    Polygon have really upped their game when it comes to the colours they are painting their bikes. That one looks especially nice.

    Excellent review. Really glad I found your channel. Moving from a Trek Marlin 6 w/upgraded Recon Silver RL. Ergon seat and grips, PNW bar and stem to an anxiously awaited Siskiu D7. More of a downcountry guy here.

    Really good video as usual! I actually like rockshox recon Fork. I had looked at this bike a while ago. The only thing that worries me a little bit about this series of polygon is how short to chain stay is it’s got to add some instability going downhill.

    Its a great value bike, that's for sure. Nicely put together. I've had experence with the Recon and agree with you - its a workhorse you can progress with. I didn't service it until I I put on 3000km on it (yes I know, too long). WTB Volt is a great saddle. The only thing you'll need to upgrade is perhaps find a good 2nd hand 11-51 Deore set (or new before they are no longer available) to get the climbs done, and the tyres. Else... its a ready made Trail Bike good to go.

    WAIT!!! You DROPPED the HAMMER!!!! Awesome. Great review. Do you think it would hold up for the type of riding I mash on a bike? I like how you talk to yourself during the ride. 42t may be a little small for my liking... Dang, those are some WIDE rims.. Whoa, you had some heart rate going. That's a heavy bike. Did you look into the bottom bracket cinch wheel as being too tight? The one on my bike was overtightened and caused some "binding" that made the bike feel sluggish. Well done video sir. Quality information and well presented there. Looks like some cool riding was done.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  10 месяцев назад +1

      Haha. Thanks! So much to upack. 😀 No, that wasn't me dropping the hammer, That was Jared Morgan from Cure Cycling. We did some filming last year in Bentonville. I think it would hold up just fine to your abuse. It's the same frame as the higher end Siskiu Ts. We'll see over time how it holds up. There are plenty of heavy parts on the bike, and I think I can get this bike down to 33lbs on the cheap. Maybe less. As far as the cranks, they spin freely. They're Shimano Hollowtech cranks. They preload differently, and it's hard to over tighten them without breaking the preload screw. It's definitely the tires making it sluggish. You can hear them dragging the bike to a stop when coasting. Lighter or fast rolling tires will wake up the bike a lot.

    How is this bike so cheap? Crazy, so cool how we can get this at such a good price. I had the T-7 then sold it and thought I was done mountain biking. Terrible idea, because I still wanna ride so badly lol I think I will pick this up, then upgrade that front fork to a fox float, upgrade drive chain to an eagle 12 speed, then the rear shock. All of that will be done over time though.

    Would you recommend this bike over a Giant Stance 29 2?

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. The Stance has a quick release dropput instead of a thru axle. That's a non-starter for me on a full suspension. Also, the Stance has dated geometry that's closer to a modern cross country bike. If you're looking for an all round trail/all mountain bike, it's the T6 hands down.

      I've seen that. Every brand has these issues. Treks for example have been known to split at the headtube. Canyon and Specialized at the seatstay. Nevertheless, I asked about it. There was an update to beef up the affected area on the T frames. I was also told that the problem was less than one 1% of the bikes sold. But, the unhappy customer is always the loudest and understandably so.

    Videos like this are stupid - “blah blah blah only $1300!!!” but tax costs are never factored in; plus $143 avg state/local tax (11%) plus $250 for “super cheap” shipping is $1693. So no, it’s not a $1300 bike it’s a $1700 bike at minimum if not more.

    The weight obsession is laughable with bikes. Go to the gym if your bike is too heavy.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  10 месяцев назад +4

      Depends on your purpose. You could go to the gym and have a light bike and be faster than another person that goes to the gym and has a heavier bike. If you just ride for fun which is what this bike is for, it's not important and the weight helps build fitness.

    • @CJGrand1
      @CJGrand1 10 месяцев назад +2

      @AdrenalineIsLife I agree with what you said. My point is EVERY RUclips mtb creator has to mention the weight of the part or that part. If weight is a priority, you would not be looking at an entry or mid level bike. It's becoming redundant how weight of parts is mentioned in almost every review.

    This bike is everywhere on RUclips, the T series I meant, so much so a buddy got a T7 and I finally tried it.
    ...
    Well it's okay. It still felt a bit flimsy for my taste, my XC bike feels more sturdy and I really hated the lack of traction from the rear when pushing backwards felt unintuitive maybe it's just the shock but it felt 😢like the rear triangle is the culprit: weird rear.
    With how things are going in the used market I'd rather get a used bike if a hardtail is not in the plans... It's a great value on paper but if you tasted other well executed modern full sus this is a bit of a letdown. Just my fresh two cent lol
