    The Burgos cathedral is amazing. I can’t wait to see it in person. As a lover of Christian art history and a Catholic, I’m in awe of its beauty and tribute to the Holy Trinity. I can see the story of Jesus’ life, passion, death and resurrection in the Reliefs, statues and other pieces. As for the 5 euros/9 euros to “pay” to get in and enjoy the magnificent cathedral, I would look at it as a “donation” for the upkeep and maintenance for this magnificent cathedral. It’s very costly to renovate, repair and maintain these massive structures, not to mention pay for lighting, etc

      That's very true. That's a good way to look at it. It is an extraordinary cathedral, one of the most magnificent we have seen anywhere. You can spend hours in front of the reliefs. They are moving and obviously meaningful. I know you will love spending time there.

    Really enjoying your Camino series! I’m going in May and it’s also nice to see what kind of climate and vegetation I can expect at that time. :)

    Is it still busy in August? I thought that was outside the usual popular warmer months.

      I'm not sure. We did the hike from the end of April to June.

    What's the app that you used to find grocery stores?

    • @lostamonglocals5382
      @lostamonglocals5382  Год назад

      We didn't use one specifically for grocery stores. The towns are so small that they're easy to find. Just make sure you always have some food on hand, and stop whenever you see a store if you run out. In other words, plan ahead. Same goes for cash. There isn't one app that's just awesome all around. We used a combination of Buen Camino, Wise Pilgrim, and Camino Pilgrim. Each has its perks and downfalls.

    Notre Dame es posterior a las grandes catedrales de España. Y no mas bella.😊
    Tu no pagas si vas a misa. Pagas si vas sólo de visita. No digas tonterias. En los museos de todo el mundo, la mayoria, se paga.y la catedral tambien es un museo.

      I agree Notre Dame is no more beautiful. Spain has amazing cathedrals. Obviously, you don't pay to go to mass. I realize paying to visit churches doesn't bother most people, it's just always been a little thing for me. It isn't foolishness, just a personal thing. I appreciate others disagree. With the museum and audio guide, a fee to see Burgos is understandable and worth it, which I made perfectly clear.
