This was a huge insight on the many different names that a cyber security analyst can adopt. More equipped on knowing what to look for & what to put on my resume
Loved the video. I’m looking to go from Law Enforcement (Detective) to Cybersecurity at a later stage in life (48 years old). It’s a bit daunting but nothing worth having is ever easy. Thanks for making things clear and giving me some perspective.
Been considering cybersecurity as a career path lately, it seems daunting taking the first steps but also very excited at the opportunities and growth. Great video with great explanations, thank you!
This was great! Straight to the point and gave examples of position descriptions and objectives with career paths and wages info. Just what I was looking for. Thank you.
The best video so far that I've watched about the subject, thanks a lot for this, really helpful and useful information, now its way more clear what the role really does!
Thank you very much for making this video. It gives insight on the subject and a better understanding on what to expect in this field of cyber security.
Wow, thank you for this video. Ive been considering a career change, but from the outside looking in, its hard to know where to start and tryinf to teach myself IT is like trying to teach myself Russian. This was so helpful. Thank you!
Amazing video. Extremely helpful!!! I appreciate videos like this. I will have to watch this video multiple times because of the amount of info. Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏽💯 I will definitely subscribe to this channel.
I got an unpaid cybersecurity internship at a school. I’m in highschool right now, about to be 11th. Could you help me plan the future, for example, how many years of college, is there a limited time i should do internship, what is the best job, or something maybe simple but good money. Things like that
I would suggest to look online or in your local papers for an HHA health course for 2-3 wks. Some offer it for free, then do a CNA course for 3-4 wks. These are health courses, but they are quick and well paying. If you constantly look on indeed or glassdoor, you will find the best paying health jobs.. Just get your experience 1st, then money won't be ur problem. Now you can focus on your A+, Net+, Sec+, IT support, Linux, Cyber, cloud security, android/ios development and Ethical Hacking. Go on youtube, there are tons of free courses, quizzes and lab practice sites around. Then you just hv to find your niche.
I’m looking for a career change, I work in facilities maintenance and management, have done it for many years, im worn out… it has gotten in my head to go to school… and security analyst popped in my emails, thanks for the video, exactly what I was looking for
Thank you for the video your vids have been a great inspiration to me and a valuable tool for what I can study and hone my skills on. It’s my birthday and I’m here listening to you and writing down notes on what to study for XD that’s how much this info means to me. Don’t change or stop what h do
How can the chetbaker estate use your service finding the criminals selling chetbaker assets online because it's overwhelming could you track there ip address as well and be able to pin point the office they use globally
I want to get into cyber security because I'm a single mom of 5 and I need a income boost. But I don't want to do just for the money. It seems so hard like what do all the green codes mean but Im always into my phone 😊
I'm trying to figure out if I should apply to an online school for a Bachelor's or a community college tech certificate. I am looking at Fullerton college's Cybersecurity analyst program. What would you recommend?
If this helps, the Security Analyst role typically comes before a Cyber Security Engineering role. Those titles are based on the organization but that's generally the industry standard. If you're brand new, Security Analyst is the way to go.
Hi, I am about to probably join a cyber security analyst apprentice program at my school. I don’t know anything about Sims and stuff like that. I was just wondering will it be harder for me to grasp? I would like to consider myself a tech guy like I make music and produce so I don’t know.
I've heard good things about the Google cert for entry level folk but at the same time, certs come with reputation and that cert is so new that it doesn't really have one yet. For an entry level gig, the Comptia Security+ is still the standard.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I have a masters degree in cybersecurity and digital forensics but I have a few problems. 1). I’m struggling to find work due to my education to work experience imbalance. 2). I’m not super technical, though I do hold a masters degree. 3). I’m a little worried about where and what company or role I could do to start my career off. Any advice? Would love to share my email with you for further advice if that’s optional.
Both CS with cyber classes and Information Systems can be helpful in getting this role. It ultimately depends on the specific requirements of the job and what skills you want to focus on. It's always a good idea to research the job market and see which degree aligns better with the roles you're interested in.
I have not heard about Comptia's Data+ cert but one thing to look at is the certification's reputation. If you're looking to get into cyber security, the Comptia Security+ is still the standard and has a great reputation with employers.
The cyberseek site pulls data from job postings in the US. If you are looking for more geographical job posting, LinkedIn or Indeed would be better options for you.
Mad Hat was here 😅

I'm trying to figure out if I should apply to an online school for a Bachelor's or a community college tech certificate. I am looking at Fullerton college's Cybersecurity analyst program. What would you recommend?
Just watched this and the one about cyber engineer and still can’t decide which im more interested in
If this helps, the Security Analyst role typically comes before a Cyber Security Engineering role. Those titles are based on the organization but that's generally the industry standard. If you're brand new, Security Analyst is the way to go.
Great video, new sub here
Do you recommend bootcamps as a starting point in my cybersecurity career? Thank you
Thank you for your question! I just made a response video and I shout you out. I will be uploaded later this week.
Can a person that knows nothing about IT, cyber security or any of this but interested. Do a good job or no
Hi, I am about to probably join a cyber security analyst apprentice program at my school. I don’t know anything about Sims and stuff like that. I was just wondering will it be harder for me to grasp? I would like to consider myself a tech guy like I make music and produce so I don’t know.
will there be any problem for hearing impired person to take this career
Is software installation part of cyber security Analyst??
Is it easier getting in as a management information system degree?
what you of the google cert to get an entry gig in this field?
I've heard good things about the Google cert for entry level folk but at the same time, certs come with reputation and that cert is so new that it doesn't really have one yet. For an entry level gig, the Comptia Security+ is still the standard.
How long is schooling for this? And is it essential
I know certs and experience are best. But what degree can assist with getting this role, CS with cyber classes or Information Systems?
Both CS with cyber classes and Information Systems can be helpful in getting this role. It ultimately depends on the specific requirements of the job and what skills you want to focus on. It's always a good idea to research the job market and see which degree aligns better with the roles you're interested in.
Do you recommend taking the CompTIAData+ certification if you have some experience?
I have not heard about Comptia's Data+ cert but one thing to look at is the certification's reputation. If you're looking to get into cyber security, the Comptia Security+ is still the standard and has a great reputation with employers.
hey! are the job openings cyberseek shows apply worldwide or are they geographically inclined to one place? please respond
The cyberseek site pulls data from job postings in the US. If you are looking for more geographical job posting, LinkedIn or Indeed would be better options for you.
I liked and subscribed

Neither one of those statements were mentioned in this video.
I am one... 😁
Nice! Great to have other cybersecurity professionals here!
how many years did it take you to be one. And do you have to know python/java etc..
@@Tea_K821 I've been in IT for 20 years... you need probably 5-10 years of systems and network engineering before you can be successful in cysec
👍🏽
It's SIEM by the way 🫡
Thanks for the correction.
