a backlog of adventures to watch when I’m old!
After my cape york ride (only 3000km) in October 24 I never went near my bike for 8 weeks and still haven't ridden much, not even my Beta 300rr. I did a lot of research on my next adventure possibilities. I am getting keen to adventure again now. By the way, your simpson desert episode's were awesome 👌 and is now definitely on my bucket list.7
Yeah mate, I reckon a break is needed after these big trips and appreciate the comment about the Simpson video, it’s definitely a trip worth doing!
hi mate , shame ur not riding off road anymore . im just getting back into it. can i ask what range would you get from that tank ?
Hey mate, thankfully I am not quitting, just a short break whilst the back heals!
I get about 350km's from the Safari tank.
@ legend cheers
Nice vid mate, I agree with all the comments, make the videos that make you happy.
Looking forward to your 2025 content mate.
Thanks man, hopefully we can finally get a ride in together in 2025 🤙
@@AusMotoAnytime mate
I, and probably many others, know exactly how you feel. The high and LOW is real and after a big trip like that, just riding around local is quite boring. I plan a 2 week trip every year and how I deal with it is: I start planning my next trip on the way home from the current one. I consider the local rides and dirt bike rides as practice for the next ride. I'm counting the months to my next big ride in July. Just do what makes you happy bud, we will be here.
Yeah, a lot of people have chimed in and said the same thing. I reckon you're right about the planning bit as well, having that to look forward to can make a big difference and that's probably why this stretch of not being motivated as lasted longer as I haven't had a trip planned. Thanks for the comment, Dave, I look forward to hearing about your big ride in July!
I've been on some big trips and I'm the same I can't be bothered with a afternoon or day ride.
Yeah mate, it’s hard to get motivated for one
Hey Josh; OK you need a break from the ADV rides on the 250...Considering your body injuries etc Perhaps it's the time to change bikes. There are Adv Bikes that can allow you to sit up more, allow you to have some fun and be comfortable; Honda Transalp 750, Suzuki V-Strom 800 etc...good secondhand bikes you can buy; You need a break to recover and its YOUR Channel so do what makes you happy; We are simply along the journey with you and if some leave that is their choice. Happy New Year, its a new year and time for some change... David....Adelaide....Triumph Scramblers 1200x and 900.....
Thank you David and you may be right about the bike, if I had a more comfy, larger ADV bike, I’d be less tempted to tackle the tough stuff and would have been back on the bike sooner!
Appreciate the support as always and a happy new year to you!
@@AusMoto Yes a larger bike but also allow yourself some time out on the Adv rides...Keep up your interests.
It's pretty common after a big trip mate, the exact thing happened after I returned from a tassie trip back in October.
Take the pressure off yourself, just head out and do a day ride, just you. No camera👍
Glad to hear that it’s not just me and I reckon that’s the go, thanks mate 👍
Good on ya mate, similar vibe to how I have structured my channel. a bit of everything, just keep your PreZENce in Mind' shaka
Thanks mate!
Keep doing whatever makes you happy 👍
Sure will mate 👍
Ha ha mate if I spent that long on the wr I wouldn’t climb back on for a few months either. It’s a hobby mate, keep posting up what ever videos you like, we will be here to watch them. Good luck in 2025
Haha yep, thanks for the support mate, appreciate it!
@ good luck mate.
Yeah copy that me to its a good way to do it I reckon
👍
Mate, do what you enjoy, go back to the roots of why you started the cannel, chasing the algorithm is not worth the time or effort.
Agreed mate, that's the plan going into the new year!
Yes!
👍
